Hotel LIVVO Lago Taurito

Would not recommend, accommodation is reasonable, air con doesn’t actually work so the room is always boiling. Food is very repetitive with not that much choice. Evening ‘entertainment’ for children is the same every night. Staff are very friendly, had to pay 27 euros for a kettle to allow us to make baby formula. Water park is salt water so not very good for children, also all the slides are height restricted so literally nothing for our almost 5 year old! Arena plaza doesn’t open until 18:00 so no activities to do around the hotel in the day and you have to pay for everything, as all inclusive you would expect to be able to utilise their activities without having to pay extra. The beach near the hotel is black sand so gets extremely hot, you literally can’t walk on it without shoes on, it even melted one of our flip flops.

I would never return to this hotel. Firstly this hotel is extremely run down and dirty, the decking outside is a hazard with loose boards and holes which people were tripping over. The stage area roof is ripped along with very poor repetitive entertainment. Basic alcohol and would need to pay for anything like a cocktail. The food and drink was extremely poor. The chicken was either raw or so over cooked it wasn’t edible. There’s hardly any choice and it’s very repetitive. We were all inc yet this doesn’t include in the water park. You had to pay extra for that along with having to buy a parasol and mats for the sunbed lounge. Doesn’t feel like an all inclusive holiday. The water park itself is no good for children under 1.2m as the children are not allowed on even the smallest slide if not meeting this height leaving smaller children alone and sad separated from There party.Even worse the water is so full of salt you struggle to even swim in it and god forbid anyone got some in there mouth as you would struggle to not be sick, and even worse again the pool has algae bloom as it doesn’t seem to be cleaned properly (image attached). The facilities are poor. No cutlery no kettle unless you pay and no baby changing facilities. We felt lucky to make it out without taking ill as that was a big fear all holiday what with the food and pool water. You shouldn’t feel like this when you’ve paid for a holiday you’ve looked forward to. I would highly advise staying away from this hotel

Food just not a good standard, as I am a vegetarian there was just fish and of course veggies and salad. No meat substitutes like quorn. Plenty for meat eaters and no not a life choice it is a dietry condition, which I did talk to the restaurant manager about and he said I could have cheese omelettes made daily, On 3rd day I was taken to local hospital due to severe gastroenteritis and I only ate at the hotel. Hotel pool does not have walk in steps so one of our party with disability issues could not use the pool. We did use aqua park which was ok. Large hotel which caters for families so that’s why we booked. Saying that we will not be booking hotel again, everyone will have their own opinions for this hotel. So I wish you the experience you have.

Water slides were nice , drinks and hotel pool. However, some of the food wasnt cooked properly and the rule that drinks and inflatables arent allowed in pools are honestly stupid. The internet connection is poor and the fact that you have to pay 3€ for a slushy but nearly all drinks are all inclusive is weird. Looks like what people said about this hotel was true. I would only recommend if you like waterslides but for me it wasnt a great experience.

I am writing this to urgently warn other parents, especially those with vulnerable or neurodivergent children. Our family holiday at LIVVO Lago Taurito was completely ruined on our very first night (Monday 8th June) when a hotel security guard was caught covertly filming my young daughter. When we immediately reported this to the front desk, instead of protecting us, the situation escalated. The security guard was allowed to sit directly behind my family in an explicit attempt to intimidate us for reporting him. The hotel management clearly knew they were in the wrong because they summarily sacked the guard on the spot. Multiple members of the front desk staff and the new security team explicitly confirmed to me that he had been fired for his actions. However, when I asked for their names to document this admission, they flat-out refused to provide them—clearly trying to cover their tracks and protect the hotel from corporate liability. To make matters worse, the staff told us that if we weren't happy, we should call the local police, but openly warned us that the local authorities "would not side with the British" over a local worker. As a family trapped abroad with vulnerable children, this created an incredibly hostile, unsafe, and terrifying environment. Two of my eldest children have severe ADHD and autism. This trauma and intimidation completely shattered their sense of safety. They were too terrified to even enter the hotel restaurant for the rest of the trip for fear of seeing the man or facing further retaliation. As a result, we were forced to pay out-of-pocket to eat at external restaurants for the remainder of our stay just so my children felt safe enough to eat. This hotel completely failed in its basic duty of care and child safeguarding. They employ predators, permit intimidation of guests, and the staff will protect the hotel's reputation over the safety of your children. Avoid this place at all costs if you have a family.
