Everything was fantastic! Kids club and entertainment team are brilliant. Lots to do for adults and children. Shows are really good as well, top class!
Fantastic hotel and amazing entertainment team - Sumaila was the best, so helpful and couldn’t do more for us, we really appreciate all he did for us and the children.
Very good hotel we like it Staff friendly and good
A lengthy review but bear with me. This hotel is great and I’d highly recommend it. If you’re unsure whether to book it, then do! Main Restaurant Good food, great selection, and probably one of the best buffet choices we’ve experienced. You’re always going to get unhappy people complaining, but there’s plenty of basic food for fussy eaters alongside a real mixture of cuisines, so there really is something for everyone. À La Carte Restaurants We tried Capri, the fish restaurant, and Nori, the Asian restaurant, and the food at both was absolutely incredible. My only little criticism would be that there is simply too much food. I hated seeing how much we had left because we were just too full. You’re currently asked to choose one main, but I actually think it would be better to let people choose what they genuinely want to eat and order more if they need it. This could help reduce food waste. For example, our daughter has a tomato allergy, which I have to say was catered for wonderfully. The chef kindly prepared her a separate salad without tomatoes, which was fantastic. However, she was never going to eat the salad, and had we been asked, I would have said not to prepare it so that ingredients weren’t wasted. One other thing to mention is that none of the à la carte restaurants are air-conditioned, so it was simply too hot to really enjoy sitting and eating. Considering these restaurants are an additional cost, I think air conditioning should definitely be considered. Rooms Our room was spacious and perfect for two adults and two children under 10. We had a huge bed and a sofa bed, which was more than big enough for what we needed. The rooms were kept exceptionally clean by the maids every day. We needed some extra pillows and a duvet during our stay, and these were brought without question. The housekeeping service was excellent. Pools & Sunbeds There are so many pools, and they were all clean and well maintained. The sunbeds are also really good quality — no plastic beds here! I was really worried after reading reviews saying you had to get up ridiculously early to reserve a sunbed, and that towels would be removed if you left them unattended. So here’s the truth from our experience: you could still get a sunbed around the pool at around 10am, although obviously you might not get one right at the front. We never found it to be the huge issue I’d read about. If you really don’t want to rush at all, you can rent a cabana. We did this one day and it comes with butler service, towels and lunch brought directly to your cabana. It was €150 and, in my opinion, well worth it for a completely relaxing day. Staff The staff were all friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We had no issues whatsoever. Kids Club Firstly… WOW! I’ve never been to a hotel that offers so much for children for free. We had a 4-year-old and a 9-year-old, and there was something for both. Our 9-year-old went to the activities aimed at older children and absolutely loved them. These weren’t babyish activities either — there were things like darts, FIFA tournaments and football. There are loads of activities for younger children too, as well as their own mini restaurant, playground, soft play area and even a PlayStation room. Would I leave my child there completely unattended? I’m not sure, but that’s more down to my own child being a complete Velcro child who wouldn’t leave my side anyway! There were quite a lot of people entering and leaving the area, so I personally wasn’t sure how closely staff could keep track of every child. That said, this is just my personal observation and not something we actually experienced as a problem. Evening Entertainment This was probably one of the weaker areas for us. The evening entertainment was pretty mediocre compared with other comparable hotels we’ve stayed at along Lara Beach. There wasn’t really anything particularly special that I’d write home about. The daytime entertainment was okay. I think the sheer size of the hotel makes it incredibly difficult for the entertainment team to rally large groups together for activities. My husband played darts twice a day, though, and the member of staff who ran it was absolutely lovely, friendly and welcoming. Lifts One small downside, although definitely not a major issue, is that there’s one central set of lifts for the main hotel. There are around 5–6 lifts all together, but if you leave the pool at a busy time, you may have to wait a little while. Nothing excessive and, to be honest, nothing more than you’d expect in a large hotel — but it’s worth mentioning. Overall Overall, this hotel is fantastic for families. Yes, it’s a little more expensive than some other options, but I genuinely think you get what you pay for. There is so much included, particularly for families with children, and the quality of the food, pools, rooms and facilities is excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who asks. So, don’t be like me and read all the awful reviews and panic! 😂 You’re never going to please everyone, and every hotel will have people who find something to complain about. Hopefully this honest review helps someone who is currently debating whether to book. We had a fantastic holiday and would happily come back.
