mazing resort with incredibly friendly staff. The buffet offers a huge variety of delicious food, so there is something for everyone. A little tip: if you dine at the main restaurant, try to get a table on the right-hand side near the entrance with Suleman – he is extremely attentive, friendly, and charming. Deborah also provided outstanding service and was always very welcoming. During my four-night stay, I had dinner at both the Kulinarium restaurant and the Asian restaurant, and I can highly recommend both. The rooms are very spacious, and the beds are soft and comfortable. Fresh towels are provided every day. There is a wide range of activities and entertainment throughout the day, so you’ll always find something to do. If you prefer to relax, you can enjoy delicious cocktails by the pool or at the beach instead.

Only positives and superlatives about this hotel. Genuinely friendly staff that is happy to have you as a guest. The hotel and all spaces are continiuously cleaned, this was one of the cleanest hotels I have experienced. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel never feels crowded, there is always room by the pools any time of day. I highly recommend this hotel for an all inclusive experience in Zanzibar.

The RIU offers great value for all the amenities it offers. I was impressed by the landscape, the comfortable accommodations, the cleanliness and over all kindness of the staff. I would recommend staying at the RIU and enjoying the hospitality for the hospitality was truly the value in the stay. (our group of 17 were conducting missions / evangelistic work in Africa).

We spend three nights in the hotel, all inclusive. We arrive late on the first night, so dinner time was over. They only had some snacks near the reception but nothing worth eating, very poor choice. On arrival we were given an upgrade on the room, a large and spacious room with a balcony facing the ocean, we thought it was great until we got there and found out it was the furthest room in the hotel and facing the Riu Party area, which meant loud music until midnight every day, when customers were asked to avoid making noise after 11 PM. When we got to the room not a single bottle of water for us to drink or wash our teeth was in the room, so I went to the reception desk, 10 minutes walking, and asked for water. I was informed by the receptionist that no porter was available, and she put 4 one a half litter bottle on the counter for me to carry ☹ what the heck, it´s a four-star, all-inclusive hotel and the fault was theirs. The third bed was a sofa bed, quite uncomfortable, which for a 4-star hotel is inadmissible. The second awkward moment took place on the last day. We had our transfer to the airport at 4 PM and had to check out the room by 12 PM, so I asked the receptionist if they had a place where we could leave our luggage and a place where we could have a shower and change before leaving the hotel. They said they had bur forgot to mention that we had to book an hour to use the room, so when my daughter went to have a shower and change clothes she couldn´t do it because she hadn´t book it in advance. So, final considerations, the hotel is good, the food is great (we didn´t get to try the themed restaurants as we only spent 3 nights and there were no places available, every restaurant was fully booked 48 hours early), except for the fact that after dinner the choices of snacks are very poor. Several people complained they couldn´t use the Riu app to book the restaurants. Despite the hotel size and number of guests we never had any issues with finding a table for lunch or dinner neither to get a sunbed by the pool or on the beach. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful except for the reception staff that are appallingly incompetent and rude.
