Grand Ideal Premium Hotel

We stayed in this hotel several times pre-pandemic but this was our first time back at this hotel since 2019. The hotel is ideally situated mid way along the main strip set back from the beach. Its takes 2 mins to walk to the beach which isn't really an inconvenience if you fancy a beach day. The downside of this is that it doesn't have its own beach and therefore you have to use sunbeds of other bars etc. They are free to use but you are expected to buy food / drink from them. The hotel itself is extremely clean and the pool room we stayed in was spacious with a double bed and wardrobe space on both sides of the bed which provides plenty of space for all those holiday clothes. They even have clothes hangers which was extremely useful for the wife to hang up her dresses. The shower was OK but the water had a tendency to go hot and cold randomly which is not a major inconvenience as you did have some warning it was about to do this, so not going to cause any issues. Our room was just outside of the lift and gave some concern we would be disturbed by noisy guests. This wasnt the case and you could hardly hear any noise in the room. The lifts in the hotel are a real pain. You can only fit 4 adults at a time in the main lifts and 2 in the smaller one. It can take a little time if there are people waiting and a lot of people abandoned waiting and took the stairs. There were also breakdowns of the lift at the reception end. The pool area is very nice and plenty of sunbeds are available although we went in mid June so can't get a feel of what its like in the school holidays. Pool looked clean and well maintained. There is a pool bar which opens at 10am and closes at midnight. Also in the pool area there is a shop (v good prices), a hairdressers, little boutique shop, the snack bar and soft drinks area and the main stage area where the daily and nighttime entertainment takes place. Its a really nice compact area where you haven't got to move very far to do anything. Top tip, buy the plastic beakers from the shop for 100l. The pool bar gives small paper cups and they dont hold much of anything. The daily entertainment and games are ok/good but there are no pool games at this hotel. These have been stopped apparently for safety reasons. So no water polo (we organised our own with a couple of sunbeds as goals), surf board games or water obstacle course which was a disappointment as when I googled this, it says they do. I should have checked this on the Facebook site. The entertainment staff work very hard and are very friendly, Iso and Diago stand out for me. Daily games are Darts (21), Table tennis, killer pool every day, with bean bags, Archery, beer pong (without drinking !)on alternate days. Nighttime entertainment is standard as in most of the other hotels in Marmaris. Starts at 8.30 with the usual kids event. Bingo at 9pm and at 9.30pm there are some good acts brought in and really couldn't fault this. The retro night particularly stood out which we haven't seen in any hotel before, good night had by all. Food we found to be really good. It is probably the first time in marmaris that we haven't felt the need to go out and eat due to average or bad food. If you cant find something good to eat, in my opinion you will never find anywhere. This goes for the snack bar at lunchtime as well. There are two other bars in the hotel. The lounge bar opens around 8pm to 11pm and the blackout lounge directly next to it that opens to 1am. This used to be a nightclub but not sure why they stopped it. All in all this hotel is very good value for money, all staff work very hard and are all helpful and friendly. Food is v good. Entertainment is ok to good. Alcoholic drinks are average. Pool area good, also has good shade under the cover to escape the sun. A hotel is what you make it, we met some really good friends and had a good time. Would we return, maybe.

My friend and I have had an amazing experience at the hotel. The food is 10/10. Everyone working here is so lovely and always ready to help out. The location is lovely, there is so much to do here. Entertainment is for all ages so children to adults- everyone has something to keep them entertained. The hotel rooms are beautiful. They are spaced out and room service is excellent.

Great hotel, first time in Marmaris and definetly coming back. The entertainment team is 10 out of 10, all day their working so hard to entertain us. Thank you ❤️

come expecting 5 stars, but for the price i payed i was not suprised when it was not five stars. the decor and the layout inside is abit weird. its not a big place. the food and drink is very disappointing. the cups are paper and tiny. if you love shops you are in the centre of everything. right near the beach but the beach isn’t a quiet beach. the view from our room was gorgeous. entertainment was alright i loved the kenyan acrobatics. with my partner being a picky eater , he struggled to find anything to eat especially when there was boiled chicken on offer . the rooms was okay , cleaned everyday by the cleaners who was lovely when we spoke to them and always restocked the fridge . the spa guy would hassle you a lot asking to go to the spa etc. no issues with reception , check in was smooth and the bar on the inside has iced coffee which is a plus. the drink was very weak in alcohol content and not much variety. the staff are very friendly.overall its a decent location but a okay hotel. i’d compare this to some of the 3 star hotels i’ve been to.

Great hotel. Good location. Clean, good nice. Entertainment staff were fab!
