Titanic Deluxe Lara

So I am going to be totally honest and fair with my review, as the hotel did try to rectify my mistakes by offering me a duplex suite upgrade from a family suite on the 4th day of our holiday, on the basis that I delete my previous bad review based on my experience! Arrival at the hotel was pleasant, fresh drinks on arrival, grand entrance, helpful porters with baggage and friendly reception greet at check in. I do feel they whizzed so fast through check in and overloaded us with information all at once that it was impossible to pay attention after a long flight with two kids! Buggy to the room- first thing we noticed was steps up to the family room which I found quite odd as you would think family rooms would have a ramp considering they would have buggies and small children! Also no lifts to the family rooms above either?! We checked into our room and were horrified that the rooms looked totally different to the pictures when we booked through the jet2, and considering this was a “2 bed family suite upgrade” we paid for, it was diabolical to put it nicely. You enter the room and that’s the first bedroom, no lounge area the kids bedrooms you enter through the main door which I can imagine could be slightly worrying for parents as they could easily unlock the door and walk out, it backed onto the hotel porter road right at the edge of the resort and you could hear everything at the miracle resort next door when their entertainment went on until 1am, I mean word for word, and there were full on raves each evening. You have a shared bathroom which was FILTHY, old, mouldy, dark and the room itself had a damp smell with cigarette smoke coming through the vents. At the back you have the parents bedroom with a balcony. These rooms are TINY, storage for suitcases are just not enough and there’s no dressing area anywhere to get ready. Rooms are not mopped everyday or in fact in the entire stay, if at all. I complained on the first night and they showed me 2 other family rooms for us to move to and they were exactly the same so I decline both. This left us feeling totally depressed from day one, having a dirty mouldy room on arrival is just not acceptable and this part of the hotel should be totally shut down until it’s fully renovated. We checked in on the Friday, had a miserable few days until Tuesday morning when we got a call to view an upgrade duplex room, which we took right away as it was in the main hotel so nearer to everything and thankfully, no noise. They did blackmail me to delete my old review though which is odd and surely not legal? I had this experience despite emailing multiple times asking for a quiet room but near to amenities due to my oldest son having autism. The fact this was totally ignored , in fact it felt like a joke that they gave us the room they gave us and completely ruined the mood of the holiday. Food is samey, nothing special, same thing each night but nice enough. The best part of this hotel I would say is the array of activities at the kids club, must admit this is phenomenal and they have lots of choice for kids to do whether it’s indoor soft play, outdoor play park, gaming, Lego, art, even wood work workshops and more. The kids snack canteen was fab too for kids until 6pm but I believe this is seasonal and will close in the winter. Overall, I definitely wouldn’t stay again.

Titanic Deluxe Lara – More of a 4-Star Than a 5-Star Experience We are currently staying at the Titanic Deluxe Lara, and unfortunately, our overall experience so far has been average. For a hotel marketed as five-star, we feel it falls short of the standard we would expect and is more in line with a four-star resort. Food and dining The food has been one of our biggest disappointments. The variety in the main restaurant is limited, particularly for children, to the point where our son has had to eat separately in the kids’ club rather than being catered for alongside us as a family. The food is also often lukewarm rather than properly hot, which really lets the dining experience down. The one standout has been the à la carte steak restaurant. The food was fabulous, and the service was excellent, with attentive staff throughout. At €47, it was worth the experience, but you shouldn’t have to pay an additional fee to enjoy food of the quality you would expect from a five-star all-inclusive hotel. Rooms and service The staff have generally been friendly, attentive and fairly quick with their service, which is a positive. However, the rooms themselves are fairly basic, with nothing particularly special about them. Storage is also lacking for two adults and a child, and on one evening we didn’t even have enough bath towels provided. Pools and entertainment The swimming pools are absolutely freezing, making it difficult for our son to spend any length of time in the water. This has a knock-on effect because, once he’s out of the pool, there isn’t enough for him to do to keep him entertained. We also feel the hotel is missing a strong entertainment team that actively interacts with guests, particularly children. At other resorts we’ve visited, this interaction has made a huge difference in creating memorable family holidays. Unfortunately, the entertainment here hasn’t met our expectations for a five-star hotel either. Even the much-hyped White Party, which we understood to be the hotel’s showcase event, was underwhelming. Overall verdict Having stayed at other resorts, including the Delphin next door, the difference in what is offered is night and day. We expected much more from Titanic Deluxe Lara, particularly when it comes to food quality, family-friendly facilities and entertainment. There are positives, especially the friendly staff and the excellent steak restaurant, but these alone haven’t been enough to make the overall experience feel five-star. We still have time remaining on our holiday, but based on our experience so far, we wouldn’t choose to return. It’s disappointing when a resort looks so promising, yet doesn’t quite deliver the experience you expect for the price and star rating.

We had a lovely stay at Titanic Deluxe Lara and would definitely recommend it for families. This is very much a family-focused hotel, so if you’re a couple looking for a quieter, more adults-oriented getaway, it may not be the right choice for you. However, if you’re travelling with children, it really does hit the spot! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well laid out, giving you plenty of room to relax. The buffet restaurant offers pretty much the same menu each evening, but there is enough variety and choice to ensure you can always find something you fancy without it becoming boring. The overall quality of the food was good, definitely above average, and we enjoyed it enough that we didn’t feel the need to try the speciality restaurants. One of the real highlights for us was the evening entertainment. The standard was excellent, and honestly, some of the best entertainment we’ve experienced at an all-inclusive hotel. It really added to the overall experience. Would we return? Absolutely! Perhaps not necessarily as a couple, but we would love to come back with the grandkids again, they had a marvellous time!
