Meneghetti Wine Hotel & Winery

We had a wonderful 11 day stay at Meneghetti. All the staff looked after us beautifully. The hotel vineyard surroundings make for a peaceful pretty setting. The standard of the breakfasts and dinner was very high including the service. The Beach Club is beautiful too. We very much enjoyed the wines (all of an excellent standard) and the Meneghetti rose sparkling was to die for! Our pool was always kept clean and was a delight to sit near in our garden. We had plenty of sunshine and some shade for the hotter hours. Only thing to be aware of is if you’re not hiring a car, taxi costs can get very high if you want a change of scene for dinner and to discover the beautiful historic towns that are nearby. I feel thoroughly rested and full of praise for Meneghetti.

Had a wonderful stay - a main highlight of our Croatian trip. A place where we could truly relax and enjoy the stunning location. The service was outstanding and the staff were always helpful and friendly. Our room was a very good size and comfortable and always clean. The grounds were beautiful and we particularly loved the hotel's beach club and the winery. A highlight was a booked one hour wine tour and tasting. Many thanks to Ivana, our guide, who was very knowledgeable, friendly and clearly loved sharing her passion for wines and wine production. The food was also delicious and beautifully presented. A place that was hard to leave. We definitely plan to return at some point in the future.

Few places make you feel so connected to where your food and wine come from. Walking through the vineyards, olive groves and extensive gardens and then enjoying produce grown on the estate on your plate. That kind of authenticity is incredibly rare. What will stay with me just as much are the people. The concierge was always eager to help and there was warmth and happiness throughout the property that felt completely natural and sincere. A beautiful place, but even more importantly a beautiful spirit.

We stayed at Meneghetti for two nights during our tour of Istria, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Set among vineyards and olive groves, the property is beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably maintained. Because we booked at the last minute, we stayed in two different rooms as the hotel was fully booked. Hotel Manager Nenad personally assisted with our booking and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room in the main building was comfortable and quiet, while the residence with a pool where we spent our second night was lovely. We dined in both restaurants, enjoyed the changing menus, and were impressed by the quality of the food and service. The staff were professional and friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. We also enjoyed the bicycles, beach area, and the hotel’s beach club. The hotel is pet-friendly, the wines were excellent, and the staff’s recommendations were spot on. While Meneghetti is certainly premium-priced, the quality of the accommodation, food, wine, and service justifies the cost. We highly recommend it for anyone seeking a relaxing, luxurious getaway in Istria.
