The Norm Oriental

First of all, it must be said that this is definitely not a five-star hotel, even by local standards. It is an older hotel, I estimate about 20 years old. It is maintained in some way, but for example, the doors, door frames, and bathroom were in pretty poor condition and definitely needed professional repair or renovation. The main restaurant is a weak point. The chairs are incredibly dirty, and cleanliness and tidiness are clearly not the most important things for the staff. Unless you arrive at the beginning of opening hours, it is difficult to find a clean table that is ready for use. It often happens that the tables are full of dirty dishes and the staff simply cannot keep up with clearing them away. The meals are repeated every day with minor changes, and it would be better to prepare two additional main courses than twenty different vegetable side dishes. The meals are also often lukewarm or almost cold. The vast majority of guests are from the Russian Federation. In some Turkish hotels, the staff tries to correct their behavior, but here even the basic dress code is not observed, and many guests go to the restaurant in beachwear or swimsuits, sometimes even in the evening. These guests also constantly take food from the restaurant to the entire hotel, which is usually prohibited everywhere. Here, the staff has completely given up on their work, and the hotel looks accordingly in public areas. The main restaurant is constantly quite noisy, which is exacerbated by the fact that the staff handle the dishes rather insensitively and transport them on squeaky trolleys. Forget about a quiet dinner here. Some of the staff also cannot manage even basic communication in English. Cats roam freely throughout the hotel grounds. This is quite nice, but the staff also lets them walk freely around the main restaurant, which is extremely unsanitary. I strongly doubt that they are all vaccinated. The hotel beach and pier are well maintained, and the sun loungers and parasols are new, so there is nothing to complain about here. To sum things up, this is a "Russian" hotel with Russian practices, hygiene, and standards. I rate the quality/price ratio as poor. The hotel management has somehow set certain standards in the hotel, but it should not then present it as a five-star hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel to guests from Western and Central Europe.

My mother and sister just came back from holiday and this hotel. When we first booked it we were very excited to be there as it looked amazing on pictures on their website but reality is different. On the check in day we already had problem with reception as they gave us "upgrade" from our booked main building junior suite sea view to family room, same view. At first we were happy to get bigger room as it was already end of season but when we came to room we were very disappointed as the "sea view" was actually direct view on rows of solar pannels and glimpse of sea far away on the left side. When I asked for our originally booked room with direct sea view they told us hotel is full and they just can give us another room on the same floor, again view on solar pannels. Try again in the morning, same answer. Both receptionists were bad in english, especially female and with kinda rude attitude since the first day. Room had two diveded rooms with old and yellow-ish air conditioners wich had problems to cool down room properly so we needed to keep them running almost all fay since temperatures were 34 C every day of our stay and our room was on 7th floor. Cleaners did their job just on the surface, not deep cleaning, no changing sheets, just towels, making beds and that's it. Food was great every day, lots of choice. Pool was cold, not so many people swam in there. Beach was ok, sea was warm and clean but after few days we noticed they don't clean sunbeds, side tables, little trash cans were sometimes full from day before. Used female pantyliners and other stuf casually laying around on the beach. After "Beer fest" night beach smelled bad of spilled alcohol, trash and pieces of lemons an oranges were everwere. Hair dryer almost light itself on fire so we had to dry our hair on the balcony on sun. They fixed it eventually. Stuff does not speak english, some of them maybe begginers level. Main languages are turkish and russian. As my family and I visited many different 5 star hotels, this was not even close to it with hospitality, with clenliness, professionalism in general way, not able to properly speak with English speaking guest. Not coming back for sure.
