Wouldn't go back, when we checked in to our rooms there was pubic hairs on the wall around the toilet, coffee stains up the door and wall, the fridge wasn't working and was warm, the shower heads weren't functioning and the water pressure was significantly low, then after we looked around the room we went for a spot of lunch in the hotel restaurant, when we got the chicken we cut it open and it was completely raw that raw that it was purple and bloody still! Awful variety of food bolognese for 5 days In a row, mouldy fruit at breakfast, pasta was either undercooked or overcooked I’ve had better food in prison than this slop! was unable to get coffee or tea for the evening meal, all the carbonated drinks were losing the syrup and it tasted like soda water and this was an ongoing issue, There was no water sports or activity in the pool during the day and no entertainment in the evening and it was stated when we booked the holiday that it would have both of these things, that's a real let down! But we later found out that the reason there was no entertainment was because the person had be fired the week before, We had all inclusive which was very poor lots of cheap rubbish included no good quality, there was a lot of hidden added extras around the hotel which were never stated or brought to attention upon arrival! You couldn't sit in the lobby covered in cat hairs, ripped to shreds and the seats were disgustingly grubby! The staff were rude and obnoxious any problem you had you couldn’t go to them they, were rude!

Very disappointing stay at KN Matas Blancas and definitely not a hotel I would return to. The first issue was the so-called all-inclusive package. Despite paying for all-inclusive, guests are required to pay a €1 deposit for a drinks cup. Normally this wouldn’t be a huge problem, but if you don’t have cash on you, you’re forced to use the hotel’s cash machine, which has a minimum withdrawal of €20 and charges a €4.95 processing fee. Having to withdraw €20 and pay nearly €5 in fees just to get a €1 cup is ridiculous and completely defeats the purpose of an all-inclusive holiday. Although the hotel is advertised as adults only, it felt much more like an 18-30s resort. The atmosphere was extremely loud throughout our stay, with a much younger clientele than we expected. If the hotel caters more towards younger groups looking for a lively holiday, this should be made clear when booking. The bar situation was also frustrating. There are three bars in the hotel, yet only one seemed to be open at any given time. During the day you have to go all the way down to the pool bar for a drink, while in the evening you have to go up to the third floor. For the last few nights, the third-floor bar was closed, meaning guests had to go up to the fourth floor just to get a drink. It was inconvenient and made very little sense. To make matters worse, the all-inclusive drinks package stops at 11pm, after which guests are charged for drinks. This felt very restrictive and was another disappointment. Communication from the hotel was poor. On our departure day we received a phone call at 11:10am telling us we should have checked out at 11am. However, the paperwork provided when we checked in clearly stated that check-out was at 12pm. When we questioned this at reception, we were told the time had changed on Wednesday. We had checked in on Saturday and were never informed of this change, resulting in us having to rush around unnecessarily before leaving. I was also surprised to find that basic items such as kettles and irons have to be rented rather than being provided as standard. The housekeeping standards were also below what I would expect. Although the room was tidied daily and the bed was remade, the bedding was never actually changed during our entire stay. It was clear that the same sheets were being put back on each day, which is not the standard I would expect from a hotel and added to the overall disappointment of the experience. The bar service was also incredibly understaffed. Despite only having one bar open at a time, there was often just one person serving drinks for the entire hotel. Unsurprisingly, this created long queues and lengthy waits throughout the day and evening. For an all-inclusive hotel, having to spend so much time queuing for a drink is unacceptable. On one occasion, when I politely asked for the water from my drink to be emptied as it was mostly melted ice, the member of staff appeared extremely under pressure due to how busy it was and responded rudely, including what seemed like a swear word in their own language. While I understand they were clearly understaffed, this was still an unpleasant interaction and not how guests should be treated. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. Between the unexpected charges, poor communication, limited bar availability, understaffed service, housekeeping standards and noisy atmosphere, the hotel failed to meet expectations. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

This is not a 4-star hotel. All-inclusive is a joke. Visiting from London, two friends for a short two-day break. I would never return. The hotel is not as advertised. We came and are currently here until tomorrow. This hasn't been a relaxing break. You will need to pay for your own glass if sitting by the pool to have a drink, all-inclusive or not. It's ridiculous; they want 4 euros for 2 glasses. This must be cash. Again, ridiculous. I ended up having to buy 2 plastic cups from the minimarket on-site. The TV doesn't work and isn't a smart TV. You cannot connect to any English stations or Netflix, etc. You are told you should have brought your Amazon stick with you. There is no kettle in the room; you must pay 10 euros for this. No hot drinks, only at the restaurant or pool bar. The opening times are from 11 am and finish at 9 pm at the restaurant or pool bar, or 6 pm. The swimming pool shuts at 6 pm, way too early. The sun is still out, and you're made to feel unwelcome. They physically lock off the pool. The food is subpar and recycled for lunch and dinner. Dinner was the best as some fish and prawn steak; the rest is the same every day. There's no toast station. The fruit, the bananas are green, the grapes bitter and not ripe. This is not a 4-star as sold. In the bathroom, the wood is rotten at the bottom near the shower. The rooms are very basic but clean. It's adult-only, and this was the reason I booked it. The drinks are okay if you drink beer; it's Amstel on tap. The wine is fizzy and cheap stuff, not pleasant. The juice is like squash. The spirits are non-branded and watered down. No ice lollies at the pool bar snack bar. The food is recycled from breakfast: doughnuts, some cakes, the cheese and meats from breakfast, bread from breakfast. Same fruit from breakfast. For the spa, you must pay 15 euros to use the plunge pool. The massages only start from 2 pm. The squash and mini golf you must pay for are not included. This is a very budget hotel; the staff don't care if you're not happy. I paid £500 for all-inclusive for 2 nights, and it's not worth the money.
