We came here for our honeymoon for 16 nights, and from the moment we arrived, we were blown away. The hotel is absolutely stunning, exceptionally clean, and the staff go above and beyond to ensure the hygiene and cleanliness of the hotel is maintained to a 5-star standard at all times. Dora, our room maid, was excellent. Our soaps were always topped up, toilet rolls replaced, fresh bedding provided, and, impressively, we had a different bed display every day! Dora greeted us every morning as we left our room/block, asking how we were, how we slept, and whether there was anything we needed. Dora, you set an incredible standard for Bahari Zanzibar. Thank you! There is so much choice when it comes to food. The Restaurant, where breakfast and the lunch and dinner buffets are served, is incredibly clean. Food is constantly replenished throughout service, and the drink service during dinner is perfect. The Green and Grill was our favourite place for lunch. Situated right on the beach, it was the perfect place to enjoy lunch in the shade. All of the waiting staff were brilliant, but for us, Helen (pictured) couldn’t have done any more for us. Helen served us at breakfast and lunch at the Green and Grill and was always such a friendly face. She asked how we were, how we had slept, remembered when we were going on our safari and to Stone Town, and would always ask us how our trips had been. By day two, she knew our drinks order off by heart! Helen, thank you for the last 16 days of incredible service. You are a real asset to this hotel — you are kind, caring, and anyone would be lucky to have you looking after them. As mentioned, we were on our honeymoon but never actually mentioned it to the staff. One evening, Ally from reception was speaking to us and asked how our honeymoon was going. We were both shocked and asked how he knew. He simply replied that he had been working for TUI for 11 years and “just knows”! That really sums up the level of customer service at this hotel. The reception team genuinely couldn’t do more for you. We rarely saw or spoke to our TUI rep, which was a shame, but honestly, the hotel staff and other TUI members more than made up for the lack of engagement. To be completely honest, a TUI rep isn’t really needed here with the level of support and service provided by the hotel and other TUI staff. Both pools and the surrounding areas are incredibly clean and tidy. Staff are constantly walking around, offering drinks and clearing empty glasses. Mwajuma, who works the pool service in the mornings and sometimes in the Shisha department in the evenings, was friendly, reliable and knew our orders off the top of her head from day two! Mwajuma was always friendly and polite. The pool boys, especially Asalum, work incredibly hard. They greet you with the biggest smile when collecting your towels. If you get the opportunity, do the reef walk with Asalum — it was brilliant! He is so knowledgeable about the reef and has such an infectious smile and personality that he genuinely just makes you happy. On our final day, we had a complimentary 30-minute couples spa treatment — thank you, Ally! Our therapists were brilliant. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we went back again that afternoon for another treatment each. Ruth was fantastic and gave exactly the level of pressure I wanted, checking throughout the treatment to make sure it was right. The security team around the beach and front gate also deserve a special mention. We have never felt safer. When we left at 4am for our safari, security checked us out of the site while we were in the taxi and then checked us back in when we returned, ensuring we were the same people who had left. On the beach, there are Masai who are harmless but can sometimes be quite persistent. Security regularly checks in and is always there if needed. This hotel is nothing short of pure bliss. The grounds are beautiful, but it is the staff who truly make this place special. The management are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful team. Please do not let the comments about power cuts put you off. They last no longer than a minute, and I promise you will make memories here that last a lifetime. We absolutely loved our 16 nights at Bahari Zanzibar and we will be back! Asante Sana 🖤💛💚

Loved our stay at the Blue Tui in Zanzibar The room was lovely and big and clean Facilities were varied and enjoyable I would say best staff member is- Upendo she was amazing, such a great staff member in the grill Food in all the restaurants was really good Cannot fault the service Just 2 things to improve- Don’t charge extortionate fees for early check in! Cappuccino machine in room please

The hotel is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a wonderful atmosphere. The food is excellent and varied, with something for everyone. We especially want to commend our waiter, Adam. He's very kind, helpful, and always makes sure guests feel comfortable. He also speaks Polish, English, and Swahili. His approach makes you feel truly safe and well-cared for. The hotel is right on the beach, which further creates an incredible atmosphere. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned daily, towels were changed, and mosquito repellent was sprayed in the evenings. There were various activities every day, both during the day and in the evening. We definitely recommend this place!
