We have had an absolutely wonderful stay at TUI BLUE Zanzibar. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, and every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome. A special mention has to go to Sweetbert, who truly went above and beyond throughout our holiday. His warm personality, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he always greeted us with a smile, making us feel like valued guests. The hotel itself is beautiful, with stunning surroundings, delicious food, excellent facilities, and a relaxed atmosphere. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and organised, allowing us to completely unwind and enjoy our time in paradise. We would highly recommend TUI BLUE Zanzibar to anyone looking for a memorable holiday with outstanding customer service. Thank you to Sweetbert and the whole team for making our stay so special—we can't wait to return!

First off, it’s a long ride from the airport ! Part of the way the roads are under construction so it can be bumpy along the way. Arriving at the hotel, we were given cold towels and a cold drink which was appreciated. It took quite a while to check in which you don’t need after a long journey. Also, the TUI App did not work for us and we had to go to reception to book various restaurants. We were give our room key but it was clear that it was a long way from the main pool and dining area which we didn’t want. We were then given a nice room closer to pool etc. Our room was fine and had a nice patio area if you wanted to sit out late afternoon and watch the sun setting. There are two pools, one on the higher level closer to reception which is a lot quieter and a nice bar adjacent. The main pool is a nice size and obviously gets noisier as kids are enjoying their time there but it’s still a nice place to get a get a sun bed for the day and it’s close to the main buffet restaurant. There are also plenty of sunbeds on the sand area near the low level wall separating the hotel from the beach. Also, plenty of shaded areas under the very tall,palm trees.We didn’t go on the beach so can’t say anything about any vendors there. The main buffet restaurant was very good with plenty of choice and good and plentiful quality food for all tastes. The bar around the pool is the perfect place to have pre dinner and after dinner drink and service was always quick and served with a smile. Entertainment varied, but we did enjoy live bands and individual sax player but the dancers were a bit of a let down as they certainly need to improve their timings ! The beach dinner was a nice touch and we enjoyed being greeted by many Massai who were great fun. Be prepared to negotiate a lot of steep steps from the accommodation areas to the pool. Having said that, there is a buggy service that can take you down to the pool and back via a side service road which is a nice gesture and helps those with mobility issues. Finally, hotels depend on who they employ and I must congratulate all members of staff who provided excellent service from day one right through to our final day. Nothing was too much trouble for any request we made and we were always greeted with genuine smiling staff. I must mention our room attendant Dorah. She was a lovely lady and kept our room spotless and made lovely shapes for our bed which was a nice surprise. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here for couples and families as there is plenty of room to chill out and relax. Thanks to everyone for a lovely visit.

It grieves me to give a less than positive review as our experience at TUI Blue Bahari was almost entirely lovely. The rooms were clean, pool area and beach were lovely, food was amazing, and the staff just couldn’t do enough for you. Theu were brilliant. They also went out of their way to celebrate my birthday which I didn’t even tell them it was! It was a lovely surprise and really made our holiday special. The Masai show and beach dinner on a Saturday was so amazing, it was such a highlight! You can tell the hotel makes such an effort to give the guests good entertainment and experiences. All was nearlyyyyy perfect until our check out experience. We booked through TUI for the support of a holiday rep, despite our flights being offered through a different provider. Unfortunately, we woke up at 3am on departure day to find our flight had been moved from 8am, to 11:30pm. Our transfer was due at 4am. We went to reception straight away for ask for advice and they said they didn’t know what to do, to go back to our room and wait for the TUI rep to come in at 10am. They tried ringing her even though we didn’t ask them to and she didn’t answer. When we went to reception at 10am we were told she was late and to come back at 11am. We came back at 11am and spoke to the rep, Sam, she was incredibly rude and condescending from the beginning. She told us we should have got on the bus at 4am and every other guest did, and we were the only ones who didn’t and that we should have known to do that and there’s nothing she could do to help and we’d have to sort and pay for our own taxi. I said I can’t believe we were expected to go to the airport 15 hours before the flight leaves and she said well everyone else did. Then she made several complaints about us ‘waking her up’ and saying ‘she needs sleep too’. Absolutely agree! We never would have asked the staff to ring her. They called our room to tell us they’d done that after we got back! After I told her she was being rude, and after she made me cry in front of other hotel guests that were checking in which was very embarrassing, she did help book us a taxi at the front desk, which we had to pay $80 for, and told us to try and claim it back through TUI. The hotel staff let us stay and use the all inclusive for the rest of the day and the departure room which was nice of them. But Sam ruined our whole experience to be honest. Like I said, we booked through TUI to have support in a country we’d never visited before, and when we needed it, the app wasn’t working, phone lines I couldn’t accessed because I had no signal in another continent, and the staff couldn’t understand me when I asked to use the phone… and the rep, well she was just horrible. I would have absolutely recommended this hotel if not for Sam and the check out experience on our last day. But sadly, her speaking to us like absolute garbage really put a dampener on our trip. A few other things to note: - There’s always a member of staff in the women’s toilets, usually male. It means they’re nice and clean but you don’t get much privacy. - People do reserve sunbeds from around 7:30. - You’ll get harassed by people on the beach so just be conscious of that. Other than that, thank you to the staff for being really lovely and brilliant xx

A beautiful hotel, everything was perfect - scenery, pool, activities and restaurants. But what made our holiday was the staff, who were outstanding and so friendly. In particular Jovin from the bar, who made our stay so special making us wonderful cocktails every day. Helen from the restaurant was also brilliant. Highly recommend this hotel and its wonderful staff.
