This May half term marked our ninth visit to Hillside Beach Club – and we’re glad we returned. After our last stay a few years ago, we debated trying somewhere new, but the improvements made since then have reaffirmed our love for this resort. Notable Improvements • Room Refurbishment: The previously tired and rustic interiors have been updated with a look of simple sophistication. Gone are the bead curtains at the bathroom doorway – replaced by elegant wooden doors that are both stylish and practical. • Food Quality: The culinary offering has noticeably improved. A particular highlight was the fresh prawns, a welcome upgrade from the mushy ones we encountered in earlier years. Every meal felt fresher and better curated. The two served restaurants Pasha and Beach bar were notably improved. • Sunbed Availability: The new rule that removes towels after 2 hours of inactivity is a game changer. It means more sunbeds are available throughout the day – a small change with a big impact. • Yoga & Pilates Timing: Moving these classes from the early morning to mid-morning was a smart move, especially for UK guests who’d rather not rise at dawn on holiday. This simple scheduling change made it easier to enjoy wellness activities without sacrificing rest. Things to Keep in Mind • Pricing: Hillside remains on the expensive side, especially for drinks. Even with our 30% discount, beverages felt overpriced. • Wish List: I’d love to see reformer Pilates classes added in the future. It would elevate the wellness offering and provide more variety for fitness-minded guests. • The House Wine has taken a dive and has been replaced to a restrictive low quality brand which is really isn’t good, so you will need to add wine at mealtimes to the costs also. Final Thoughts Despite the cost, the stunning scenery, thoughtful upgrades, and overall atmosphere make Hillside Beach Club a place we’ll continue to return to. It’s reassuring to see a resort not resting on its reputation but striving to improve
Back at Hillside for a week in October and again the resort did not disappoint. The attention to detail of the entire team was as before exceptional from Dogan and his team in main restaurant to our house keeper they were so attentive. The animation team really make the evenings come alive and are so present throughout the day. The choice In the main restaurant is vast and although not Michelin star quality it is certainly more than value for money. For me what brought us back to Hillside was still there the atmosphere and warmth created by the team and the location are right up there with some of the best resorts I have visited.
we loved hillside but it has not adapted with the times except for its pricing the food is good the location is fabulous but it no longer value for money the gym disappoint s and the booking for restaurants is tiresome and haphazard .........and the menus remain the same year in year out beware with room allocation as sometimes the rooms are just awfulwith lots of noise pollution from the nightclub or the kids club the staff are great but their failure to innovate means that there are far better all inclusive to stay with .and we will go there instead
1. Awful room configuration. Unable to put 5 year old in kids bedroom, as couldn't hear him at night unless bedroom doors remained open, which would mean no air con. So husband had to sleep in kid's bedroom 2 No air con in bathroom 3 Very limited free coffee and water in room. Rest had to be paid for. Had to pay for milk. Unacceptable in 5 star resort. 4 Loud music almost every night until midnight. Impossible to sleep before then. Unacceptable in a family resort 5 Reserving sun beds from 7am. None left by 9.30. I thought this was a scourge of mass market hotels, not one that positions itself at the higher end 6 Absolute scrum in the buffet, with no help offered by staff to try and find a table. 7 Without doubt hotel staff favoured the Turkish guests All in all a very disappointing experience and will not be returning
Top quality resort. The setting is incredible: a private bay with clear sea and in August an amazing temperature. It felt tropical! The secluded private location felt special and the views from all parts of the resort were incredible. Food was top class, good variety at the buffet and huge quantities. The Mediterranean restaurant was absolutely delicious. Great kids club, the Artside workshop is a brilliant addition for kids (small additional cost) and there are so many daily activities. Some nice extra touches like mid afternoon snacks and then hot dogs pre dinner! It is hard not to over-eat here! A really brilliant place and a we are excited to return. The one negative is that water is only complementary in the rooms on the day of arrival. Not in keeping with a high end resort.
