Side Crown Serenity

Crown serenity second time here As you walk into the hotel it really does look lovely, nice furniture to relax on , looks very palacious. Check in was good .we were shown to our room and were told about the safe . The room was generally clean and well stocked with towels .but very tired looking, it’s ready for a refurb . Bathroom needs a good clean, around the shower the grout is black , the shower doesn’t work as it should. The bedding was clean , the pillows awful,old and lumpy and worn out, mattress too hard for me . Resturant in general very good waiting on staff some better than others but in general all worked hard . breakfast Queue for omelettes , sometimes 12 deep the lady making them is lovely smiling most of the time, it needs more on that station to deal with the amount of people.food is quite often cold 80% of the time . I would say there is something to eat for most people. Lunch is a good choice but again cold food , one occasion went as soon as it opened, the soup was just warm , and a chicken meal cold , even the chips were cold . Maybe they should heat the Bain Maria up . Dinner is much the same and can get boring . The desserts look amazing but most taste the same . We used the beach a few times , they serve drinks in cheap plastic not at all very strong ,can only get larger and wine though the food is simple , chicken or burgers or some mix from other meals . We used the small front pool here the barman Mohamid Dennis is the best , here the lager was better than the inside bar. Mohamid so friendly and pleasant, he worked so hard running the tiny bar and serving people a credit to the hotel . Here the umbrellas were tatty sparse and broken no where near enough very tired looking .not 5* more like a 2 * The toilets were not stocked with paper for 3 days while we used that pool area . The bar in reception can get hectic , the drinks are cheap brands and some taste awful.bar staff work hard . We used the Italian restaurant and here we felt very rushed as if they wanted us to eat up and go, the food was nice except the main meal was over cooked, overall it looks lovely but again getting tired in need of a bit of work to tidy it up , Spoke to an English couple,the young girl was telling me how she was compromised by one of the mangers suggesting she went to a room with him , this behavior is out of order . The jeweler was a pleasant man :)the handbag man helpful, I will not be going back to this hotel , it is not 5* more 3/4 .

This hotel is really great. Nice clean rooms and especially Murat and Hakan from the entertainment team are awesome!!!

Without being a negative nelly disappointing is an understatement to say the least. This was our second stay at this hotel we stayed here in 2022 and had the best experience heince why we decided to rebook this year bad mistake by far . Night one no electrics working in our sons room shower didn't work , dirty floor all gritty and curtains fell down after complaining to the manager he did get all these things sorted but a moan in turkish to the maintenance bloke ! Not very friendly at all . Food was ok breakfast eggs were cold and tables weren't very clean. But we decided to make the best of our 7 nights stay so we ate out in side old town a few times . Then on our last morning we were checking out to be told we were given 2 door cards which we were only given one then asked for our towel cards back ! Towel cards which we never got as we always take our own towels to which the manager called us liar's and he has CCTV up so we said how dare you call us liar's and check your CCVT NOW ! he was so rude even the young lady behind the reception desk kept apologising to us but the manager he was beyond rude towards myself and my husband. 30 years we have been travelling to Turkey never have we been called liar's over bloody beach towel cards ! I wanted to leave my email address so that when he checked his CCTV he could then email an apology but he didn't want to know he decided to go out the back until we left the hotel . Absolutely appalling manager shame as this put a complete downer on the trip but hey ho next year I think it's time for a change ! Sorry guys I know it's a very negative review but after 30 years of visiting turkey this is absolutely the worst experience.

We have just come back and can honestly say we enjoyed our stay. I was worried reading all the bad reviews but there was really no need. Our experience was an enjoyable one. Our room was cleaned everyday. Everywhere was clean . Staff work super hard . Pool area clean. Lovely pool.if you rather a quieter pool go to the one at the front of hotel. Food was plentiful. Always something to eat .Omelette lady in the morning made beautiful omelettes and she works so hard . So a big thank you to her. We found all the staff very pleasant and polite. Drinks were local but absolutely fine. Entertainment was ok some good shows. Shuttle bus down to beach every 15 mins which was really good . Beach lovely as was the beach bar .Plenty of food and drink again. Some good shops and bars around just a short walk away. As for the mosque. We had no problem with it heard the call to prayer a couple times early morning but it doesn’t last long so didn’t bother us one bit . It is a Muslim country after all. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would recommend this hotel. For the price I don’t see how anyone can complain. Thank you for our stay crown serenity.
