BLUESEA Marieta Spa

We had a wondeful week at the Marieta. Came back last night. Carina on Reception was very helpful. The hotel was very clean all the time. Rooms cleaned every day. Food was fantasic, i tried a little bit of most of the dishes, the restaurant staff / chefs must’ve been cooking all day & evening as the food was always fresh & lots to choose from. Maria on the bar was lovely & looked after us. We upgraded from half board to all inc for €20 a day. Was worth it for us & we don’t really drink. The rooftop terrace is stunning. Didnt use the dip pools on the rooftop as prefer to swim so we stayed downstairs most of the time. Rooms were lovely, we was in 120, first floor, overlooked the shops, not the best view but fine for us. Only thing i didnt like in the room was the obscured glass bathroom door that looked straight onto the beds - slight gap. We had a twin room & been friends for a long time but there was no privacy. Would’ve been better if door didnt face the beds. Gran Canaria is beautiful. We went to the Dunes & the lighthouse - beautiful. We took the bus but on the way back the bus driver didnt tell us where to get off, we was waiting to get off & he left us a mile away from our hotel on a dual carriageway where we walked back to our hotel late at 10pm. Luckily it seemed pretty safe. The smell in the hotel was gorgeous. I found it on Bluesea instagram but the reception staff wasnt aware it could be sold & never had any. They gave us a website to look at but we couldn’t find it. We contacted Bluesea to see if we could purchase some but received a rude response. Overall we had a fantastic holiday. Would recommend.

The first impression is good. Friendly reception. We had a nice room . The hotel have a calm atmosphere en de colours are nice. design minimalistish. The food is very good, lots of choise en variation. The cleaning staff is very good the clean the whole day. compliment. The hotel is situated on a busy street. The first floor onn the street side will be noisy but if you like that its oke. The entertainment in de evening have a lot of variation. If they do it outside then you have a problem as non smoker. The bar area inside is oke the chairs are real back breakers, (the told me, these get replaced). The entertainment at the pool is nice. Also the pool get cleaned and checked every day. enough sunbeds . some are broke. If there is a maintenance problem they try to solved asap. You can do your own excursions the local bus station is near by. The only problem that the beach is not far but you have to clime up/down the stairs 80-90 steps. or walk a kilometer there is a lift at the end of the walkway (only shop hours open). We stayed 3 weeks and we had a good time

Myself and my husband stayed here for 7 nights, all inclusive and everything was fantastic. The room was beautiful, we originally booked for a standard room but upgraded to a sea view room upon arrival (highly recommend). The room was clean, plenty of towels and lots of space. The facilities were great, we loved the rooftop, and used the downstairs pool every day of our trip. The entertainment was your typical resort entertainment, but gave us some fantastic evenings. There’s also a gym that my husband used which is great. The food was very varied, lots of choice so nobody should be complaining! And the staff were perfect, nothing was too much hassle for them, they always were smiling and big shout out to Kev on the coco loco bar, who made the best margaritas according to my husband. We would definitely return!❤️

Stayed here with my Mum for a few days for a relaxing holiday, overall a really lovely hotel, however it lacks atmosphere in some areas, whether it was just the time of year we went maybe, but it was almost too quiet at points! The entertainment is great, with music around the poolside, however we only saw one person providing it, and he was only ever really around in the evenings! To improve the atmosphere around the resort, it would be nice to have more day entertainment, we found ourselves retreating to our room after too much sun as there was very little to no entertainment until the evenings. Room was clean, tidy, and cleaned daily. Air con worked stunningly, however bed sheets are paper thin, so bring an extra blanket if you tend to get cold! Food was about as good as you can get all inclusive, slightly repetitive however they did vary some things on a few days. Some things could be hotter but everything was cooked fine. Drinks, this is what I found a little annoying, you have to put a euro deposit down everytime you want a drink, even if you are all inclusive, I suppose this is to stop people leaving cups around the poolside, but if you don’t have any euros on you, good luck getting yourself a drink from the bar! There was also a lot of construction and building work going on which at times hindered the relaxation. I suppose they are completing it out of season, but not the most ideal. If you want a serious amount of sun, head to the rooftop terrace, there was still building works going on here, but you can sit at the end and it’s much quieter. Overall a lovely hotel which provides a relaxing atmosphere, but if you’re looking for more, I’d probably suggest somewhere else!

We had a lovely time at the marieta, when welcomed by reception, by a beautiful smile it always makes you feel welcome, we arrived in the evening and asked if we would like to go straight to dinner as it was still serving and let us put our bags in a safe place while eatting then we were informed of everything they have to offer in a polite way. Prior to our stay I informed the hotel that it was my wifes birthday on our arrival date and when entering our room they had left her a lovely card and a bottle of fizz. Also it was our 2nd wedding anniversary a few days later again when coming back from the beach we were greeted with a card and another bottle of fizz in the room. Staff were lovely, hotel clean and lots of staff working hard to keep it clean and tidy. Our favourite was the roof top and enjoyed the chilled atmosphere, until they had some maintenance work, but we didnt mind moving down to the pool because of the noise which is just as nice. Entertainment was fun, not always our cup of tea but because we are regular visitors to Playa Del Ingles we were out visiting our local favourite venues most evenings anyway. We were all inclusive which was good value, people seemed to have problems with the reusable plastic cups but we didnt mind and makes absolute sense! But must admit when having a beer i would much prefer a bigger pint cup, i don't see the problem with this but staff weren't will to serve you in yhe bigger cup in you were all inclusive. Which I was disappointed with. Our room was clean and tidy and everything we required, the room without the view are facing a busy street and can be a little noisy when on the balcony and with the setting sun can get very hot early evening. Overall I would recommend this hotel and at great value, so much so while on our visit we booked to return on the end of July but with an upgraded room we a sea view. We are very much looking forward to it and see your smiley faces again! Thank you hotel Marieta some lovely memories made xx
