I would like to give a huge thank you to Medeni, who is an absolute credit to your team. From the moment we arrived, he has consistently gone above and beyond in every aspect of his role. His attentiveness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality have made such a positive difference to our holiday. We're here with another family we met during our stay, and they shared exactly the same experience with Medeni, which really speaks volumes about the consistently outstanding service he provides. We never had to ask for anything, our drinks were always refilled before we even thought to ask, and he constantly made sure both we and the children had everything we needed. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his warm, friendly approach made us feel genuinely valued throughout our stay, we are so sad to be leaving this evening I wanted to leave this review because I truly hope Medeni receives the recognition he deserves. He goes the extra mile every single day for Trendy guests, and it's clear that he takes great pride in what he does. Thank you, Medeni, for making our trip even more enjoyable and memorable. You are a real asset to the team.
As regular travellers we have to say we enjoyed this one. Friendly staff, unlimited Efes & Becks available at the pool bar and international spirits. All areas very clean including the pools, a large choice of fresh food every day, pancakes, fruit and a range of eggs at breakfast. An additional snack bar open for lunch and Ice cream on tap! No the beach isn’t attached to the hotel grounds but it’s only a short boat ride (free) away which was very enjoyable and the boats run constantly until 8pm. Not a paradise beach (yes the sand is hot) but we went in the sea and then to the Lara bar before returning on a boat. Lots going on around the pool (shout out to Ali) and the pool party is insane! If you wish to go shopping take the number 7 bus from out side the hotel (80 pence) rather than a £15 taxi. All in all a great stay but I will say the shops and restaurants have become far more expensive than they were in previous years!
dark, tired room decor. feral teenage gangs running around the hotel each evening, kicking elevator doors, shouting and screaming, whilst parents shovel more (free) ale down them. sunbeds taken up at 08:00 but not occupied until 2 or 3 in the afternoon, with no interest from the hotel. return journey bus cancelled for 1 hour and hotel not informed, so we were stood about in the foyer.
Went for one week with my son , not quite long enough but the best holiday ever staff ever really good in every department . Hotel was superb and well maintained . Food and drink was fantastic lots of choices , slight criticism is the arcade which is probably privately run was extortionate and the guy running it seemed to be a bit of a con
We recently stayed at Trendy Lara, and overall our experience was mixed. The hotel has many positive aspects, but unfortunately there were also numerous issues that significantly affected our vacation. Because of that, I would rate this hotel 2 out of 5 stars. Our disappointment started immediately after check-in. The towels in our room had large holes in them, which is simply unacceptable for a five-star hotel. Even more disappointing was the fact that the reception staff never apologized or acknowledged the issue. Another major problem was the complete lack of information at check-in. Nobody explained where the restaurants, pools, snack bars, or other facilities were located. We only discovered on the third day that there was a separate snack area open during lunchtime on the opposite side of the resort. A simple welcome briefing would have made a huge difference. The bathroom also had serious issues. The water pressure in the shower was extremely weak, the handheld shower head leaked badly, and the ceiling rain shower did not work at all. Our room view was equally disappointing—we were looking directly at a gravel-covered roof, which felt more like a budget hostel than a luxury resort. The adults' water park was another frustration. Although children under 120 cm were officially not allowed to use the slides, the staff did not enforce this rule. As a result, there were many small children using the attractions, creating waiting times of 15–20 minutes for the main slides. The bars offered only a small menu of signature cocktails. It would be much more convenient if guests could see a complete cocktail menu instead of having to guess what the bartenders were able to prepare. We also wanted to play tennis during our stay. First, we spent about 40 minutes trying to find the tennis court. Once we found it, there were no rackets or balls available. We asked a staff member where we could get them, and his answer was simply, "I don't know." We then spent another hour searching for the equipment ourselves. Service quality was inconsistent. Some employees genuinely cared about guests and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Others seemed to avoid work and showed little interest in helping anyone. The pool area had another common problem. Although the pools officially opened at 8:00 a.m., almost all front-row sunbeds were already occupied by towels. Many of these sunbeds remained empty for hours because guests never returned, while other visitors had nowhere to sit. The beach was below expectations for a luxury resort. It was not particularly clean, facilities were limited, and only part of the walkway to the sea had been completed. Since the sand became extremely hot, walking barefoot to the beach was uncomfortable. The hotel's location is also quite isolated. When we arrived, the road nearby was under construction, and there were no shops, pharmacies, or other facilities within walking distance. If you need anything outside the resort, you have to take a taxi. Wi-Fi was one of the biggest disappointments. Although the hotel advertises coverage across almost the entire property, the connection was weak and unstable. Sometimes it was impossible to load even simple web pages. On top of that, I had to log back into the network around ten times every day. On our last afternoon, at 3:30 p.m., we wanted to play darts. We asked where we could do that, but were told it was only available the next morning at 10:00 a.m. Since it was our final day, it was difficult to understand why the staff could not simply provide a dartboard and darts for casual use. Food selection was enormous, and there was plenty available throughout the day. However, around one-third of the dishes were unfamiliar, with very little information about flavors or ingredients. It was difficult to know what to expect, so we mostly chose familiar options. Desserts were also quite repetitive. We tried several new dishes, but many of them simply did not suit our taste. In addition, some items, such as the salmon, did not always seem perfectly fresh. Another small but recurring inconvenience was the table setup during meals. Guests were provided with only half of a paper napkin, which was often insufficient. In addition, there were no toothpicks available on the tables. As a result, we constantly had to ask the staff for extra napkins or toothpicks after meals. While this may seem like a minor detail, these small inconveniences matter in a hotel that presents itself as a five-star resort and noticeably affect the overall dining experience. The TV in the room felt outdated. It was built into the wall, had no Smart TV functions, and there was no practical way to connect an HDMI cable. Every time it was turned on, the initial setup appeared again in Arabic, which quickly became frustrating. One morning we asked reception for a simple digestive tablet, but were told to take a taxi to a pharmacy. It was surprising that a five-star hotel did not even have a basic first-aid kit for guests. The public restrooms near the bars also had no air conditioning. After just a few minutes inside, they felt more like a sauna than a hotel restroom. Guests reach the beach using small shuttle boats. While they work, the boats already look worn, and the boarding piers appear dirty and poorly maintained. Since the hotel is not directly on the beachfront, evening walks along the sea are impossible. If you forget something in your room, returning from the beach takes quite a while. Despite all these negatives, the hotel also has many strengths. The resort grounds are huge, beautiful, and perfect for walking. The food selection is excellent overall, and most dishes are tasty. Alcoholic beverages are of good quality, and food and drinks are available almost around the clock. The entertainment program is another highlight, with foam parties, live music, and professional evening performances every night. We also appreciated the adults-only dining section, which provided a peaceful atmosphere away from children. A special thank you goes to Mevlüt, one of the waiters. He was exceptionally friendly, polite, attentive, and always willing to help. Employees like him truly make a positive difference and deserve recognition. **Overall, we did enjoy parts of our holiday and created many good memories. However, there were simply too many avoidable problems and too little support from the hotel staff when issues arose. Instead of fully relaxing, we often felt stressed and frustrated. For that reason, I would rate Trendy Lara 2 out of 5 stars.
