Sea Star Marmaris

We stayed her middle of September for 10 days, We had seen this hotel many times as we walked by and decided to book for our 30th wedding anniversary. We were a little disappointed that this was not acknowledge by the hotel as we had noted it in our booking, but we had a lovely time beside that. Our room was a side sea view room facing the new hotel that was built next door, I would recommend doing that rather then land view as to me it could be noisy from the main road. Restaurant was fine, food tasty, but a bit repetitive, you had to go outside in the mornings for fried egg or omelette but it had cooled by the time you got round the other hot food, same at lunch and evening, so we would look outside first to see what was being cooked. Cakes were delicious!! Some of the cocktails were sicky sweet but some really nice. Mehmet was a lovely guy always helping out, he told me off for taking our glasses back from the beach!! Beach lovely but take beach shoes for walking into water, there is a hand rail to walk into water, also jetty . no umbrellas on there so it gets very hot!! Staff friendly , a lot off returning guests so they know the score on service for tips. We did have a few times when we could not not get a bed at the pool as they had been reserved and not used for hours, but we went out for walks or to the beach, even though there is a sign not to reserve bed before 7am. Our room was comfortable although i did find bed a little hard after a few days. Wifi was not too bad. kept dropping at time, but we managed to get it on beach. Booked a boat trip with Tui rep at hotel, for the adults only boat trip, which was excellent, no loud party music going, definitely recommended, Lovely Turkish bath in the hotel and massage, ask for package deals of what you would like. We booked for our 1st day and last, I given hotel 5 as i think 4 is too low, so i would say 4.5/5 Would we stay again?......Yes i think we would. Enjoy you holiday

Everything about this hotel is perfect. Firstly from walking in reception you are made to feel at home....every single one of the staff are fantastic..melis is a huge credit to the hotel along with mehmet on the beach hes so nice and helpful...the alacarte night is beautiful and the waiter who we named manuel made our night even better he is lovely....The hotel is spotless lovely and cannot fault it in anyway....oh an the drinks are very good..a big thankyou seastar you and all the team are perfect

We had a brilliant time at Sea Star. The hotel and our room were spotless which is a big thing for me personally. The location was the selling point for us and did not disappoint, we were right on the beach and the hotel has its own jetty which was great. The lifeguard, Mehmet, is an absolute credit to the hotel, he made sure only hotel guests used the beach sun loungers and jetty and kept the toilets locked and clean for guests. After a few days once he got to know us he would keep us sun beds reserved in our favourite spot. The sun beds were also large and very comfortable. The staff on the whole were lovely, shoutout to Görkem (hopefully I’ve spelt that correctly) in the bar, he was great. One thing that we did find though was that we were ignored during the first few days at meals for drinks orders etc and only once we had tipped the service then completely changed. We noticed a huge tipping culture, which of course is to be expected, but we were disappointed we had to tip in order to receive the good service and not the other way around, and felt pressure to tip immediately. The food was always fresh and hot, however by the end of the 2 week holiday we ended up eating out a few times due to the repetitiveness and lack of variety. The breakfast was awful, it consisted of salad and hard boiled eggs, as well as some generic cereal and ‘omelette’ which was more of a frittata it was so over cooked. No decent breakfast meats or pastries. Simple croissants would have made a huge difference, as well as some better egg options. We rarely ate breakfast during our stay. Dinner also became boring with the same dips and rotation of meals each night. The best night was the Turkish themed night they did once a week, I think this should be done more often as it was by far the best evening. The a la carte menu and food was lovely though, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Muahammer was very attentive and kind and the kitchen made a special cake for my partner’s birthday. Overall we had an excellent holiday and would stay here again, but maybe for less time due to the food variety letting it down.

As an adults only hotel this was a good place to stay. The rooms were spacious with TV and great bathroom/ shower. Beds are changed daily. The staff were very good and the food as an all inclusive hotel was very good. The beach lifeguard was very helpful and friendly. The position of the hotel was right on the seafront and at the best end of the bay. Only downside to the hotel was the poor Wi-Fi experience as it kept dropping which proved frustrating. The beds too were hard although super king size which on the one hand was great but did make for an uncomfortable experience. The season was ending the following week and so the town was shutting down. Not my favourite resort but can’t complain about the hotel.

What a wonderful hotel. We have been to alot of hotels,5 star plus but The Sea Star, suppased all our expectations. The staff, in particular, Mahmut was so attentive,polite and professional. The chief, recep food &bevarge menegar, came out to engage wirh staff. He went to the shop, to cater for my lactose and gluten free diet. We cant be more impressed if we tried! We will return. We doubt the service can be improved upon. When I need a break. I know that the service at The Sea Star will be first class, kind,relaxed. A home from home! Thankyou Menegar and Muhmet!!!
