Paloma Finesse Side

Very nice and luxe hotel. Very good good. For work I come in many holiday hotels and this is very good in all aspects. Good entertainment for the kids as well.

We are coming to the end of our 2 week stay at Paloma Finesse. Stay as a family of 3. It's our first time in Turkey and we chose a great hotel. Good points: Excellent variety of good quality food. So much to choose from every day, this was one of my highlights. I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on the alcoholic drinks. The hotel is very clean and modern. We chose this hotel mainly because we could have a family suite with swim up room and there was a door to separate the main bedroom and the lounge area. The swim up pool was lovely and big - we were really impressed so we didn't use the main pool even once during the holiday! There are the usual sun-bed reservations but not too much. From what I could see, there were still loungers available by the main pool till late morning. Mini bar refilled daily with branded soft drinks. The water park is fantastic for adults and children. 24-7 food and ice cream. Small shop on site. Of course you pay over the odds but it's still very convenient. The gym is very well equipped and also maintained to a high standard. The exercise classes such as HIIT pilates and Tabata were a great workout. Breakfast finishes at 11am which is so refreshing. Hate having to rush to be a breakfast before 10 as in other hotels. Nightime entertainment was varied and not cheesy. Short walk into a busy part of town with shops, restaurants etc. if you want a bit more "life". Not so good points: There is no window in the bathroom therefore it holds the smells and condensation after using the facilities. Improved ventilation is needed. The shower button to change from handheld shower to rainfall shower is very hard to use. I often had to hold it down for 20 seconds or more for the rainfall shower to remain on. The "do not disturb" light is mostly ignored. This could be due to the bright sun making the light hard to see but it happened a lot of the time which woke up our daughter in the mornings. Most young children were walking around all day and at the restaurants, with phones / iPads glued to their hands & faces which is a shame but not the hotels fault. It's a reflection of society. Additional notes: At the time we came, the hotel had mainly Russian guests. More British came in the second week. Overall there was a large variety of nationalities at this hotel. Taxi to Antalya takes about 1 hour. There a couple of cats but they are very gentle and seem to be well looked after.The hotel is by no means over run like with some other hotels we have been to.

I had an excellent experience at Med Kitchen. Ömer, our waiter, was truly exceptional — incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire visit. You can immediately tell he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about the guests. He provided flawless service and made sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of at all times. It’s rare to experience service at this level. Huge praise to Ömer — he definitely elevates the whole restaurant.

Just back from 2 weeks at Paloma Finesse. It is a wonderful hotel but we found the vibe was not quite hitting the mark in some places. The room was a suite with sea view and we found this to be fantastic. The porter who took us to the room gave us a thorough explanation and was very friendly. It is nice to have a separate bedroom from the living area or where the extra bed is located. The bathroom is large and clean, as was the rest of the room. The minibar is stocked every day with soft drinks as standard. The setting of the hotel is marvellous with lush greenery all around which is relaxing and a pleasure to walk through. The space at the front behind the beach is beautiful and gives a relaxing atmosphere which is well kept. There is ample sunbeds on the beautiful beach which was one of the best hotel beaches we’ve been to. Similarly the pool area is very nice, with no rush for sun beds. You can rent double sunbeds with umbrellas for €15 per day if you want a little more luxury. The gym was very good and had plenty of equipment, was never busy and of a good standard with staff always on hand to provide towels and water. Reception were always very polite when we requested anything such as extra hangers or whether there were buses nearby which there are, every 20 mins to Manavgat and Side. The main restaurant has amazing choice, with pizza, pasta, meat, fish and salads across the various counters. The food is very tasty, especially the steaks which are cooked to order, so much so my son had them almost every night. However, there aren’t any themed nights, there is no one to greet guests at the door, so kids often run in and out, on one occasion with a football, and no welcome drinks or cocktails to take to your table which could add the extra luxury feel. A common theme around the hotel was that the staff were excellent but the service was limited due to insufficient staff in the right places. For example the pool bar was often slow due to only one or two bartenders being present. Similarly in the main restaurant, we often had to go to the bar to get our own drinks because the staff could not cope with the amount of orders and tables needing to be cleaned. Glenda and Betul where however amazing at tending to us the entire stay and Pinar at the pool bar made an amazing Whiskey cocktail that we came back for time and time again. I think the downside with the hotel is that the bar and entertainment areas are slightly confused. The bistro bar which is 24/7 lacked a large TV, which was disappointing for the many World Cup viewers and there was no music at all in the evening, not even background music, which, coupled with the very cold AC meant that the space felt quite flat. The beach club was the main attraction in the evening as there was always live music which was of a very good quality. But the area is used for too many things as it’s a snack bar by day, à la carte restaurant and beach club by night so often people are still eating while the crowd builds for the evening entertainment. It’s also quite a small area and often there aren’t enough tables. One person we must note is Kathleen the waitress at the beach club who was AMAZING! So attentive fun and friendly and such a people person who was going above and beyond to make sure everyone was catered for with drinks and nuts throughout the whole evening. Bravo! There was daytime entertainment was there but not shouted about, so often there were few people playing darts or boccia or volleyball as it wasn’t promoted. Similarly the evening entertainment at the main amphitheater was only 20 minutes for kids and then a show afterwards on selected nights. Is the hotel trying to cater for children or be a relaxing adult focused hotel-? Not sure?! One thing we noticed was that higher management were often walking around not doing anything or trying to find issues where there were not any instead of helping the overstretched waiting staff in the bars. We did not use the waterpark but it looked to be fantastic and a big draw for families. The spa prices were quite expensive so we didn’t use it despite the persuasive spa staff trying to entice us in. Overall, it is a wonderful hotel with excellent staff and a great aspects and we would recommend if you want a relaxing stay amongst lush greenery and a beautiful beach.
