Valamar Parentino Hotel

We stayed at the Valamar Parentino Hotel for a five-day break, and the first thing that stood out was the staff. They were exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. We have stayed in many hotels around the world across a wide range of price points, and this was genuinely some of the best service we have experienced. Nothing was ever too much trouble. There were six of us, and we booked adjoining rooms on the top floor, including the penthouse accommodation. The rooms were spacious, clean and very well suited to our group. We stayed on a half-board basis, with breakfast and dinner included. I am not normally a big fan of buffet dining, as the quality can sometimes be disappointing, but the food here was very good, with plenty of choice and a consistently high standard. The hotel facilities were excellent. The pools, entertainment, restaurants and pool bars were all very well run, clean and professionally managed. The beach is right on the doorstep, and there is also an on-site bike hire facility. We rented e-bikes for the day and had a fantastic time cycling along the coast. The location is another major advantage. Poreč old town is only around a 10-minute walk away, with plenty to see, do and explore. There is also a supermarket just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, which is very convenient. The only downside was the air conditioning. The hotel clearly takes energy efficiency seriously, which is positive, but the rooms could have been cooler. After coming inside from the heat, it took quite a while to feel comfortable, and the air conditioning would benefit from being more powerful. That small issue aside, we had an excellent stay. The hotel was clean, well organised and packed with facilities, but it was the outstanding staff who made the biggest impression. We would happily return and would highly recommend the Valamar Parentino Hotel.

We are currently staying at the Parentino Valamar Hotel. We booked this holiday a year ago and were really excited to visit after reading so many great reviews. The hotel itself is lovely, and the facilities have everything you could need. Unfortunately, the biggest downside has been our room. For any hotel, the room is one of the most important parts of the stay, and ours has really let the experience down. We were allocated Room 237, right next to reception. The amount of noise we could hear every night was unbelievable, making it very difficult to relax or sleep. To make matters worse, we arrived at 11:30pm after travelling with our one-year-old. We had requested a cot when booking, but when we entered the room there was no cot. When I called reception, I was told there was nothing they could do until 7am the following morning, meaning our child had to go without a cot on the first night. I also asked if we could move rooms because of the noise, but was told there were no rooms available for another four days and that there was nothing they could do. I even contacted Jet2's 24-hour helpline, but they were unable to help and said the representative would call me. Unfortunately, the representative called the wrong number, so I never got the chance to speak with them. After four days, reception finally offered us another room. However, it wasn't any quieter, so we decided not to move. I then asked whether they could offer a late check-out as a goodwill gesture for the inconvenience we had experienced, but was told the manager was unable to approve this. It's such a shame because the rest of the hotel is genuinely very good. The facilities, food and overall atmosphere are excellent, but the poor room location, the missing cot on arrival and the lack of flexibility from management have unfortunately had a significant impact on what we had hoped would be a fantastic holiday.

We had a fantastic stay at Valamar Parentino Hotel and would highly recommend it. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable and well maintained, making it a great place to relax after a busy day. The pool facilities were excellent, especially for children, with plenty to keep them entertained. The breakfast and dinner buffet exceeded our expectations – there was an incredible variety of fresh, delicious food every day, with something to suit everyone. Location was excellent too with a short walk to old town and very near to the beach with lots of restaurants nearby. What really made our stay special was the staff. Every member of staff we met was friendly, polite and exceptionally professional. They genuinely went out of their way to make guests feel welcome. During our stay, my son unfortunately suffered a severe allergic reaction. The hotel staff on duty went above and beyond to help us, immediately calling the paramedics and providing support throughout a very frightening situation. One member of staff in particular (I’m so sorry I didn’t catch his name) ran up seven flights of stairs so that I could speak to the emergency services as quickly as possible. His kindness, urgency and dedication were truly remarkable, and we will always be grateful for everything he and the rest of the team did for us. Thank you to everyone at Valamar Parentino Hotel for making our holiday so memorable. We will definitely be returning.

Amazing staff, beaches and food

We stayed at Parentino Hotel with our family and had an excellent experience. The location is fantastic - right in the center and super convenient for everything. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The only thing to note is that they mostly speak English, which was fine for us. Overall, great value for a family trip. We would definitely come back. Special shoutout to Petra from the Maro Club. She was fantastic with the kids - they loved her and said she played with them so nicely. It would be great if she’s here again next year.
