Sea Star Marmaris

Just got back from Seastar after our first stay. It’s the most beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean with friendly professional service from every single member of staff. They literally cannot do enough for you! Rooms larger than average and well thought out with an extra large double rainfall shower. Food tastes amazing, everything has flavour and is beautifully presented every time with a great deal of choice. Sun beds available at every hour of the day and a gorgeous jetty on their own section of the beach if you prefer the sea. I literally have not one complaint, everything was so perfect and relaxing throughout the whole holiday. Been over to Turkey countless times in the last ten years and have never managed to find the perfect hotel until now but this is it. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I returned to Seastar for our fourth visit on 22nd June to celebrate my 60th birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary. Melis very kindly arranged an upgrade to a full sea-view room, which was absolutely amazing. Waking up to such a beautiful view of the bay made our celebrations even more special, so thank you so much, Melis. ❤️ Every member of staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and courteous. You truly have a fantastic team! A very special mention goes to Mehmet on the beach. He is such a kind, friendly, and genuinely lovely person, and he works tirelessly every single day. We would also like to say a huge thank you to Kemal and Gokberk at the pool bar, who always treated us with kindness and respect and made us feel so welcome. Our housekeeper, Nazlı, was wonderful. She cleaned our room perfectly every day and always stopped to say hello with a huge smile. After we left the hotel, my husband’s wallet had accidentally fallen under the bed. Nazlı found it, and the reception team tried to contact us, but unfortunately we had no Wi-Fi and couldn’t respond. Melis has very kindly arranged to keep the wallet safe for us until we return next year, and we are incredibly grateful to both of you for your honesty and kindness. ❤️ We will most definitely be returning next year. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the wonderful Seastar team. Thank you all so much for making every visit so memorable. 🥰

Returned from The Sea Star Hotel 11 days ago, this was our fifth visit to this amazing hotel and it will not be our last, it's like our second home. Some of the staff had changed, but many were still there as we found out the moment we stepped out of the taxi there was Mustafa from reception greeting us with "you're back" and gave me and my husband a big hug and told us to have a drink and they would sort out our cases, it's those little things that make this hotel so special. While we were there we saw many returning guests, who like us go there year in year out, yes the world is a big place and there are many countries to visit and even more hotels..even in Turkey but "if it aint broke don't fix it" are my thoughts with this hotel. The attention to detail and the professionalism of all the staff in this hotel is to be commended, the resturant waiters and waitresses are always so polite and go that extra mile, always smiling and willing to help, Fatima was the waitress we had serve us most days, what a lovely young lady she is and so good at her job. It was lovely to see one young waiter rush to help an older gentleman when he was carring a hot bowl of soup back to his table, the waiter was quick to take it off him and carry it for him. All the waiters and Chefs in the resturant deserve praise, I truly can not find any fault in them or the food we received, you would have to be an extremely fussy eater not to find something to eat! We had the A la Carte meal twice during our 3 weeks stay and it was amazing, the head waiter was exceptional at his job, again so professional and goes that extra mile, always smiling and at times so funny, he made those meals so special for us. We've got to know Mehmet the lifeguard on the beach very well over the years we've been going and a more hard working guy you would be hard to find, he makes sure everyone on the beach is okay, lovely man. The pool bar and the main bar staff were amazing, some names I can't remember but Gokberk and Kemal I do, but all the bar staff deserve praise. The maid who cleaned our room everday did a fantastic job...spotless! And finally special praise goes to Melis, one of the management team who sorts all the bookings and rooms out, over the years we've been going there she always makes herself available for you if you need to ask a question or just see if there's availability to keep your room for longer on the day you're going home, She's always smiling and boy is her English better than my Turkish ( 4 words) so Tesekkurler to Melis and the rest of the Sea Star team!

My wife & i arrived at the hotel 1:15 am & the first thing we were shown was the fresh sandwiches made. The all-inclusive is up there with the best i have seen. Tuborg Gold & Carlsberg on tap & Jack Daniels, Morgan's spiced rum, white rum & Gordons Gin. You've got unlimited access to ice cream & ice lollies.,bottled water,tea & coffee. The breakfast is amazing i love fish,my wife hates fish, but there's something for everyone. Omelette, salad, cereal,fresh fruit. Lunch time you can have something hot,salad or soup. Fresh bread is always available also. Dinner the barbecue opens & i had seabass & it was absolutely amazing. You're entitled to one a la carte meal a week, which you book with reception. The rooms are quite spacious & are cleaned daily with fresh towels every day. There's a rainfall shower which was excellent with fantastic water pressure & hot or as cold as you wish. The safe in the room is free to use, just put in your own code. The mini fridge is also free, it's stocked daily & it includes coke zero, coke,fanta,sprite, water & Tuborg all 2 tins apart from the water, it's 2 bottles. What you use will be replaced the next day. The beach has its own lifeguard Mehmet he's a legend, great guy. You're given two towels at the hotel for use at the pool or the beach. The hotel has its own private pier to use on the beach so you won't be bothered with the shingle on the beach. My negative points are, there's no activities at the hotel,or entertainment which can make for a long night if you don't have company or go out. One day for lunch i went for some baked fish, when i lifted it with the tongs it broke apart & i seen the fish was raw inside, i also took some pasta & it was cold. The beach you need to be careful or bring footwear you can wear in the water as the beach is all stony & very difficult to walk on into the water as well. Apart from the few negative points we both had two weeks which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff are excellent & go out of their way to help you. Beste in the dining area was always around to see to our every need. Mohammed is very helpful at the poolside bar area & with the a la carte. All the staff are very friendly & will always say hello & make you feel welcomed. We hopefully will be back next year.

We have been visiting Turkey regularly for the last thirty years and stayed at some lovely hotels but the Sea Star takes first prize. Well positioned on the sea front and only a short stroll into a lively Icemeler.The staff are all absolutely brilliant, friendly and attentive without being obtrusive.It would be unfair to single out any individual as they have all been spot on. The staff make the difference with this hotel. The place is spotless and the food cannot be faulted. It has its own well managed beach, nice pools (one indoor), gym, spa and sun beds are plentiful….no morning dashes in this place. Several UK tv channels and excellent wifi. I had the misfortune to have a fall and injure myself and was extremely well looked after by the lifeguards and hotel management.A para medic was conjured up in a few minutes and transport from the hotel to the hospital for stitching was seamless. Cannot fault the Sea Star and its definitely top of the return list.
