Hotel Flamingo Beach is a nice hotel it is clearly converted from an apartment complex spread over a large site, it is not a fenced hotel as it has public right of ways through the site this was not an issue at all but worth pointing out if you have youngsters The rooms/ apartment was great really good size with separate bedrooms cleaner working everyday, air-conditioning worked well and facilities in the rooms are good with fridges and microwave with a small electric hob there is a nice lounge area with wall mounted TV and a private terrace to the front of the apartment The hotel has 3 different pool areas with the main pool with a child's pool alongside plenty of sunbeds available most days in the week we were there mid June, there is also a quiet pool which was smaller and a smaller children's pool around the corner both with plenty of sunbeds The bar areas for the hotel are limited with mediocre drinks on offer just the 2 bars one of which is a pool bar as the second pool bar at the quiet pool remaining closed The main bar area is set up for children's entertainment and very basic adult entertainment such as music quiz and the odd music show For those who crave football there is a sports bar above the promenade (payable) and plenty of bars and restaurants further along the promenade with a small bunch of bars and restaurants around 400m along the promenade with shops and restaurants further up toast the ferry harbour There are bars and restaurants else than 100 meters away along the promenade area along with a couple of supermarkets As for food I must say the quality of the food was really good it did get a little repetitive but this is the case with all all-inclusive hotels self service drinks including beer and wine, soft drinks were a nice touch Restaurants open 3 times a day with large snack restaurant behind the poolside bar with a good choice of food from toasties pizza, burgers hot dog along side spaghetti 🍝 and lasagne large salad bar and cold foods Overall we had a nice stay and were able to eat well we chose to limit our time in the bar area and chose to go out at night either to the bars on the promenade behind the hotel but most nights we made our way along the promenade to the Irish anvil bar Please beware the restaurants on the promenade have some fantastic food I recommend you try the Asia Chinese and the curry house above the Irish anvil both are fantastic Would I return yes nothing bad about the hotel just that we didn't get on with the drinks and entertainment
Please do not book this hotel, it is dirty and infested with cockroaches. The hotels response and TUIs response was to hand over a large can of bug spray. The restaurant is filthy with food on the walls and the floor was full of left over food. The bar area is small with cheap liquor used. The pool had a film across the top where the water was not treated. It may appear to be a cheap holiday but please book elsewhere and definitely do not take children.
We loved the large apartment with a terrace and balcony. Overall, the complex is well laid out and kept very neat and tidy with lots of pools and sun beds. The food in the hotel was very good and the local beer was also great. Can't say the same about the wines and we don't drink spirits. The idea of 'fine dining' in a different restaurant with waiter service once on your holiday was a winner which we all thoroughly enjoyed. As guests with another couple we were forced to go out in the evening as the entertainment in the hotel catered for families and was crowded and very noisy with lots of young children. There is a need for a separate place for grownups to relax and enjoy entertainment more suitable to them. Given that we were spending money going out every evening takes the shine off being all inclusive and the four of us would think very carefully before choosing this hotel again.
Wow!! Officially a 2 star but in my opinion it's defo worth a 4 star rating! First of all please, please ,please ignore the negative reviews. I truly believe people pay little and expect the earth. The food was really good always loads and loads of choice. Drinks were good cocktails were premixed except the wonderful mojitos. I had hot chocolate and brandy most days...my hubby drank the very acceptable Tropical lager. The hot chocolate in all the machines was gorgeous. We had a superior room with a sea view.. beautiful. The ala carte included in the price at the Taverna delicious .The entertainment staff kept everyone going most of the day and work so hard ,as do all the staff at this hotel. This hotel is definitely geared for families however as a couple we loved sitting by the lively pool listening to music while the kids were having a ball. If that's not your thing there is quiet pool and an Olympic pool for lengths. Cava for breakfast to make Mimosas. They did themed food days which was excellent too. I cannot praise this hotel enough. The staff brilliant, Tui Blu animation team brilliant , food, drink beautiful surroundings. What's not to like!!! Don't hesitate book it beacause we are so glad we did. We will definately be back!!
After reading a review below, I thought I would start with the steps, stairs, ramps, and hill. I don’t know what the percentage is of rooms that don’t have steps or stairs into them, but it must be a very low number. I have just taken the time to re-read the TUI page on this hotel, and if I am right, there is no mention of any steps, stairs, or ramps at this hotel. We were in room 6C, 8 steep steps to the gate at the top, no wider than a large suitcase. I can walk, and I struggled to get my suitcase to the top. TUI needs to get their hotel page sorted so people can make a choice about going to this hotel, as not everyone classifies themselves as special assistance. They need to mail me and talk this over. Let’s get to the main event, the food. Good food labeling with vegan and gluten-free sections with a good selection of food at each meal time on both these stations. I had some excellent vegan food. No shortage of pizzas. Always a good choice in the kids’ food section. A good selection of desserts which changed each meal time. Most nights were a theme night. What I also liked, there was always a chef on hand to answer any questions. The chefs and dining room staff worked very hard to give you a great experience. Soft drink, beer, and wine available to help yourself. Now for my 0 out of 10. The hot drinks were hanging, sorry, hot chocolate more than any, this was the same across the whole complex out of the hotel drinks machine. Poolside bar. The best thing they have, Is a no food by the pool policy. They have a bar you can walk into with your swim stuff on and get a drink. The poolside food bar you need to put footwear on and tops. This is one of the best food bars by the pool I have been in. Rooms. We had 6C, a superior room. An air-conditioning problem with this room that never got fixed, which I reported on day one. I think it’s a standing problem as we had two fans in the room. The room was very clean, the beds were okay. The cleaning team were very polite. TV had come English TV and kids’ channels in the day. This room is 2 minutes from the beach, a few shops, and restaurants. Up the hill, 2 minutes to the pool, dining room, and entertainment room. The gym is the same way. Entertainment: If you have stayed in a TUI Blue before, it’s all the same. Lots of stuff around the pool for the kids, lots of get-fit for the adults. Lots of sunbeams, not sure what it would be like in the summer. Evening entertainment starts with the baby’s story time and ends with adult stuff. Some in-house TUI staff act as well as outside stuff coming in. You like it or you don’t, as it’s not for all. As always with Lanzarote, pack a light coat as it can get a little cool in the evening if it’s windy. You can always relax on the patio. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The TUI staff were also very friendly and helpful. Posted 14/06/26
