Riu Jambo

We stayed at Hotel Riu Jambo for two weeks at the end of May, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, and our spacious sea-view room was cleaned daily. Every evening brought breathtaking sunsets over the water. The resort is set on a stunning white sandy beach with crystal-clear turquoise sea, plus complimentary water sports, snorkelling, and scuba diving(at a cost). We dined at all three speciality restaurants and enjoyed them all, while the main buffet offered a wide variety of fresh, well-prepared dishes for every taste. The staff were a real highlight. Everyone was warm, friendly, and helpful, with special thanks to Busara, Sulemana, and Saleh for their outstanding service. Bachu also stood out during the resort activities for his energy and enthusiasm. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend Hotel Riu Jambo for a relaxing beach getaway. We would happily return.

- Poor services and unprofessional staff! The hotel is poorly managed! - Although pick up from the airport was included in the price, until we landed, it wasn't certain if anyone would come to pick us up. None was replying to our emails or calls. - Man discrimination! Men are requested to be properly dressed, while women are allowed to be in bikini in the reception area, in bars, corridors, elevators, restaurant, etc............. - When you see a woman in bikini at the reception, you directly understand that this is not a hotel, but a br@thel. - The staff is not friendly, the staff is FORCED to be friendly! All these kind questions are fake! They do not care about the guests! - The staff lacks proper training! - Many common areas have no sewers. Once raining, the place is flooded. - In case you need medical treatment from the hotel clinic, no problem, they will charge more than the same treatment in Switzerland! - Patients are not addressed by their surnames. The clown pretending to be a doctor in the clinic addresses you as follows: yes man, hello man, come in man. - The clinic lacks some of the basic stuff. - If you need drugs, no problem. As soon as you go down the hotel steps and find yourself on the beach, the friendly locals are going to offer you any kind of drugs you may need! - Cocktail ingredients at the hotel: 70% juice, 20 % ice, 10% alcohol. - In case you have an early morning flight, forget of sleeping eralier! You have to listen to the mau-mau music till 11 or 12 p.m. - Disgusting place, disgusting experience!
