TUI BLUE Xanthe

The Welcome. We arrived here as a family of 4 (4 year old and 5 months) on Wednesday 10th June and from the start we have had an excellent experience. The staff at reception (Erhan) was super friendly and throughout our stay made an effort to speak with us when seeing us. Room. The Room is fine and although a little on the small side, has everything we needed including topped up free of charge mini fridge. The balcony is small and the walls do let the noise in but this came mainly from the hotel opposite. (Luna Blanca) . Cleaners are great and always happy with a smile on their face. They work hard so it goes a long way to give them a tip and they certainly appreciate it. Staff. Superb. Erhan, Casper, Cigdem and Muhammet. To name a have been great. Cigdem with the classes and Casper with the entertainment full of energy and get people involved whenever they can. Food. The food is good, breakfast is a bit Samey but it usually is the case from an all inclusive in Turkey. You won’t get a full English but nevertheless the food is really nice. Fresh bread baked everyday and they take lots care in their presentation. Lots of options in the day from the pool bar and beach bar aswell as the main restaurant at lunch times plus cakes etc from Thea’s coffee shop. We stayed at TUI blue tropical 2 years ago and we had to pay for speciality coffees such as caramel lattes etc but it’s all included here! Great touch. Evening meal. On our first day a number of staff welcomed us to dinner providing us with champagne and cocktails as well as introducing themselves. The buffet features lots of choice from classic Turkish foods to a more varied range of cuisine. Outside is the grill which is excellent from kofte to kebabs and even Arrancini last night. We are yet to try the restaurant yet but will do as here for another 10 days. Pools and Slides Awesome!! Slides for the little ones and bigger ones for the big kids. Lots of pools whether you want to chill or get in the mix. We haven’t had an issue yet regarding getting a sunbed and we get to the pool at about 11am. So far it’s been a great holiday and although I saw some negative reviews about noise and an accommodating mainly for Germans, us as an English family have had a great time so far. Really glad we booked here!

Excellent personal friendly service, really nice food, great for kids with safe pools and slides. Clean facilities and toilets. Rooms properly aircon and serviced. Entertainment and fitness staff are really helpful and supportive especially with my son with additional needs. Loved the yoga classes - really made me feel welcome

My name is Georgina and I this is my 4th stay at the TUi blue xanthe hotel it is the most stunning hotel in Turkey staff are amazing and polite and friendly and professional. Their hospitality and service is excellent and they always go above and beyond for the guests they really care about people who visit the hotel . I really enjoyed the yoga sessions they are so amazing with an amazing yoga teacher cigdem ozdemir she is so kind and friendly and always makes yoga classes very easy and fun it’s really good for beginners if you want to try out yoga or if you just have an interest in yoga but it’s definitely worth it also she dose aqua dance classes which she’s brings high quality fun energy and she is very fun and brings so much joy to the very thing she dose she is an amazing teacher and she does it so well in getting everyone involved and making everyone feel comfortable and happy and confident. She is so motivated and dedicated I would highly recommend her sessions she is the yoga teacher at the xanthe hotel in Turkey TUi blue . Georgina Robinson

The hotel itself was clean, but the kids’ clubs and pools could have been maintained to a much higher standard. Overall, hygiene standards appeared inconsistent. On several occasions, I observed kitchen staff wiping their hands on their uniforms and then continuing to prepare food. The most concerning incidents was seeing a staff member sneeze and immediately continue cooking without washing their hands on 2 occasions. The food was acceptable around 70% of the time, but there were evenings when the selection was quite limited. The children’s menu was particularly disappointing, with very little variety offered throughout our stay. In addition, tablecloths were not always clean. The hotel seems to cater primarily to German guests, and at times it felt as though they received priority service, particularly when waiting for drinks. Noise was also an issue. Depending on where your room is located, you’ll either hear a nearby construction site or loud evening entertainment that continues until around midnight. There was a constant feeling that guests were being encouraged to spend more money. Staff frequently promoted additional purchases, and the hotel even allowed an external tattoo parlour to operate on-site and approach guests. Although there are designated smoking and non-smoking areas, these rules are not consistently enforced. The entertainment team worked hard, especially Caspa and the girls running the kids’ club, and they deserve recognition for their efforts. However, the evening entertainment lacked variety and became repetitive. More importantly, there was no entertainment at all on Sundays because the entire entertainment team appeared to have the same day off. As paying guests, we would expect the advertised facilities and entertainment programme to be available every day, with staff days off being staggered throughout the week to avoid a complete shutdown of activities. Unfortunately, my child became ill after attending the kids’ club, as did at least one other child we spoke to, which raised further concerns about cleanliness and hygiene standards. Overall, we enjoyed the Side area and would happily return to the destination itself. However, based on this experience, we would not choose a TUI Blue resort again.

First up a great resort with good staff, plenty of pools, entertainment and great selections of food. Very close to the beech with a TUI on-site bar / food as well. Check in process was not the best as a family of 4 we were split up initially despite trying to request a family room before hand which then gave us quite a reasonable bill that limited then what we could do. Be wary of the onsite photography as they quote once price and will take a few photos for you to choose from and then the prices change A LOT. Old Side is worth a trip it is only a few minutes by taxi. Rooms very clean and tidy and restocked daily.
