We spent seven days at TUI Blue Xanthe as a group of four adults and three children, with a mix of British and Polish guests. Overall, it was one of the best family holidays we have had, and the hotel delivered a very enjoyable all-inclusive experience. The food was one of the biggest highlights. There was a huge variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main restaurant, with plenty of choice for both adults and children. We also tried the à la carte restaurant, Culinarian, which was a very pleasant experience. Outside the main restaurants, food was available throughout the day at the pool bar, including pizzas, chips, wraps and waffles. The coffee bar served excellent iced coffees, including a lovely Baileys iced coffee, as well as a good selection of cakes and biscuits. There was also a lovely lady making fresh flatbreads in a small hut near the pool bar, which was a great touch. The drinks were also much better than we have experienced in many other all-inclusive hotels. The cocktails felt more authentic and well made, rather than overly sweet or artificial. The service across the hotel was excellent. Staff in the restaurants, bars, entertainment team and around the pools were consistently polite, friendly and helpful. Many spoke English and German, and some also knew basic Polish, which made guests feel very welcome. The pools were another big positive. They never felt overcrowded, the water temperature was ideal for cooling down without being too cold, and we never had an issue finding sunbeds. On our first day we stayed by the Olympic pool, and after that we were always able to find a good spot before heading to breakfast. Sunbeds can be reserved one hour before the pools open at 9:00. We especially enjoyed the slides, which felt safe and offered a good range for different ages. There were also plenty of activities during the day, including yoga, pool games, aqua dance, darts and water polo. The beach was also very good, with its own bar, lots of shaded areas and even a playground for younger children. There is also a water sports centre on the beach offering activities such as paragliding and jet skis. The main area for improvement, and the reason I would not give the hotel a full five stars, is the evening entertainment. The children’s disco was the same every night, with the same songs aimed mostly at very young children, such as Baby Shark, Hokey Pokey and some German alternatives. My seven-year-old quickly became bored. It would be great to include more current, upbeat music that older children also enjoy, such as Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars or Shakira. The amphitheatre also felt underused. During our stay, there were only three shows. On the evenings without shows, games were held in the pool bar, but the space was not large enough for everyone who wanted to take part. We tried to join bingo and karaoke one evening but could not participate because there were no free tables. It would work much better to have a family show in the amphitheatre every evening, while keeping the pool bar for bingo, darts and similar activities. This would spread guests across two areas and give families more entertainment options. Overall, we loved our stay and would happily recommend TUI Blue Xanthe to families looking for a friendly, well-organised all-inclusive holiday with great food, lovely pools and excellent service. A big thank you to all the staff, who worked very hard to keep guests happy, entertained and well looked after throughout our stay.

A great family holiday overall. We had 14 days at the hotel (family of 4 - two children who are 13 and 7). We were also joined by our wider family for the second week, which meant in total we were a group of 12. All of us had a great holiday! The location and atmosphere were great. The rooms were where the hotel was let down a little. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels across the world , but I can’t see how this hotel can be 5 * rated with the rooms as they are. Very small basic rooms. Our 2 bed family room was much better but I visited the rooms of those in our group and they were incredibly small - especially those on the 4th floor. For us, the quality of the beds, furniture, air con and the very poorly designed bathroom shower (if you showered more than 2-3 mins the bathroom flooded) , meant that we felt like we were staying in less than a 5 star hotel - something for the hotel to consider. With that said , it was good value for money. Everywhere was clean and this was kept up with. My only suggestion is that there is regular cleaning around the pool to assist with empties , we kept on top of ours , but others less considerate and unable to clean after theirselves were leaving a mess until someone came round towards the end of the day. The staff and service : lifeguards are great , I didn’t get his name but the bald on on the first pool is great. I enjoyed my morning conversation with him, and he knew where the line was with safety and made sure the pool was kept safe at all times. The general bar and restaurant staff were great, along with the reception staff. However most struggle with understanding English which sometimes was a bit frustrating with orders being misunderstood or queries not being answered , but then again, it works both ways and I wasn’t able to communicate to them in Turkish either. Noise levels were fine , no issues with anything from that perspective. We didn’t have late checkout and used the showers provided - these were one of the best late checkout showers we have used to be honest. I would strongly suggest that the pool bar , beach bar and entertainment space has more fans etc as the heat took the enjoyment out of the evenings. 14 days of an all inclusive buffet can be tough , but the food was fantastic and made it easier. It would be good to have had one al a carte per week , to break it up. But you only get one free. A few names to shout out : Casper - larger than life and a joy to interact with. Samet - a genuinely really nice man. Great with the kids and always smiling - a great DJ too. Seref - lovely man too! If we were to return back to Turkey (although we don’t like to return to the same place) we would absolutely come back. Thankyou to the whole team for making it a great holiday.
