Liberty Hotels Lykia Family

This was our fifth consecutive year staying at Liberty Lykia, and writing this review is honestly difficult because this hotel has always held a very special place in our hearts. We have kept coming back year after year for many reasons: the breathtaking nature, the crystal-clear sea, the beautiful beach with its sun canopies, the delicious food, and, above all, the genuinely kind and welcoming staff. It has always felt like coming home. Unfortunately, this year we felt that the hotel's concept and attention to guests have started to change. In previous years, the reception team would always call or message me as soon as our room was ready. This year, nobody contacted us at all. Even more disappointing was the room we received (Olympos building, room 257). We had booked a standard room without a sea view, which was absolutely fine, but instead we were given a room facing a concrete wall. There wasn't even a garden view. It honestly felt like we had been given the worst room in the hotel. I was so disappointed that I spent almost the entire next day trying to arrange a room change. The whole process was confusing. In the morning I received one piece of information from reception and went to the beach thinking everything was under control. Later, when I checked my phone again, I discovered several missed calls because we were suddenly expected to pack all our belongings immediately so our room could be prepared for new guests. At the same time, nobody was able to show us the new room before asking us to move. In the end, I had to ask someone to at least show me the balcony from the outside so I could see what the view would be. Yes, I appreciate that our room was eventually changed, but we always mention that we are returning guests. Is this really how guests who have chosen your hotel for five consecutive years should be welcomed? It honestly felt very disappointing. Another thing we noticed was that the small arrival touches had disappeared. In previous years, we were welcomed with a fruit plate and a bottle of red wine. After four years of returning, those little gestures become part of what makes you feel appreciated. This year there was nothing. The beach was another disappointment. The traditional large sun canopies have been replaced by umbrellas, and this has completely changed the beach experience. Under umbrellas you constantly have to move your sunbeds to stay in the shade because the sun becomes intense very early in the morning. The new canopies are installed only in certain areas, and because the sunbeds are placed so close together, it is difficult to understand how they are supposed to work comfortably. In previous years, unattended towels were removed after a couple of hours, so people couldn't reserve sunbeds all day. This year towels remained on empty sunbeds from morning until evening while nobody was actually using them, making it much harder for other guests to find a place. Even the beach coffee has changed. There used to be an excellent coffee machine right on the beach, and grabbing a coffee while enjoying the sea became one of our favorite daily rituals. This year the coffee from that machine was simply undrinkable. The only alternative was walking to the bar and waiting in long queues. A simple relaxing coffee on the beach has turned into an unnecessary chore. What makes all of this even harder to accept is that the price of staying at Liberty Lykia continues to increase every year. I completely understand inflation and rising operating costs—I work in the tourism industry myself. For years we happily overlooked the aging rooms because everything outside the room was exceptional. This year, however, several small disappointments added up, and together they created a feeling that something important has changed. The one thing that remains absolutely wonderful is the people. Yusuf, Yagmur, Seher, and so many other restaurant employees still remember us every year and always make us feel genuinely welcome. The amazing beach staff who work tirelessly every day removing stones so guests don't hurt their feet deserve enormous respect and gratitude. The cleaning ladies making up rooms, toilets in the territory did their best in such a heat. These people are the true heart of Liberty Lykia. They are the reason we still feel emotionally attached to this place. Sadly, for the first time in five years, I find myself questioning the hotel's management and the direction in which the property is heading. It is genuinely heartbreaking to watch your favorite hotel slowly move away from the qualities that made it so special. I truly hope the management listens to loyal returning guests because Liberty Lykia is an incredible place, and I sincerely want it to remain one of the best resorts in Turkey for many years to come.

Liberty Lykia - a hotel with the most stunning nature around I've ever seen

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Absolutely Amazing Holiday! We are having the most fantastic stay at Liberty Lykia Hotel in Turkey. Everything has been absolutely perfect from start to finish. The food is outstanding – easily 10 out of 10. There is such a huge variety, and every meal has been delicious. The rooms are spotless and kept immaculately clean every day. This hotel is perfect for families. There is so much for children to do, with endless activities to keep them entertained all day. The swimming pools are fantastic, the beach is beautiful, and the whole resort is stunning. What really makes this place special is the staff. Every member of the team is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. A special mention goes to the animation team, especially Sean, who has been absolutely brilliant. He's friendly, energetic, and has made our holiday even more enjoyable. Overall, I can't fault this hotel at all. Everything is 10 out of 10, and I would highly recommend Liberty Lykia to anyone looking for an unforgettable holiday. We will definitely be coming back!

A 3rd visit to Lykia, the last being 4 years ago. We can see the improvements from our last visit. Modern rooms, the new splash area, coffee house, pattiserie. We shared our experience with some great people. Our cleaner in Olympus block, she was so kind polite and pleasant. Always had a smile on her face. Left us some towel art too which our son loved. Muhamett in the Gaia restaurant, which was a beautiful setting, great food and he engaged with my son whilst serving others. He was an absolute credit My happy, Jakob and Amy from entertainment were great as well, always taking time to stop and talk to us. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, kept immaculate by the hard working staff. The views of the mountains and sea are something ive never experienced before. The pools are spread across the resort, with no sunbed wars as so plenty of space. I absolutely love this

A fantastic holiday and brilliant hotel. Amazing facilities and food. The football club there and the coach Beyaz are amazing. He put on a fabulous tournament for the children. We would highly recommend this for families.
