Greenland

We stayed at Hotel Greenland as a family of five, with our children aged 4, 10 and 12, and overall we had a lovely holiday. The hotel itself is really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, although the rooms are a little outdated. This didn’t really bother us though, as we were hardly ever in the room! The food was probably the biggest mixed point for us. I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the food, although my husband really enjoyed it. I do think there could have been more choice for children, especially as it’s a family hotel. We also weren’t particularly impressed with the entertainment. There were things on, but we didn’t find it very good and the children's entertainment in the evening was very very repetitive. One thing to be aware of is the hill between the larger pool and the top pool. It is **very steep**, and even I struggled walking up it, so I wouldn’t say the hotel would be particularly suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties or disabilities. The location was another downside for us. I personally like being able to walk out of a hotel and have shops or places nearby, but there really isn’t much around the hotel. You can easily get taxis though. We went to Fethiye Market, which was around 10 minutes away and cost us approximately 500 Turkish Lira in a taxi. We also visited the Blue Lagoon Beach, which was roughly the same distance and cost. As our flight home was at 10:55pm, we paid £30 to keep our room until 6:30pm on the day of departure, which was really useful and definitely worth considering if you have a late flight. **One little warning:** you only get **one room key card** when you arrive, and if you lose it, there is a £5 charge. Overall, we enjoyed our family holiday at Hotel Greenland. It’s not perfect and there are definitely a few areas that could be improved, particularly the food choice for children, entertainment and accessibility, but the friendly staff, spacious rooms and lovely hotel facilities made it a good holiday for our family.

Just back from an amazing week at the Greeland hotel. The staff were all amazing. Lots of stuff for the kids, water polo, the slide was great. The 4pm ice creams were yummy. The pancake ladies were great. The food was really good. Various options and lots of variety. The drinks could have been better. Basic cocktails, if you want a strawberry daqari you have to pay. That said vodka and beer os decent. Town is a 10 min cab and only about £6. Highly recommend a boat trip. The shuttle to the beach is also good. Clean towels daily from reception for the pool. Some great entertainment at night. The African singers were amazing and we all got up dancing. So the bad points.... the rooms are small and very dated. An upgrade is desperately needed. The gym is very basic, could do with some mats, more equipment and needs a good referb. No water aerobics during the day. Very hilly so if you struggle with mobility could be an issue but me and the family had no issues. Hairdryers in some rooms are the old school hotel ones, slow and warm. Cocktails could be better. The hotel shop is a tad pricey. The petrol garage is reasonable. All in all we had a great week. Staff were so lovely and always so helpful. Just needs a good referb and update

Definitely not 4 star… reviews definitely do not match the hotel. Double rooms in desperate need of upgrading. Main pool is just not inviting. Thankfully quiet pool is more relaxing . Restaurant was like a school canteen. Constantly lining up for food and food was very hit or miss (normal for all inclusive) weather was lovely so that’s a positive. Entertainment again hit or miss. The place does have a calming atmosphere but very run down for a 4 star in Turkey. Glad we only stayed 6 nights. Not sure what the people who come time and time again see. Sadly it’s a no return from us. The place just doesn’t live up to the reviews😞

This is a great hotel for families, not ideal if you have mobility issues as there are steps down to the pool and restaurant and it's on a steep hill. Rooms are small, but have everything you need. Food was always varied, fresh and very good. Sunbeds a bit of a nightmare as people would put towels down early, even if they weren't there until the afternoon! Both pools very clean, music at the lower one, quiet at the top one ( no real shade at the top one) Entertainment on most nights, a bit hit and miss, but generally ok! Hotel is not near any shops, so you need a taxi to go to the local markets etc. ( cheap, and not too far) On the whole a very good hotel for the price ( 6 weeks hols) would definitely recommend!

Brilliant stay at Hotel Greenland. Beautiful location and the grounds were stunning. The room was dated and a bit rough round the edges, our balcony just looked out at a wall which was disappointing, I think if we were to go again I would upgrade on the room. Value for money was excellent especially in the summer holidays! General cleanliness was good, restaurant and poolside always clean. Mainly stayed around the quiet pool which had much nicer sunbeds and a better atmosphere for us. In such a quiet area, and easy accessibility into Oludeniz or Fethiye via Dolmus or Taxi for affordable prices. Service was fantastic, always considerate and kind, the food was delicious never had a disappointing meal. Would love to visit again, if the rooms get updated I think!! Also, book paragliding it’s the best experience ever!!
