Kefaluka

We stayed at Kefaluka Hotel as a family for one week in July 2025. The phrase that best describes the property is “affordable luxury.” The food was enjoyable, and the water park offered a great experience for children. We also appreciated that the hotel is entirely non-smoking. The pools were large and well-maintained, and the evening entertainment for both children and adults was at a satisfactory level. However, guests who dislike windy environments may want to consider this before choosing the hotel. Additionally, having more—and larger—elevators would improve guest comfort. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the hotel staff who worked diligently to ensure a wonderful holiday experience, especially to Ms. İrem, the Guest Relations Manager, and her team.

Negative Review – Kefaluka Resort My experience at Kefaluka Resort was very disappointing. There was a serious lack of food options during the meals, and the menu did not change at all for seven days. The staff was often aggressive and unhelpful. Cleanliness was also a major issue—there was no shampoo provided during my entire 7-day stay, and the room was cleaned only once. The pool was also very dirty, which is unacceptable for a resort. Because the pool and other areas were not properly cleaned, my daughter got sick during our stay. Overall, it was a very negative experience, and I would not recommend this resort to anyone. I was extremely dissatisfied.

I was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews on the lead up to our hoilday, and did think about trying to cancel or change hotel but im glad i didnt. Transfer time from the airport was 1:15 going and 2 hours coming back, several drop off/pick ups. Roads are poor so it wasnt the most comfortable ride, if i was to go again in the summer months I would do a private transfer as the aircon was poor in the shuttle bus and would be really uncomfortable in the summer. Hotel rooms arent great, 3 star at best. Bed was comfortable, mini bar was stocked daily, room cleaned daily. Aircon was poor, if it was 26 deg plus during the day I think we would have started to struggle getting a good sleep. It would have ruined the holiday if during the summer months. The window also wouldnt lock, it was open a little at the top all the time, might have made a small difference with the room temperature but not much. The restaurant was good, plently of choice but a bit repetitive. Staff in the resturant were really good, especially with the kids. Hotel grounds and pool area were really nice, hotel always tidy and clean. The hotel wasnt that busy but the lifts would be a problem in the summer, lifts are small and not many of them, the hotel is over 7 floors so could be waiting a while when busy. There are 3 main pool areas, one is heated which was actually warm. Others were on the cold side but it was oct and 23/24 degs. Sea was warm and good access for snorkeling, loads of fish to see. Arcades were ok but lots of machines broken, some just swallowed our tokens. The views from the lobby bar and room were fantastic, some of the best sun sets ive ever seen. Overall we had a really lovely holiday. I would consider returning if the rooms got an overhaul and the aircon was improved, but dont think it would be in high season due to the lifts. Walking up 6 floors with young kids wouldnt be ideal. Dont be put off by some of the other reviews, but dont expect a 5 star experience like some of the big hotels at lara beach. Its more like a 4 star with 3 star rooms.

This was our 3rd visit here, 2nd this year. As always the place is beautiful and good value for what you pay. Even so late in the season all the staff still working so hard, as I always say, I’d mention them all by name if I could but I’d like to give a special mention to Hasan the waiter in the main restaurant. He looked after us so good everyday, breakfast and dinner. Very good at what he does. The only thing this time we found was that without Serkan the barman down on the island bar every night the island bar was empty and we love it down there of an evening, it just wasn’t the same without him. Also, I was meant to write in my last review as well but forgot, a little back ground music on the island bar of an evening would be lovely. As I said this was our 3rd time here and we are already looking forward to our 4th. Beautiful place, beautiful people. The staff really make it a pleasure to be there. We made the best of our holiday however we got garden view room ( this was not made clear at all by TUI ) which was at absolute best a 3* , the view was a brick wall with ivy on about 15 feet away from the balcony which made our room very dark and the room was extremely dated. The food and choice was good, drinks ok, beautiful scenery ( not from our room ) pool looked lovely but was far too cold even though it was in the late 20’s so not enjoyable. I definitely don’t consider this to be a 5* and unless the rooms got a good update wouldn’t go back.
