TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar

As we are about to leave Zanzibar after two wonderful weeks at TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar, it genuinely feels like we are leaving our second home. Of course, this is a beautiful five-star hotel — stunning grounds, a beautiful beach and immaculate facilities. But what makes this place truly special, and what we will remember most, are the people. I have stayed in many five-star hotels, but the warmth, hard work and genuine care of the team here really stood out. The management, particularly the Food & Beverage team, are incredibly present and attentive. They constantly check that everything is exactly as it should be, and if something isn’t right, it is noticed and fixed immediately. That level of care is rare. The themed dinners were another highlight. Whether on the beach, by the pool or in the garden, it was amazing to watch the team completely transform a space within just a couple of hours, set up beautiful buffets and create such special evenings — and then, just as quickly, put everything back to normal. The amount of work behind the scenes is incredible. It is difficult to mention individuals because so many people made our stay special, but a few deserve a personal thank you: Helen, for our wonderful Swahili breakfast and especially for making my mum’s birthday so memorable. Marcus, for the fantastic drinks and always greeting us with the biggest smile. Courage, for always looking after us so well. Jacinta and Anna, who were absolute gems through our entire stay! Dickson and “Barack Obama”, who always made us smile. Rama, for a fantastic and very enjoyable cocktail-making class. Twahiir was always so attentive and helpful around the pool and beach, and we also really appreciated seeing the hotel’s inclusive approach to employing people with disabilities. Asubuhi — thank you for the amazing cocktails, including those made especially for us, and always with a huge smile. And a very special thank you to Rajiv, who was constantly checking in, always with a big smile and always looking for a way to help, solve a problem or make a wish happen. His team is incredible, and it shows. And last but certainly not least, a very special thank you to Ginger, our favorite furry member of the team, who clearly took his guest-relations duties very seriously! We will miss our very special furry friend dearly. These are only a few names from a much bigger team. To everyone in the restaurants, bars, pool, housekeeping, gardens, reception and management: we noticed how hard you work. A beautiful resort can give you a five-star holiday, but it takes people to make somewhere feel like home. TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar is a five-star hotel with 10+ star service — and that is because of its people. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Asante sana to the entire team and management for making these two weeks unforgettable. Our stay at TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and outstanding hospitality. The resort is a tropical paradise, with lush gardens, stunning beachfront views, and a perfect blend of traditional Zanzibari charm and modern luxury. The upgraded rooms that we got were immaculate, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, offering all the comforts one could wish for. The food was absolutely incredible, with a wide variety of fresh and flavorful dishes catering to all tastes. The themed dinners and live cooking stations were a special treat, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate dietary preferences. Yusuf from the Breeze restaurant was really amazing and super friendly. Not forgetting Ali from the blue team who was also really helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The resort offers plenty of activities, from relaxing by the pristine pools, live entertainment, and team volleyball. What truly set TUI BLUE Bahari apart was the attentive and friendly staff, who made us feel like VIPs throughout our stay. They anticipated our every need and added personal touches that made the experience unforgettable. Hamida from The Resturant was truly special. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and luxury, this is the place to be. We’re already planning our return trip!

A very heartfelt Asante Sane from us to all of the staff for making our holiday the best ever yet. For welcoming us warmly back into the “Bahari Blue” Family. Hassan, Rajiv and Christopher with their teams in the bar and restaurant. Kabaka and Tito and their team in the kitchen. Nelo and her team at the spa. Ally, Matride and Celestin, Tui Blue Guides The pool guys Housekeeping, maintenance, gardeners, laundry, front and back office and everyone else we may have missed mentioning. It is great for us to return and see so many familiar faces again. Every single member of staff met us daily with a smile and kind words. Great banter and some with really, really wicked senses of humor that you just have to laugh out loud. For us, everyone, in all departments deserve to be “The Employee of the Month” The service as always, amazing. The attention to detail in every aspect. No request any problem. A big thank you to Hassan and Rajiv for their special extras for us, the team for the beautiful decorated tables. The food! Varied as always, a lot of choices and to suit every palate. Where else can you try so many different dishes? The buffets at the Beach Dinner and Pool Dinner, always a culinary delight! The extra dishes specially prepared for us by Kabaka and Tito, always truly delicious and appreciated The spa and team! The spa is truly great. The massages, especially the hot stone massage, perhaps the best we had in a long time. Such young people but with a lot of strength in their hands. The housekeeping team that kept our room meticulously clean, taking and collecting our laundry for us. The behind the scenes tour on Monday is very enlightening. The laundry have a mammoth job daily, so few machines and sooooo much laundry. Respect! Also the kitchen tour, Hygiene is excellent. Patisserie and fresh breads daily, soo amazing! Great entertainment! Some new additions such as the quiz, which was fun! The bazaar set up at the beach dinners. This is genius. If some clients only stay for a few days they have there the perfect opportunity to buy souvenirs. Last, but not least, 100 x Asante sane! For the wonderful celebrations for my husbands 70th birthday. The words and hugs of congratulations, the singing, the presents, birthday cakes! We are truly blessed to have been surrounded by our Zanzibar family on this day. It was exceptionally special and will never be forgotten! Now back home, to very cold weather and already planning and very much looking forward to returning next year again Until then, we wish you all the very best of luck, good health and many, many happy and appreciative guests!

I rate the all inclusive offering, the amenities, our room and especially the staff an A+. Anyone looking for a resort based holiday will probably not get much better than this.

What a lovely hotel this is.small scale which i prefer.on the east coast so the sea is tidal,goes out bout half a mile.this is an excellent opportunity to walk out and see all the sea creatures.,sea urchins and star fish.you will get walked out with masai as soon as you set foot on the public beach in front of the hotel, they are so helpful will point out sea life and clear the way so you don't step on any poisonous ones.if you want to give them something for their trouble then do if not it doesn't matter entirely up to you.dont be afraid to speak to the locals they really are a friendly bunch.yes they will invite you to look at their shop but if you don't want too it really isn't a problem hakuna matata 😊. Go left on the beach there are some small local shops nice if you want to pick up a few gifts,you must haggle but they are a nice crowd. Rooms kept absolutely spotless,there is shampoo and body lotion and liquid soap in the room.tea and coffee facilities and these were kept topped up every day.mini fridge with beers and coke and Fanta,these are included also. There's an egg chair on every balcony to relax in. Plenty of towels in great condition,air con works well. There's 2 pools,the main pool that has aerobics most days but no loud music also a quiet pool with a bar too that's lovely. They do 2 special dinners on tuesday and thursday one on the beach where the masai come and put a show on,the other around the pool,this really is impressive as its a massive set up. There's a pool bar and also a snack bar really recommend the snack bar it does have a lovely menu till 14.30. The gardens are kept immaculate. Small shop on site also a small jewellers. Pool towels were always available as were sunloungers this isn't a get up early and put your towel on resort 😀 There is usually a power cut most days but really isn't an issue as the generator kicks straight in. The main restaurant has plenty of breakfast and dinner choice omelette station fried and poached eggs,fruit,cold cuts if you can't find anything you like I would be really surprised.the staff are so attentive,the one that stood out for me was rebecca.she serves in the restaurant and snack bar always greets you with a smile so friendly and helpful real credit to tui blue. Sam the tui rep was very knowledgeable too ,available every day. There's not too much outside the hotel just locals selling fruit and few other bits. Nice to do a few trips to venture out we did one day safari to makumi ,wow saw so much including the big 4 as makumi doesn't have the big 5 but highly reccomend for a day.catamaran day trip good for snorkeling as there isn't anything to see at the hotel beach.jojanzi forest to see the colobus monkeys and loved the spice farm too. Please don't miss the spa treat yourselves it was an amazing experience,great value too 160 dollars for a one hour couples massage,again the staff.are fabulous. Great holiday to a lovely hotel would definitely reccomend. Thank you to everyone at tui blue bahari.
