The Mora Zanzibar

Our stay at The Mora Hotel exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything was simply perfect. The cleanliness, maintenance, and overall customer service were outstanding. Every detail was taken care of with great professionalism, making us feel comfortable, relaxed, and truly valued throughout our stay. A very special thank you goes to the entire Food & Beverage team, especially at Jikan Restaurant. Every member of the team was incredibly welcoming, attentive, professional, experienced, and genuinely customer-oriented. Their exceptional hospitality made every meal a wonderful experience. We would especially like to thank Caroline, Mr. Amanzi, Mr. Mino, and the hostess Sango. They are truly outstanding and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. Caroline is such a kind-hearted and caring person, always welcoming us with a warm smile. Mr. Amanzi and Mr. Mino were extremely professional, attentive, and dedicated, while Sango made us feel at home from the very first moment with her genuine friendliness and hospitality. They are all absolute stars – top, top, top! Their passion for hospitality and their exceptional service made us feel genuinely appreciated and cared for every single day. Chef Jhun at Teppanyaki was amazing! The food was delicious & fantastic showmanship…..whatever you do you MUST MUST do the tequila bomb 😀

We stayed at The Mora for 10 nights in July. The service provided by all the staff was exceptional. Ashok & Sagar are world class. They are always willing to help and looked after us very well. We are pure vegetarian and both Ashok & Sagar made sure we had a variety of vegetarian Indian food for breakfast, lunch & dinner. We cannot thank them enough for making us feel so welcome and at home. Ashok is a great leader of the Food & Beverages and makes sure all his staff and guests are well looked after. The service around the bar areas was exceptional. Sporah, Mercey and Zaida were always smiling and brought us delicious cocktails and snacks everyday. We love our masala chai and Aziza made this perfectly to our taste. Magreth was always smiling in the restaurant and so efficient in her work. The security guards, housekeeping, towel boys, gardeners are very friendly and so dedicated to making the resort safe and clean for all guests. The pools are clean and there is a great view of the sea from the infinity pool. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

A very enjoyable trip and we had a pleasant stay at The Mora. The cleanliness of the hotel is very good, the staff is very friendly and service is efficient. We particularly enjoyed the Teppenyaki Chef from the Phillipines who entertained us with humour while cooking a delicious meal. Thank you! The housekeeping staff and laundry staff need to be commended as well. The beach is beautiful however swimming at low tide is sometimes difficult. The boat trips for snorkelling and to visit the turtles was so memorable and wonderful. The guides were so helpful and kind to the kids and made it fun. Food and beverage options are fair considering this is a small island off Africa, I think those who judge too harshly should take this into account. The fresh red snapper at the Asian restaurant was wonderful. July was warm all the time however there is some wind and we had two days of dark clouds with some rain but the weather can change quickly. Asante Sana for a good time and happy memories.

What a fantastic stay. My husband, our 6-year-old son and I had the best time. From the all-inclusive dining with so many different options to the kids' club, which my son didn't want to leave, everything was wonderful. The staff were incredibly attentive and so friendly, always making sure we were comfortable wherever we were. The pools were refreshing, and oh, the bed. My husband usually complains about hotel beds, but I swear he thought this one was even better than our bed at home. It was like sleeping on a cloud. We really needed a relaxing break, and The Mora delivered on every front. Highly recommend!
