We had the best experience because of Neema and William ( Will.I.Am) at the main restaurant during breakfast time. From the second we arrived at the resort, during lunch time while waiting to be checked in ; they both made sure we were relaxed by offering us some bubbly and a warm smile. Every morning we looked forward to seeing them. William was very helpful with making reservations to the other restaurants as we were having issues with the app. Both Neema and William made us feel like luxury clients and we felt like we were the only ones in the room ( we were a group of 6 😇) . Do look out for both Neema and William at the main restaurant and thank us later ❤️. Best experince ever at this resort 🎉.

Very large resort with a huge number of guests. The gentleman at the reception desk should definitely receive further training in basic courtesy, as his behaviour was extremely unprofessional. The room was only moderately clean upon arrival (foreign hairs on the pillows and in the bathroom, as well as an extremely strong chemical smell in the toilet area, which was also not properly ventilated). The air conditioning was permanently set far too cold, at around 20°C, and remained at this temperature even though we adjusted it several times a day. There are no proper duvets, only thin sheets that are hardly sufficient to keep you warm at night. On the first night, I had to sleep wearing a thick fleece jacket. It was so uncomfortable that we eventually had to request thick duvets in order to be able to sleep comfortably at night. These arrived more than an hour after we requested them. During the daily room cleaning, fresh towels were repeatedly forgotten. Even after calling reception several times, no new towels were brought to us, so I eventually had to search for a member of the housekeeping staff myself to get some towels. The food is mediocre to below average, both in terms of taste and quality. For example, the eggs at breakfast were often not properly cooked (there was almost always visible runny egg white), and we also found hairs in the food on several occasions. My partner suffered from severe food poisoning, which almost resulted in a hospital stay. We ate exclusively at the hotel, so the source was unfortunately quite obvious. Half of our holiday was ruined as a result. At a resort of this size, it is clear that the focus is primarily on mass catering and serving large numbers of guests. The beach area is decent, although the sun loungers are regularly reserved by various hotel guests with towels early in the morning. Many guests also bring their own speakers to the beach, resulting in constant unwanted music and noise, which the hotel staff does not seem to prevent. On the positive side, guests staying in the designated sun-lounger area are largely protected from the beach vendors. There are no parasols, however. The seawater was very cold, but clear and clean. The restaurant staff and the staff at the beach restaurants were very friendly. Overall, this was by far the worst hotel experience we had during our two-week trip through Tanzania and Zanzibar. I cannot recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, the value for money is nowhere near what it should be. This was definitely our last stay at a large resort.
