The Mora Zanzibar

Had a wonderful stay at The Mora in Zanzibar as the beach portion of our Safari & Beach trip booked through Safari Soles. After a week of amazing but constantly on the move Safari on the Tanzania mainland, we finished out our trip at this beach resort and it was lovely! Everyone provided excellent service, especially Patric at the dinner buffet! The grounds were clean and well kept, the pools were not overcrowded and the food was amazing! We also had great massages at the onsite spa. Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing stay.

The teppanyaki was incredible, chef Jhun was very entertaining and the food was delicious :)

Fabulous service from Isack at the Beach Club

Such an amazing resort. The weather and beach were perfect, amazing food and facilities but the stand out was definitely the staff. We’ve never been anywhere with such wonderfully friendly and caring staff, always engaging and nothing was too much trouble. Huge thanks to the team at the Outliners kids club who treated our daughter Amelie like a princess, they were amazing. Would highly recommend

The place is really beautiful and a wonderful place to relax! But, I was met with familiarity because I could speak the local language Swahili so the respect levels came down very fast 🤮 one even said I look like their colleague and asked if we know each other! I am from Kenya so how would I know?? Meanwhile, the white guests got top tier treatment! At some point I had to pretend I don’t know Swahili to get better treatment and service and in many cases since it’s an all inclusive hotel I had to ask to be served by a different waiter if I sensed even a hint of disrespect! To make it worse every day at dinner different waiters would ask me if I am alone and if anyone is joining me? They never asked me this during breakfast or lunch or any other time during the day just dinner time! I quickly realized that they were assuming I am working girl 🤬I am just a corporate Kenyan babe who had come for some R&R time! This was such a disappointing and frustrating experience! SHAME ON YOU MORA! So be warned these people are racist and will treat white folks better infront of you, disrespect you because they think you are one of them if you can speak their local language and even worse as a solo female traveler yuck 🤮 And I highly doubt a white solo female traveler would get such treatment!
