I’m not sure where to start with this review in all honesty. I could write and essay on how bad the hotel is I am so disappointed. When you spend your hard-earned money booking a 4 plus hotel, and look forward to it for months, all you want is to get what you paid for. Sadly, this is not the case with this hotel. There has been a lot of head scratching to try and work out how the hotel claims to be a 5 star ultra on its website, and Jet2 claim it to be a 4 plus. Neither is true, it’s a 3 star hotel. I’ll try and keep it short: - Room was tired, the shower leaked all over bathroom floor when used. Mould in places, cracked tiles, mini bar fridge not cooling drinks, air con not very efficient. - No entertainment provided for the evenings. - Hotel is nearly 20 years old and is in desperate need of renovation. - Restaurant food is repetitive, no themed nights. - Food is more often lukewarm than hot. - Children’s food section at the rear of the restaurant was not open. - Staff are mostly miserable and often rude. You are made to feel like you are an inconvenience to them. - Regularly had to clear our own tables in the restaurant and snack bar. - Water and wine are kept at the staff stations, but staff rarely ask if you would like either. We had to continually go to the stations to get glasses, cutlery, water and wine. Only on day 9 did we sit at a fully set table and be asked by a friendly member of staff if we would like water or wine. (thank you Rojhat!). - Too many chefs and management walking around appearing to do very little while there was clearly a shortage of waiting staff. - The entertainment area with a bar that extends into the sea looks like it is about to fall apart at any moment. Lots of rotten planks everywhere which move as you walk over them. - The snack bar was a better option than the restaurant, but even that was hit and miss. Food rarely came out together; we often had to find our own cutlery and on one occasion the drinks never arrived. Despite going and asking three times where they were. Staff members just shrugged their shoulders and made no effort to resolve the issue. - You sense there is an issue/disconnect between staff and management. None of the staff we spoke to said they wanted to go back next year. “too many customers, not enough staff” one said. - Only two of the four A la Carte restaurants were open. - The hotel allows smoking in the uncovered areas of the main restaurant and in the partly covered areas of the snack bar. We had to move tables several times due to guests lighting up as we were eating. I questioned guest services how guests can smoke 6 feet from where the waffles were being made, and the kebab station was. How it could possibly be hygienic, unfortunately it fell on deaf ears. The hotel allows it. - Hygiene concerns with regards to food preparation and serving. For example, an employee working at the ice cream station, would often be on his phone to pass the time, then would proceed to serve ice cream in cones without gloves or washing his hands. - The hotel started shutting down on the Monday, when it officially closed on the Sunday and had guests staying until then. Large numbers of sun beds were put away. Then the restaurant food selection was halved. Randomly they started putting plastic sheets over pictures. On our last day, we were sitting next to the beach volleyball area as we had done most of the holiday. At 11am they packed away the net. Which meant my children couldn’t play as they had done every day. It is totally unacceptable to start shutting the hotel down whilst guests are trying to enjoy the holiday they have paid for. The above led to the worst all-inclusive experience I have ever had. I am baffled how this hotel has managed to masquerade as a high-end hotel for so long given it fails on so many aspects of what an all-inclusive holiday entails. Save your money and the disappointment, book elsewhere.
I stayed at La Blanche in June last year. I’ve been coming to this hotel for a few years now (2022, 2023 and 2024,2025), and sadly this was the first time I left a bit disappointed. Something about the hotel felt different this time, especially the atmosphere and the entertainment team. In previous years the evenings were really lively — music, games, people dancing, the animators talking to guests and encouraging everyone to join in. It had a great energy. Last year it felt quite different. The team seemed tired and not very engaged, and many activities felt like they were happening just because they had to, not because anyone was enjoying them. There also seemed to be some tension inside the team, which you could actually feel as a guest. In the past the atmosphere was much lighter and friendlier. I noticed some smaller changes around the hotel as well. The gardens used to be beautifully maintained, but this time they didn’t look as cared for as before. In the restaurants it sometimes took quite a while to find a clean table, and the staff seemed very busy. It felt like there were fewer people working than in previous years. Many of the staff who had been there for years and helped create that friendly atmosphere were no longer around, and you could feel the difference. I also think the cocktail menu could use an update. The drinks feel quite basic and not really what you would expect in a five-star hotel. La Blanche used to be one of my favourite places because of its warm atmosphere and great energy. I normally visit twice a year, but last year I decided to skip my second stay because the experience just wasn’t the same. I’m planning to come back this year with a larger group, so I really hope the hotel will bring back the energy it used to have. One more thing — it might also be worth taking a look at some of the rooms that clearly need renovation, and the ant problem that many guests have mentioned in their reviews.
We returned to La Blanche Resort for the second time in May 2025, having first visited two years ago, and we were so pleased to see that the resort is just as lovely as we remembered — if not even better. As returning guests, we were upgraded to a larger room on arrival, which was a really thoughtful gesture and made us feel very welcome from the start. The staff were fantastic throughout our stay — always friendly, helpful, and genuinely warm. One of the highlights this time was the entertainment team, who did a brilliant job keeping the atmosphere lively and fun. From daily activities to evening shows, they brought great energy and made sure everyone was having a good time without being pushy — a perfect balance. We were also lucky to be there during the resort’s 20th anniversary celebration, which made our stay even more special. We were invited to a returners’ party, which was a lovely touch, and were even given small gifts as a thank-you. It was such a nice way to make returning guests like us feel appreciated. The kids had a great time, especially on the slides and in the pool, and there was always something for them to do. The food was very good throughout our stay, with lots of variety and tasty options in both the buffet and à la carte restaurants. Overall, this was another fantastic holiday at La Blanche. It’s a welcoming, well-run resort that’s perfect for families!
We have just booked this wonderful hotel for this year again. This will be our 12th visit, and each time it gets better & better. The location is superb with its own private beach, and just a short stroll into town where you will find shops, bars & restaurants. I don’t think in all the years we have visited the area we have not had a bad meal or drink. The bars in the hotel are well stocked, and provide some wonderful cocktails and mocktails for the children. The breakfast is superb, plenty of choice and the omelettes are superb. The food right across the hotel is fantastic, the snack bar has a great choice and you will not go hungry. There are plenty of sun loungers and the hotel is kept immaculate. You won’t find better staff anywhere. Honestly they will do anything for you, but I would like to thank Aybar who was working on customer relations, the lovely man who was running reception during the day (sorry I’ve lost your names) who sorted out an additional room for us when our daughter decided to join us. The staff on reception are brilliant, so any questions just go and ask. The was two brothers who used to work on the snack bar, I think one was called Barron, both were fantastic and really looked after us, as did all the staff. As with all of our stays at this fantastic hotel we must mention the wonderful Annie from guest relations, this lady is a credit to the hotel. Each morning we would walk past guest relations on the way to breakfast, Annie would give us a wonderful smile and stop us to chat, nothing is too much trouble for her. Honestly she is wonderful and makes all guests feel like a part of her family. We are counting down the days until we are back at this wonderful hotel and beautiful town of Turgertreiss ❤️
I (f50) stayed at La Blanche Resort with my daughter (27) at the beginning of October 2025. We were really looking forward to staying there because it looked fantastic and reviews for the last few years were mostly great. However our experience didn't reflect the reviews and definitely didn't live up to the 5* rating. All the reviews I've left over the years I've felt were honest and balanced, saying when things are bad, but equally saying if they are good. But I really struggled to find the good here and looked forward to going home. Our initial impression was good when we arrived as we were upgraded to a family room for free. However this room was very tired and in need of refurbishment. There were a few issues with the room which we reported to reception. The balcony door didn't lock, and the fridge didn't work, both of which they fixed within a few hours. However the shower drain leaked water all over the bathroom and wasn't fixed the whole holiday. So we had to use our towels to soak up the water after every shower. The room didn't have an iron or ironing board, which in every 5* I've stayed in has. But reception said they offer an ironing service which replaced the need for an iron. Cost to iron 1 dress 9€ 😱 Housekeeping was shockingly bad. The information leaflet said bedding would be changed 3 times a week, but ours wasn't changed at all. I know this because on the second night I must have scratched a spot and left a spot of blood on the sheet. Our housekeeper made the bed each day but moved the blood spot to a different position each day to make it look like it was gone. We had to brush the dirt from the floor off our feet before we got into our beds because the floors weren't cleaned. And we had to ask for more toilet roll every other day because it didn't get topped up. The fridge had a few soft drinks in which were topped up about 3 times over the week, but after I'd drank the tea and coffee sachets on the second day, this wasn't replenished for the rest of the week. We also had an issue with the housekeeper helping herself to my daughter perfume, which after a few times of happening we reported it to reception. We received a very rude note from the housekeeper rejecting the claims even though we had evidence. The standard of housekeeping remained very poor. We spoke with other holiday makers on our floor if they'd had any issues, and several experienced similar poor housekeeping, saying they too had reported to management, but nothing had improved. A positive was that my bed was comfortable but sadly the single bed my daughter had wasn't. There were plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas around the pool area and it was kept vey clean, but the pool was very cold and we only had one very short dip the whole week. There was a constant flow of staff and reps touting for business while we were trying to relax around the pool. (Boat trips, spa treatments, joining in games etc.) which became very anoying. Not what you want when you're trying to have a relaxing holiday. The main restaurant had the same things to eat every day, with very small changes. E.g. the pasta was different flavour each day but the flavours were quite strange. (Bbq, soy sauce, curry) We aren't fussy eaters and have travelled the world eating all different cuisines but, we really didn't enjoy the food here. We ate out most evenings to get some good food. The snack bar near the beach served better food even thought it was mostly something and chips, but at least it had flavour. Another issue we encountered in the restaurants and bars was that the male staff kept on harassing my daughter, asking her if she had a boyfriend, if they could have her Instagram or phone number, if she wanted to date them. Some wouldn't take no for an answer and started asking me for her information. Some of the waiters just hovered and stared at her. I understand that they aren't used to girls with ginger hair and pale skin, but it became very annoying and she felt quiet intimidated to the point she stopped going to get drinks from the bar. We decided to treat ourselves to a hamam which we found out was not great. Firstly they don't ask you for any information about health issues. Some spa treatments can aggravate or be very dangerous with some health conditions. We were shown to the sauna and left there. After about 10 minutes we were getting for too hot and came out and sat on the wall outside and waited for another 10 minutes for the girl to come back. Luckily I know not to stay in there for more that 10 minutes but a first timer, or someone with a heart condition may have stayed in there too long passed out. The actual hamam was ok ish, but the other times I've had one all the dead skin on my body was scrubbed away, but this one I had to shower again and scrub my skin. Then came the massage, both my daughter and myself have sciatica and other back issues so needed to let them know. But as they didn't speak much English this was almost impossible. Needless to say the massage was extremely painful and left us feeling worse than we went in. I had to ask her to stop several times, especially when she climbed onto the table and nealt on me. I wouldn't reccomend it. Save your money and have a spa day back home! It's probably cheaper too. There was a lot of activities and entertainment every day, and from what we saw and heard it was quite good, which is great if you like to join in those sort of things. We generally don't as we like to explore the local area and experience the local cultre. I feel very sad that this review is so negative, but it is how we experienced this hotel. We spoke with other people staying there, some were repeat visitors. Most had similar to our experiences, and the repeat visitors said it had gone down hill since they last stayed and wouldn't be returning. It's such a shame because I can see how good it once was and could still be. But it felt like everyone working there had given up and couldn't be bothered.

It's such a shame because I can see how good it once was and could still be. But it felt like everyone working there had given up and couldn't be bothered.
