Seaden Sea Planet Resort & Spa

We spent two weeks at Sea Planet at the end of June and beginning of July as a family, and we had a fantastic holiday. Our room was spacious, had a lovely side sea view, and was in very good condition. Housekeeping did an excellent job, cleaning it thoroughly every few days, which suited us perfectly as we didn't need daily cleaning. The food was very good. Breakfast offered plenty of options, and the same could be said for lunch and dinner. There was always a great selection of fresh fruit available, and different flavours of ice cream appeared every few days. We also appreciated the late-night buffet with enough choices for anyone feeling hungry at midnight. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful from the very beginning. Considering they deal with hundreds of guests every day, they always remained professional and welcoming. The pool area was excellent – a large main swimming pool, a smaller pool with slides for younger children, and another pool with bigger slides. Although the slides were a little too slow for my 12-year-old son 😂, they were still great fun. Everything was kept very clean. There were tennis courts available, although it was a bit of a shame that there were no lights for evening play, as playing during the day in 40°C heat was challenging. Thankfully, the two table tennis tables kept us entertained. The hotel grounds were nice, with lots of greenery that was very well maintained. There were several bars around the resort serving coffee, soft drinks, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. The animation team was brilliant, especially Seba and Allah Y'e. Their morning song was a positive start to every day. Activities included water polo, aqua aerobics, yoga, beach volleyball, and several other games, so anyone who enjoys being active definitely won't be bored. The gym was also well equipped. Evening entertainment was good, with something different every night. The beach was nice too. It is a little stony, but with swimming shoes it wasn't an issue. The pier was fantastic, and we liked the staff on roller skates delivering water and soft drinks directly to your sunbeds, meaning you didn't have to leave and go to the bar. There were also water sports available on the beach – just be careful, as the jet skis are very fast! The staff there were very helpful too. The hotel also organises taxis to and from Side at a fixed price, which is very convenient. Just outside the hotel there are a few bazaar shops with decent prices if anyone is interested in a "Hugo" or "Dolce & Gabbana" 😉 or simply wants to buy some Turkish souvenirs. This was our third trip to Turkey, and Sea Planet was one of the best hotels we have stayed in. We had a wonderful holiday Thank you to the entire team for making our family holiday so enjoyable. We truly appreciated the hotel, its excellent facilities, the delicious food, and all the activities available for the children. We have had a wonderful holiday with our four children, aged 11, 8, 5, and 3. We would especially like to thank the waiter, Bekir, in the main restaurant. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and service-minded. He really made sure that every dinner was a great experience for our family. We would be happy to come back here again!

Avoid this hotel. It does not deserve a 5-star rating; at best, it is a 3-star property. The photos online are misleading and do not accurately reflect the reality of the hotel. I will start with the positives, as unfortunately there are not many. The hotel grounds are nice, the beach is pleasant, and the food is generally acceptable. Now for the negatives: * The Front Office Manager at reception was rude, unprofessional, and arrogant. * They advertise a “room upgrade,” but in reality they try to place guests in basement-level rooms that smell of dampness and mold. If you do not complain, you may end up spending your entire vacation there. * Most of the staff were not particularly helpful. For example, when we asked for a spoon for our baby, we were told to get up and find one ourselves. * The children’s water slides appear poorly constructed and repeatedly modified, with rough surfaces that can easily cause scrapes and minor injuries. The slides were also frequently shut down for reasons unknown to guests. * The children’s entertainment was extremely repetitive. During our 10-day stay, the same show and the same five songs were repeated every single day. * The kids’ playroom had virtually no toys. * The rooms are outdated, and the floors were so dirty that our children could not comfortably walk barefoot in the room. * The Wi-Fi was unreliable and practically unusable outside the room. In most areas of the hotel, the connection either did not work at all or was extremely poor. * The hotel is located right next to a cemetery, something that is not prominently disclosed and may be unpleasant for some guests. Overall, this is a very poor and overpriced hotel. In our opinion, it is worth around €1,000 for a 10-day stay, and certainly not more than that. We regretted our choice from the very first day of our vacation and would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a genuine 5-star experience.

I would like to rate more stars but there are too many tiny issues chasing me&my wife through our visit during 7 days. I ll start with pros: *Food is excellent, plenty of choices from various kitchens around the world. *Ala carte restaurants are very tasty as well *Rooms with view on the sea are very enjoyable *Plenty of drinks to choose from in the bars *Distance to the sea from hotel rooms *External activities around the beach Cons: *Most of the crew preferring to speak Deutsch only, English seems to be a problem - especially to barman's *4 elevators are not enough sometimes and you could wait even more than 5 mins to get into, their arrival order seems to be totally random *Sea swimming area is not cleaned, there are tiny fragments of rust with paint and other tiny junk floating 24/7 *On the beach in the sand and rocks there are tiny wooden sharp particles and a lot of used cigareetes, not cleaned as well. Not mentioning the of weird women selling some neklaces, security doesnt take care of her at all. *In the swimming pool area we had 2 times our towels just pushed into the grass or on floor, lifeguards are not interested in such incidents. If you come after 7:30am you can forget about your place in here. *Smoking is not prohibited at the terraces which makes the meetings at the dinner or any other time a worse experience overall.

The hotel location is not the best — it is located next to a cemetery, it is very windy, and there are constantly large waves in the sea, making it impossible to swim. The beach is dirty, and at the exit to the beach there is a local beggar/vendor sitting there. As for the hotel animators, they mostly just film their TikTok videos and pay attention to young girls so they can make good TikTok content; the rest of the guests do not seem to matter to them. The service is very poor. The only staff who do a good job are the room cleaning service team.
