My husband and I spent 7 wonderful nights at The Mora and we loved every second of our stay. Room - our room was located near the garden pool and it was lovely and peaceful overlooking the gardens. Facilities - the swimming pool, gym and spa areas were really well maintained. The pools all offered something different - great views and a lively atmosphere at Eclipse and a quieter more laid back option at the garden pool. My husband used the gym each day and felt it was well equipped with all the machines etc he needed. Food/drink - we were lucky to try food at all the restaurants and each offered different food, all was delicious! The various themed nights at the buffet were all great too. Breakfast offered lots of options ranging from delicious fresh fruit, cereals, curries, cooked breakfast and set us up well each day. Beach - it is a beach that has low and high tide - it was lovely to have a swim as high tide started. The long stretch of sand was beautiful and we enjoyed many days enjoying the scenery. Staff - they made our stay! Every member of staff greeted us with a smile and were always super helpful. We didn’t catch everyone’s names but we had real standout service from Jacqlyn on the beach, Ramadhan who would set up our loungers and clean our sunglasses, Emanuel who was the best bar man and biggest character! We also found Isack’s service at the restaurants to be amazing, Chezalina is an absolute star, Michael in the restaurant. The WONDERFUL Tabitha made sure we were always looked after, Ziada at the pool bar and Remi - ALL gave outstanding performance. Finally Sia took time to get feedback and showed great customer service. My husband and I are keen to return and that is massively down to the great experience all the staff gave us. We will be back and next time it will be for longer!

Excellent all inclusive choice in Zanzibar after safari. Special sought out to Bilal our server at Muyuni beach club and chef at Jikan for personalising our request and over the top service. All team members seem eager to help.

We recently stayed at Mora Zanzibar and overall had a memorable holiday, but it certainly started off on the wrong foot. We had booked a 2‑bedroom superior family room, but upon arrival were given a one‑bedroom unit with a sofa bed. After speaking to reception, we were told that no 2‑bedroom superior rooms were available. As it was late at night, the hotel offered us two standard interconnecting rooms instead. Unfortunately, these rooms were not properly cleaned and both showers had visible black mould, which was surprising given the hotel is only around two years old. The next morning, we spoke to Shreyas Prakash, who handled the situation exceptionally well. He upgraded us to two superior rooms with jacuzzis and sea views, and these rooms completely changed our experience. They were modern, spotless, spacious, and genuinely impressive — exactly what we expected when booking Mora. The hotel grounds themselves are beautiful. The reception area is stunning, and the resort features five pools, including a standout infinity pool overlooking Mnemba Island. The beach is picture‑perfect with white sand and turquoise water, although be aware of the hawkers who will approach once you cross the line towards the sea. Food at the hotel is a standard buffet, but with a wide selection and something for everyone. There are also two à la carte restaurants (Japanese and Brazilian), but you need to book early on the day as slots fill quickly. The hotel offers plenty of activities — spa, tennis, padel courts, a 5‑a‑side football pitch, and daily entertainment including aqua gym. The staff are the hotel’s greatest asset. Everyone we interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. Special thanks to Ziada at the pool bar, Michael and Abdallah in the restaurant, Hassan for aqua gym and bracelet making, and of course Shreyas for resolving our room issue professionally. Zanzibar itself is still developing — expect occasional power cuts and limited infrastructure (no supermarkets, etc.). But if you’re looking for relaxation, beaches, and incredible water, it’s absolutely worth a visit.
