Mar y Sol Spa & Sport Hotel

Hotel generally caters for people with disabilities. The staff were excellent with everyone and couldn't do more for people with a disability. I'm able bodied but was very impressed with the set up for wheel chair users and the vibe of the hotel . I was there for a week and loved every minute of it . Three pools with supports for disabled people and a hydrotherapy pool . Room was basic but clean and staff in every day changing and cleaning . I would 100% go back to that hotel

I spent one week here in February this year and wished I'd booked for longer. It's in an excellent and quiet location up just a slight hill from the promenade. Built primarily for people with disabilities and their families, it still caters for the able bodied. I was very happy that I'd booked it since I'd fallen and twisted my back a few weeks beforehand. Almost everything is on a level and, in the few places where there are steps, there are also ramps for wheelchairs. The staff, especially in Reception, were friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The heated outdoor pool was a definite bonus. We had some musical entertainment and I enjoyed the traditional musicians who played in the dining room one evening. My room was basic but clean with a lovely walk- in shower. It would have been helpful to have more drawers in the room, this is my usual complaint with hotels. I love drawers, you can chuck everything in them and walk out, leaving the room looking tidy. I booked half board and had no complaints about the food. I was always able to find something decent to eat, and I am a very fussy eater. I thought the breakfasts were especially good with a great variety on offer. In all, it was a very enjoyable week and, as soon as I got home, I booked for 10 days next March and I'm really looking forward to it. Thank you to all at Mar y Sol xxx

First class hotel for those with lots of disabalities to be included .Pool brilliant warm with hoists Rooms a bit dated bed settee in liveing room uncomfartable to sit on.Bathroom ok ours had small shower it could be improved with rainfall shower head to stop water wetting the slippery floor.Dineroom ok bit like a canteen style tables not laid out table cloths not changed when stained by other people so not hygenic Food ok thin salads could be labled like in other hotels we have stayed in.Be wary when you check out keep all your reciepts as they are liable to charge you for things you not had.Never seen so many wheelchairs and mobility scooters .I use a scooter but found it very over whelming as we usualy go to hotels that have a few adapted rooms which we now realize we prefer .Good concept but unfortually not for us .

Just returned from a 10 night stay at this traditional and friendly hotel. Even though our room was probably getting due for refurbishment it was very clean and secure. I had requested a room with a nice view and afternoon sun which is exactly what we were allocated and overlooked the lovely pool area. Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas dotted around the pools, not packed in like sardines like many other properties we saw. We were booked on a half board basis and thoroughly enjoyed the food offered , always fresh and tasty. We have been to many hotels with larger choices but I would say quality is better than quantity. The staff were always helpful and made you feel very welcome, a special mention to the reception. The location is fairly quiet but there is a good choice of bars and restaurants close by if you want a change of scenery. The seafront area of Los Cristianos is roughly a 10 -15 minute walk downhill a little longer coming back up but not too steep.

I recently stayed in the hotel, the plan was to visit for 10days. I ened up staying for a month. The hotel itself is very good Not a modern trendy one but good facilities and very clean. The thing that makes this hotel outshine the rest is the staff. My husband became unwell as we arrived and was in hospital 3 weeks . The reception staff showed us such care and kindness even a hug here and there when things were bad. However the Star of the show is the public relations lady Satu. Her completely genuine attention went way above and beyond anything any employer could possibly ask. I could give so many examples of things she did which made such a difference. It would take all night. Thanks also to the restaurant staff and Tommy for the jokes and not letting me get to down. The hotel has entertainment of various sorts. I especially enjoyed the gentleman playing the Grand Piano so beautifully. Anything I asked for was not a problem for any of the staff. I intend to visit again soon hopefully with my husband in the best of health. My sincere gratitude to Satu and everyone who took care of me and every request. Excellent and exceptional service
