Paloma Grida

We had a truly wonderful stay at Paloma Grida and can highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The entire resort is exceptionally clean, well maintained, and offers a beautiful atmosphere that is perfect for unwinding. The food was varied, fresh, and absolutely delicious, with plenty of options to suit every taste. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. We would especially like to thank Samir from the entertainment team. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making every guest’s experience enjoyable. His positive energy and enthusiasm significantly enhanced the atmosphere of the hotel and truly set him apart from the other entertainers. He deserves special recognition for his outstanding work. Strong 4 out of 5 stars Location: The hotel is a short 45min transfer from Antalya airport, and Antalya old town. It’s also pretty close to Belek centre. First day we took a taxi (€10) into Belek which I can only describe as an organised racket. The centre is full of fake good stores, not much else. Second day I put my running shoes on and ran up and around Belek, it’s a quick 5min jog or 10-15 casual walk, there’s a Migros & Carrefour supermarket for anything you need. Back to the taxi ‘racket’ we arranged an uber to take us to Antalya old town (amazing little historic town and awesome views - definitely worth a late afternoon / evening trip) but the Uber cancelled saying the hotel taxis didn’t like uber picking up guests (hotel taxi was €70 each way and uber €40) I don’t mind paying for convenience but almost double is scandalous! Hotel / Rooms: The hotel has recently been renovated, and it looks great, very clean, nice fittings / fixtures and simple things like the chairs and tables all feel high end. We were travelling with our 2x teenage daughters so asked for rooms together, the room the gave us had an adjoining door which they unlocked for us (something we specifically looked for when booking through the travel agent, however we were told this wasn’t available). We were located in one on the ground floor wings of the main hotel building. This gave easy access to reception and the avenue, as well as shortcuts to the pools, waterpark and Spa. The two weeks we were here the temperature hit 49c on a couple of the days with most being over 40-45c so special mention that the AC in the hotel and the rooms is great! Super cold (to the point my wife couldn’t sleep for being too cold). WiFi in the rooms, around hotel and pools was also brilliant, we brought Turkish eSIM’s but didn’t really need to use much data as the hotel WiFi was so good. One thing to mention (probably enough to drop part of a star) was the cleaners must’ve used the end of our corridor to gather sheets / minibar so could be quite noisy in the mornings as the shouted to each other and organised themselves. Food / Restaurants: The main buffet restaurant was super busy every breakfast / lunch / dinner. We found a quiet little ‘separate’ dining area into the left which was quieter, felt almost like a separate restaurant other than it was self service. That area was serviced for lunch and dinner by (what felt) like our own personal server Mustafa, he’d greet us and make a table for us every lunch and dinner we were there. His level of service was definitely worth mentioning. He would go out of his was to make sure we had everything we needed, which… unfortunately made some of the other servers seem lacking in enthusiasm in comparison. Mutlu (sp?) at the pool bar was great, as was the guy whizzing around on his roller blades serving drinks by the pool. The food in the buffet restaurant was really good, there was always a good selection of proteins, fish, chicken, lamb and some mystery meats :) and lots of salad, beans, rice, pulses etc. my wife, who is usually wary of buffet ‘hygiene’ was even complimentary if it, clean and good selection (there were flies, but what can you do, they were burning oils to try prevent it) . There were queues for the usual stuff, grilled meats, Asian foods when on, but nothing terrible. The à la carte restaurants were ‘ok’ not much of a selection, and doesn’t feel too far detached from what’s on offer during the day or at the buffet restaurant. We usually maximise what we can at the à la cartes but we cancelled our reservation at the Avare and our second booking at wabi sabi to go see our pal Mustafa at the main restaurant. During the day, there’s lots of options for ‘late breakfast’ if you miss the main sitting, the quentine bar or bistro are good for lunch too and a lot quieter than the main restaurant. Amenities / Atmosphere: Around the pool, there wasn’t too much going on, we joined in on the pool aerobics a couple of times, water polo etc, which was good fun. The days we didn’t join in the aerobics/zoomba etc, you could tell when it was on because the music went up a notch and it felt lively for 30/60min but other than that just relaxed pool vibes, which was fine by us. We had a couple of people come by asking for photo sessions / spa sessions but you say no and they leave you alone without hassle (or yes and get the sales pitch for 10min). The evening atmosphere was ‘ok’ the amphitheatre shows were all a bit ‘samey’ we went to 3 and that was enough. The live bands / music at the Quentine bar were good, people up dancing and getting involved. We used the tennis courts one night, had the place to ourselves (too hot!) but was good fun. We hired jet skis from the beach vendors a couple of times through the holiday. One time at the place to the right (€90 for 15min, 130hp) and then another time we were told to go up the other end of the beach, he told us the other guys shouldn’t have rented us jet skis as they serviced our hotel (another racket?? Who knows) (€100 for 15min, 60hp) we were going to arrange a boat trip, but it was honestly too hot, what I can say is there didn’t seem like too many places to arrange the trips with, so suspect you’d have to go with whatever was offered.

We visited this hotel for the first time in mid-June. It was fantastic, the weather was great, and there weren't that many people there. The rooms were clean and cleaned daily. The food was delicious, and it was different every day. The water slides were great. There was great entertainment for children every evening. There were fun-filled evening attractions for children and adults. There was also daytime entertainment and sports led by animators, such as water aerobics and water volleyball. We highly recommend it.
