Side Crown Serenity

Leaving tomorrow thank the lord! Absolutely the worst hotel I have been to in turkey. Barely no entertainment day or night. Skeleton staff , and a party of 12 adults who are asked constantly for tips. Rude reception and guest relations useless. Don't even bother with the speciality restaurants as they are as disgusting as the main restaurant. If a glass gets broken by a staff member they walk away and it was left for 35 minutes for people to step over. We have had the same pool area for 10 days and there has been 2 dirty coffee cups there since we arrived and the morning we've left. This is far from a 5* and I feel generous rating it as 2*. Looks great on the outside and our room was cleaned daily but I feel sorry for the cleaners as that's the only decent thing I can say. All the other staff are too busy on there phones . Not saw one table wiped in 10 days, honestly it's unbelievable.

Just returned from 10 nights. And I’m pleased to say we had a fantastic holiday. I was concerned before we arrived after reading previous reviews, but we were both very impressed. The food was plentiful. Tons of choice each day. Drinks were great, especially the cocktails! All staff were warm and pleasant throughout our stay (including reception!) There was entertainment eg darts, water aerobics etc during the day and most evenings there was something on. But if you’re looking for a party hotel, this isn’t for you! Thankfully we weren’t. We especially enjoyed the ‘quiet pool’ during the day. The animation team work very hard - special shout out to Recep (I think this is his name) ‘the darts guy’ who entertained us each morning. No problems getting sun loungers or tables in the restaurant. Our rooms were cleaned as often as you wanted (electronic sign on door which you change to ask for it to be cleaned) towels and bed changed each time. Fridge restocked. Yes the rooms and corridors are a little tired but overall the hotel itself is not. Locally there are many shops to walk to. Also a few bars. Shout out to Oyster Bar where the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Please don’t be put off by other reviews!

Cons - The staff at the reception were very grumpy with no customer service training/behaviour. They provided a very poor service at a very important part of the holiday - the arrival. This is the management's fault, they should educate the team and teach them to be friendly and professional to the customers. The beach - it was ok, but too crowded. The room/ shower room - decent and clean but deserves a good refurbishment if you want to call the hotel a 5* accomodation. Pros - The food was plenty and tasty. I would not come back to this hotel but it was an ok 3 1/2 * hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay at Side Crown Serenity. Our room was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The room was kept clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of space for our belongings. We also appreciated having a balcony where we could sit and relax.

We were kicked out of the hotel, after only 5 days out of the 14 we were supposed to stay. I allegedly disturbed other guests. At the hotel came the gendarmerie, the hotel security man, and of course the hotel manager for guest relations (woman) Shameful act, I will not return to that hotel again. The guests were visibly disturbed to see 3 uniformed gendarmes fully equipped came to hotel at the invitation the manager. The English language is unknown to all staff, even the manager has a very rudimentary knowledge of the English language. It was very difficult for me to explain something in plain English, since the staff spoke to me in Turkish. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Housekeeping is stilling stuff from the guest rooms.
