Loryma Resort

Great hotel set up in the mountains approx 25 min drive from main Marmaris strip/ nightlife/ shopping. Approx 10 Min drive to Turunc, much smaller but still vibrant town with lots of great places to eat. Would suggest hiring a car if staying at the hotel although they do lay on mini buses to marmaris they stop quite early and taxes are not particularly cheap. Hotel itself is great. No getting up at 7am to put your towels around the pool. Every where is very quiet. Loads of seating, great views, great food and staff bend over backwards to help in anyway they can. Accommodation is perfectly fine. Apartment have all you need. For nightlife you do red to venture out to Turunc or Marmaris though so factor that into your costs. Trip wise we hired jet skis from icmelar beach, day boat trip to turtle island and mud baths, a Turkish bath experience and also a days intro to scuba diving. Would recommend all of them

We originally booked Loryma Resort for 7 nights, but quite simply we weren’t ready to leave! We ended up extending our stay to 11 nights, which probably says everything about how much we enjoyed our time here. The setting is absolutely beautiful. The views across Turunç Bay and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking, and there’s a wonderfully peaceful, relaxed atmosphere throughout the resort. It feels a world away from the big, busy package holiday hotels, while still having plenty to keep the whole family occupied. What really made our stay, though, were the people. Every member of staff we encountered was incredibly friendly, patient and helpful. A special mention has to go to Fatma and İlknur on reception, who were always smiling and couldn’t have been more helpful throughout our stay. We also have to give a huge thank you to Eren, the sports instructor. He was absolutely brilliant with our children. We did kayaking, climbing and football with him, and there were plenty of other activities available too. He was enthusiastic, patient and genuinely great fun with the kids – they absolutely loved him. Another absolute highlight was the boat trip with Emiliano, which we booked through reception. There were only 10 guests on the boat, which made for such a comfortable and relaxing day. We saw other boat trips advertised down in Turunç for a little less money, but some of those take up to 30 people and, having experienced Emiliano’s trip, we were very glad we chose this one. There was plenty of room to relax, beautiful stops along the way and a fantastic BBQ lunch. It was easily one of our favourite days of the holiday and we’d thoroughly recommend booking it. Breakfast was another highlight. The freshly cooked omelettes every morning were lovely, along with a really good selection of fresh food to start the day. Both pools were great in different ways. The outdoor pool was brilliant fun for the whole family, while the indoor pool was perfect when we wanted to escape the heat and cool off for a while. Although Loryma sits above Turunç, getting into the village is very easy. Taxis arrive quickly and are reasonably priced. We also hired a little tuk-tuk for a few days, which was great fun and gave us the freedom to come and go whenever we wanted… although it did struggle a little with that final climb back up the hill! 😂 And the hill is worth mentioning because it’s precisely why the views from Loryma are so spectacular. Sitting up above the bay, particularly towards the end of the day, is just beautiful. Perhaps the nicest surprise of the whole holiday was the atmosphere and the people we met. We met so many lovely people and like-minded families during our stay, and there was a genuinely friendly, relaxed feel around the resort. The children made friends, we made friends, and it became one of those holidays where you very quickly settle into a rhythm and feel completely at home. There is something about Loryma that is difficult to capture in a review. It has a lovely calmness to it. You can spend the day relaxing by the pool looking out over the Aegean, head out on the water, join in with the activities, wander into Turunç or simply do very little at all. The service, the views, the atmosphere and, above all, the people were genuinely five-star for us. We arrived expecting a seven-night holiday and eventually had to drag ourselves away after 11 nights! A truly special holiday at a truly special resort. We would return in a heartbeat – and we definitely plan to. Thank you to everyone at Loryma for some wonderful memories. ❤️

Just returned from 10 nights here. WOW !!!! 🤩 What an absolute gem of a place ! We can honestly not fault this hotel. We had a wonderful stay from.start to finish The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and hardworking !!! 👏 👏 👏 Always happy to help with anything we needed. The hotel was spotless throughout with everything kept clean and tidy. Maids visited the rooms alternate days. We stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom suite which was perfect for our family. Both bedrooms had fantastic air-conditioning and a ceiling fan in the main lounge. We asked for a Standing fan in the lounge too which was brought to us the same day. Fantastic ! The views from the balcony was breath taking ! WOW ! Don't let the distance to the beach put you off. A free shuttle bus from the hotel runs between the hours of 10am & 5pm making it really easy to get back and forth. In the evenings taxis were readily available for just 300 Lira to Turunc We spent many days at the beautiful Turunc Beach. 'CAN' restaurant on the front was our favourite ! We also visited Amos and Kumlubuk beaches which were absolutely spectacular ! The crystal.clear waters were stunning and definately worth a visit! One of the things we loved most about the hotel was that no one reserved sunbeds. The pool and gym opened at 8am and at that time you could have the pick of any sunbeds. I've seen reviews where a few had commented there were a lack of beds. This wasn't our experience. There were extra sunbeds piled high at the side of the pool in the corner. The pool never felt over crowded in a morning or afternoon. There were always surplus beds stacked at the side of the pool Overall this hotel exceeded our expectations. It was clean, comfortable, peaceful and had fantastic staff in every department. We wouldn't hesitate to.stay here again and highly recommend this wonderful resort. I can understand why people return here again and again ! Well done Loryma Resort ! Each and everyone of you deserve credit !

My wife, son (15) and I stayed at the Lorymar Resort Hotel 27 July to 3 August 2026. We stayed in room 302. The hotel itself is stunning. It is built into the hillside in a way that really respects the environment. The grounds are beautiful, with amazing views at every turn. The outdoor pool is great, with no difficulties in finding sun loungers also with amazing views, and as an added bonus there was an indoor pool which was very calming and where you can swim out of the sun. The pool bar is very handy and the Oxygen bar on the terrace has the greatest view of any bar I have been to. All the staff were extremely friendly. Getting into and back from town (Turunc) either using the free shuttle bus or the very cheap taxis was no difficulty at all. My son loved the watersports in the bay, and the gym on site, and we had many lovely meals in the restaurants in town and at the resort. At the end of our stay I stupidly left some items in the room safe, and the hotel staff went out of their way to help me get them back. A huge thanks to Fatma and all the managers who helped. I fully recommend Lorymar Resort Hotel for a relaxing escape in breathtaking surroundings.
