Hotel Aqua

Quite disappointed considering the glorious reviews. We weren’t issued with towel cards upon arrival. When I want to rectify this I was quizzed, not a great first impression from the reception team. Unfortunately on other visits it did not improve, when speaking to someone it’s customary to look at them not grunt and play with paperwork showing only the top of the head. I wasn’t the only one to remark on this behaviour. The cleanliness of our room fell short upon arrival but was rectified the following day. The fridge refills were hit and miss. Towels weren’t replaced yet taken for laundry on occasion. Just the little things that aren’t quite 5 star really. The breakfast was about the most enjoyable with regards the food but even then the fruit choices were limited and poor in our opinion again for 5 star. The lunch and dinner service didn’t really hit the standard we were expecting unfortunately. The snack bar had no Pide at all shock horror in Turkey, and no fish on one day we attended but what we did try was good and beat lunch offerings. Pool area was well attended to the point that one particular pool attendant would place towels on beds to reserve them for customers, I believe it’s customary to tip the colleague concerned or be stuck with limited available beds in certain areas. Drinks were as expected and enjoyable, although the service fell short at times and felt ignored when service required. We were also very surprised at the custom of cleaners knocking on the door the morning of our last day? We assumed for a tip? The tip we had left on the bed was removed by myself after this not really acceptable for this star rating accommodation. Overall it wasn’t quite up-to the hype. Just needs some work in some areas and maybe a fresh pair of eyes from someone who has 5 star accommodation management experience.

After a bad experience on our first 4 days of a 14 day holiday we transferred from marmaris to icmeler best thing we ever done the Jacob staff took us under there wing nothing was a bother for them excellent service, my partner got his hair cut off Ali 10/10 I got nail extensions put on the time and effort the beautician put into them was perfection and the tattooists are amazing can’t wait to go back thank you so much Mehmet, Ali, Mustafa and the girls

Absolutely lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Room minibar replenished daily with soft drinks and snacks. Large bottles of water provided in room daily . Security and lifeguards on duty all of the time Entertainment provided each evening Rooms quite basic with no seating area other than very small balcony Towels provided for pool and beach via a towel card that is exchanged Now to the food , there is a pool snack bar with fast food items . A bbq area which we never got to sample. There is a cake counter and ice cream section. In the main dining area , you have hot food , salad bar , bread buffet and many cakes . The hot food was mainly casserole style ,with unusual accompaniments , it became very samey , with little difference each night . Overall we really enjoyed our stay but with the food options I don't know if we would .

This was our fourth time in Turkey , our first time at Aqua and it was the best holiday yet. The Aqua is amazing. I always like to write completely honest reviews based on my experience of extensive travelling, holidays and hotels and this will be the same. Best bits - - Check in , smooth, quick and professional. Always on hand for questions - Hotel is immaculate and cleaning staff work tirelessly to keep it that way - Staff are amazing , best we have encountered anywhere. They are professional, friendly, hard working, the waiters get to know what drinks you like and no one is left waiting for service, in fact before you have finished your drink they are there to see if you would like another. Same in dining room , replenish your water etc , clear plates within seconds and always polite and friendly. Food - We always found something we liked , it’s AI so it’s expected you get the usual items on a daily basis, breakfast cereals, eggs , omelets etc, salads , breads, accompaniments, but meats and fish changed daily. Particularly liked the chicken and turkey dishes . Salmon was amazing and lamb superb. The baklava was always superb. What more do you need? The patisserie - inside in the afternoon was fab , too many lovely things to eat with a nice coffee and I overindulged. Outdoor food - was good, burgers, pizza, chips, the ice cream and waffles were out of this world. Pool - lovely and George the lifeguard is such fun. Always able to get beds . Entertainment - was good ,usual mix of music, acrobatics, specialty’s like Michael Jackson tribute, Il Divo, It was cool outside at night and staff brought us blankets and lit patio heaters so all good. Beauty salon - Mustafa is hilarious, he comes around everyday re the salon and tattoo parlour. Persuaded my sister and I ( early 60s) to have our eyebrows micro bladed . Never thought of it before and we don’t regret it, it looks fab. We laughed at the number of people who had this done as well, so good sales pitch by Mustafa. Husbands had Turkish shaves and liked results. Anyone who used the facilities were happy with results. Location - is brilliant, just walk out to the shops , to get the local bus to Marmaris ( well worth it £1.50 return , loads of buses daily ) Metres from the boat taxi to Marmaris if you prefer that and all sea activity stalls. Try the local 3 wheeler scooters, we had a really fun time hiring 2 of those and they charged £15 per scooter for all day use. Just a few niggles , I can’t really call cons. The desserts in the main dining room were lovely but i noticed the afternoon patisserie counter had more choice tbh . Sometimes if having a later meal the choice was limited and not replenished. Maybe to save wastage as I’m sure they have tons of that with the amount some people pile on their plates and then leave. One guest hung a football flag from their balcony and I think the hotel should have a policy of not allowing that as its looks cheap and we were not at a budget hotel in Benidorm. Entertainment staff were fun and not pushy about joining in activities, however in the evening I think they needed to take to the dance floor if no one was up as that entices the guests to join in. They tended mostly to stand on the periphery until the guests got up. Big con for me was the bingo nights. It’s £10 per ticket , it’s boring and we weren’t actually sure what the prize was. We bought tickets the first time and then realised the regular guests or people who had played once before didn’t buy them again and it became apparent why. Perhaps if they promoted prizes better and gave decent prizes it would entice more to buy and join in. Overall we had the best time, we loved Aqua Hotel and we are booking already for next May and September. Would be going back this year but we will be in LA in September and Sri Lanka in January so can’t fit it in till later next year.

Brilliant hotel from start to finish! The staff can’t do enough for you and always go above and beyond. The hotel is spotless and very well maintained throughout. There’s so much choice when it comes to food and snacks — including a snack bar, ice cream bar and waffle bar (the waffles are absolutely to die for!). The cocktails are delicious and definitely not watered down, and during the day my go-to drink was the Baileys iced coffee. The bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. There’s also plenty of facilities on site including a spa, tattoo shop, hairdresser, jewellery shop and a handy little convenience store. The indoor and outdoor pools are both lovely too. There’s entertainment day and night so there’s always something going on. We had an amazing time and already can’t wait to go back in October!
