Nungwi Beach Resort by Turaco – Zanzibar

An excellent small(ish) boutique hotel that has everything: nice beach front, pool with pool-bar, delicious food (both at the buffet and at the resto), diving school, wellness with with skilled masseuses, and last but not least wonderful staff. Thank you all: bar staff, resto & buffet staff, the lovely cleaning ladies and our hero mushini.

Our stay at Turaco Resort in Zanzibar was nothing short of incredible. What truly sets this place apart is the staff—they are the heart and soul of the experience and made all the difference in our trip. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. One of our absolute favorites was “Why Not,” whose energy and personality perfectly capture the spirit of the resort. The entire team works tirelessly to ensure every guest feels special and has an unforgettable experience. The beach is absolutely stunning—powdery white sand, crystal-clear waters, and a sense of peace that’s hard to put into words. We also felt completely at ease knowing security is always present and attentive, making sure guests can fully relax and enjoy their vacation. A special thank you to Efrazia and Ame, who made sure we were well fed and taken care of throughout our stay. Their attention and kindness did not go unnoticed. Regina the Guest Relations manager was attentive pre during and post our trip-a true hospitality professional! If you’re looking for the perfect place to unwind after a safari and soak in a true slice of paradise, I can’t recommend Turaco Resort enough. It’s a place you’ll remember long after you leave.

Wonderful stay at a nice place at the beach. Ordinary friendly staff in the restaurant and especially at the bar. Feeling like on vacation! After that whole week on Safari in Tansania it is good to relax in a sensational environment.
