I have just returned from a lovely week with my friend at the Alize hotel and all in all I would definitely come back here for the location, peace and quiet and decent buffet! Here's what I loved about it: Location was perfect - only a few minutes' walk to the main strip down to the beachfront where there are lots of great shops and places to eat and drink. But it was quiet enough at the hotel - they close their bar at 11pm so if anyone wants to drink later than that they can just walk down to the strip. Peace and quiet in general - apart from a little bit of occasional noise from a neighbouring hotel where they sometimes did karaoke (badly!) We travelled in term-time, but there will always be a few families bringing their kids away at the cheaper time. Thankfully there were not too many children. Generally the hotel seemed to attract older couples (I guess we are in that category now we are in our 50s!) and small groups of friends which was a nice vibe. The staff at the bar were friendly and worked tirelessly. I want to shout out to Fehrat who was there day in day out making sure we stayed hydrated! Also a gentleman called Erhan who always said hello and made us a drink out of hours a couple of times. We were all-inclusive and although we said we would eat out if we found the hotel food wasn't up to much, we were mostly happy with it so we only had one meal out on my friend's birthday. The freshly prepared omelettes at breakfast were our favourite. Lunch and dinner were not too samey and you could always find something to suit what you wanted. The evening barbecues were great, especially the lamb kofte. Also, at times the bar is closed there is a water dispenser to help yourself. In between main meal times the snack bar does some really nice fresh pizzas and serves ice cream cones in the afternoon so you needn't go hungry. Swimming pool was spotlessly clean, just the right temperature and no shortage of sun loungers. We used the spa and had a pleasant Hammam treatment and my friend got a massage. There is also a small gym although we didn't bother with that. We got our exercise walking around the shops, or a bit of swimming! In the week we stayed, we only went for the hotel entertainment once, which was the evening they had the Columbian acrobats and they had the wow factor so make sure you are back at the hotel for that! There are only a few "negative" things to say, but I like to give a balanced review: Wifi was very hit and miss, there are spots around the hotel where you can get some signal and other places where you just can't. But this was an issue around the resort not just this hotel. (It is a good idea to take some cash when going out for shopping or refreshments in case the card machines do not connect) We arrived at the hotel after midnight as our inbound flight was a late evening. Check in process was a bit slow, we had booked two rooms and he tried to give us a shared room at first, until we pointed out we had a room each. We had a private taxi from the airport which was good because if we had got on a coach with others from the same flight, we could have been queuing for ages. The bar closes at 11pm so we were told it was too late to have drinks (a lot of hotels give you a cold drink on arrival but this place didn't offer it) however luckily the bar manager was still around and he kindly made us a coffee. There were 2 complimentary bottles of water in the rooms but they don't replenish so keep the bottles and refill them at the water dispenser. The hotel is relatively small and is made up of a cluster of 3-storey buildings mostly overlooking the pool, plus the main building with reception/restaurants. Unfortunately we were given what turned out to be two of the worst rooms in the complex, despite the fact that the hotel did not seem to be at capacity (we travelled during term time.) There are a dozen or so rooms numbered 501 onwards, situated on the first floor in the main building above the restaurant, and they are in need of modernisation. The air conditioning was temperamental (trial and error was needed!) the decor a bit lacklustre and the bathrooms certainly need a glow up. On the first day, my friend had to be moved to a different room because her electricity was malfunctioning. She was given a much nicer room in one of the buildings overlooking the pool. I stayed put because I just want a room to shower and sleep. But towards the end of the week I realised that the sink/shower in the bathroom were prone to leaks. By that time I could not be bothered to ask to be moved as it would have involved packing and unpacking. But if I had noticed on the first day, I might have. If I stayed here again I would certainly request a better room. However, based on the positive aspects of my stay I would not mind staying here again!
We had never been to Turkey before and came to celebrate a friends 50th. From the very beginning we absolutely loved this hotel. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and check in was a breeze. I’d say within 10-15 mins we were done with the keys to our room. The room was very clean with the facilities expected. The pool area is stunning. The backdrop of the mountains and all the trees and pink/purple flowers make it very very pretty. Food was really tasty too. Plenty of choice at lunch and dinner. Rice, different veg, meats and plenty of tasty dips and sauces. Grand selection of puddings (cannot comment on breakfast as we didn’t have any) Bar is open until 11pm with different house spirits and local beer. Location was perfect. Literally 5 mins or less to the main strip and only a couple more to the beach. We were extremely saddened and disappointed that we had to return back to the UK. We will definitely be returning.
lovely quiet hotel just 2 mins from strip rooms very clean and modern ,fridge but no kettle , bar staff are great entertainment guy was fantastic such a lovely person food was fine lunch sometimes better than evenings but always had something we went to supermarket for tonic as turkish tonic is awful more like soda guys put in the fridge for us lovely pool area lots sun beds wifi in and out but managed we had room 207 but didn’t like location no view or sun to sit out that was only complaint would go again oh don’t do 3 island boat trip bloody awful if that is the best turkey can do they were like building sites
Average hotel, food mediocre and repetitive, entertainment not very good, all rooms have steps so difficult for disabled people, all inclusive drinks are limited, no rum or cocktails, have to pay for the safe, plus point beautiful views, rooms were clean, burger bar and staff are friendly, should be 3 star at most not 4 star, would not return to the alize
I have been coming to this hotel and area since I was a toddler, but this was the first time I had brought my boyfriend and was also his first experience of Turkey 🇹🇷 Firstly, the value, we paid around £800pp for 10 nights all inclusive and can guarantee we got our money’s worth. We had a top floor, corner room and loved the views overlooking the pool as well as the surrounding mountains and glimpses of the sea in the distance. Rooms were cleaned on a daily basis and had lots of storage for clothing, basic toiletries provided as well as a fridge to keep drinks cool. They also included a safe which we did not require. Food/Drink, WOW a huge difference compared to when I traveled last year in June. My boyfriend was skeptical about all inclusive food as it is something he is not used too, yet he was going back for multiple plates. Different themes for evening meals which often included a bbq preparing dishes in front of you.Breakfast was the only meal lacking choice however luckily for us we are not huge breakfast eaters, this could be improved. Snack bar also offers pizzas, burgers and chips as well as ice cream within certain hours. Hands down this major improvement is based upon Executive Chef Ramazan who was present at evening meals and open to suggestions/ opinions. However, please remember that you are travelling ABROAD, there isn’t always your basic British Grub however every meal did have chips/nuggets etc for those picky eaters. Lots of spirits to choose from at the bar with a variety of mixers. We ended up being suckers for a vodka icetea if you’d like any suggestions. Again improvement could be the offering of basic cocktails, such as pina colada etc as this was unavailable and sometimes drinks could be repetitive. The location of the Alize is SUPERB, as mentioned the wrap around views of Babadağ mountain is gorgeous and a 5 minute walk down the Oludeniz strip to the beach. The taxi rank is also next door which can take you to Hısaronu for around 300tl. I would recommend the Blue Lagoon and the Jeep Safari trip. Blue Lagoon entry was 150TLpp and was well worth it for a beautiful afternoon exploring fantastic blue waters. We took a couple bottles of water from the hotel as drinks within the “park” were expensive. Our Jeep Safari trip was £55 total for a full day excursion visiting waterfalls and canyons, definitely worth a try if you’re looking for something to do. The staff are very friendly and you might even catch Güvenç, one of the owners, who often floats around the hotel checking in on facilities as well as guests. We had some great interactions with barman Muhammet and the Lifeguard Taha. To conclude, if you’re looking for a holiday destination I would recommend the Alize Hotel and the area in a heartbeat. You can do as much or as little as you please. Oh and for that added bit of extra friendliness and respect, try speak a few Turkish phrases such as: Merhaba- Hello Lütfen- Please Teşekkür ederim- Thank you
