Regnum Carya

5th day at the hotel the hotel was amazing and foods were delicious. I also wanna mention the evening shows which were professionally organized and the entertainment activites such as volleyball and darts were great hosted by Bora… We will definitely come back again!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic Immaculately clean staff are very attentive. The buffet is absolutely out of this world. Fantastic choices of food all very well cooked meets cooked to order cheese room cured meats room. I don’t know how many pools it has but it’s gotta be five or six all very big plenty of sun lounges just an all-round fantastic hotel

This is an extraordinary place. I’m not someone who normally stays in all-inclusive hotels, so that took some getting used to! As a party of 16 on a golf trip I was blown away by the size, quality and breadth of offer of this complex. From the chocolate strawberries and bubbly on arrival we were treated really well and fed to the gunnels night after night. We used the pools, padel courts and (of course) the beautiful golf courses. So why only four out of five (I hear you cry). Well, sometimes the service in the bars was slow and we didn’t always get what we asked for. Also (but this is probably common amongst all such establishments) it all felt a bit corporate and soul-less. The Irish bar bore no resemblance to anything Irish other than it served Guinness. The Japanese restaurant was €30 extra per head but wasn’t really any better than the extensive and excellent buffet (we were really just paying €30 each to be waited at table) and certainly didn’t feel Japanese. However, the whole experience was quite something. Probably the most enjoyable thing about the hotel was the people-watching. If I was an anthropologist this place could be the basis for a thesis! Could be anywhere in the world really. Don’t bother bringing a guide book to Turkey.

On arrival at Regnum Carya we were delighted. It's a big hotel and very classy. The receptionist made us feel very welcome personally taking us through the check-in procedure, setting up our wi-fi, advising us about the facilities on site and accompanying us to our room. Room presentation was also to a very high standard with a walk-in wardrobe providing plenty of space for clothes and cases etc. Outside the Carya there are several pools. The beach is a short walk away or you can take the buggy which operates frequently from just outside the lobby. The grounds are immaculate and the walk is interesting in that there are peacocks roaming freely and some of the animals from the on-site Ali-baba's Farm are let out to graze under supervision each morning. While this is a joy to see we were slightly concerned that the smaller goats were being used for photo opportunities with children which caused the animals some distress. It would be better if the hotel stopped this. Closer to the beach there are many more spectacular pools and the sister hotel Regnum Crown. This is more recently built and the better of the two hotels in my opinion not that there is anything downmarket in any way about the Carya. Both are fantastic but the Crown is better and quite spectacular internally. If we were to return I would definitely aim to stay at the Crown as it is newer, closer to the beach and where most of the entertainment and facilities are. Also on site is an aqua-park which we didn't use but looked fabulous for families with children. This resort is superb and we are planning to return next year. As all-inclusive guests at Carya the only thing that we found frustrating was that night-time dining options were limited to the two buffets (Carya & Crown) and the Brazilian at Carya all of which are excellent but largely self-service. If you prefer table service then you need to be at one of the other on-site restaurants which, for guests stopping at Carya, requires a supplement and are very heavily booked. There are plenty of other places for lunch and snacks around the site throughout the daytime. I believe that the concept at The Crown Hotel is that 'All Inclusive' means just that. Assuming I am correct and funds permit then the Crown would be the better option but that should not deter anyone from staying at Carya. One last thing, all of the staff were exceptional and couldn't have tried any harder. We had a great holiday!

Absolutely superb holiday. The hotel, food ( buffet, Maya, Nokia, pan Asian and a grill de Brazil) and staff were absolutely outstanding! Hotel impeccable! Of particular note, the service at the adult pool was just brilliant, the towel guy, the lifeguard and Ulas, fukan and Yousef were so friendly and looked after us so well. Gem the sunglasses lady was fabulous and so funny, great English which she learned from game of thrones - Thank you all for making our stay amazing. We will be back!
