Valamar Parentino Hotel

An amazing stay in beautiful Porec at the wonderful Valamar Parentino. From the warm welcome from reception on checking in, the excellent staff at breakfast, the hard working cleaning staff to the team behind excursions every member of staff made our holiday so memorable. The family room we had was so well organised utilising space so well. The wonderful swimming pools including slides. The private beach with access to the lovely Adriatic. That amazing choice at breakfast, just unbelievable. Hope to come back very soon. Thank you.

Wonderful experience - lovely clean facilities. Lots to do for children. Excellent food on offer. Yoga sessions were pitched well and relaxing. All staff were warm and welcoming.

Amazing staff who couldn’t do enough for you. They all worked so hard to make our holiday as easy and enjoyable as possible. Pools are great, the kids loved the slides and very comfortable rooms, a great family hotel. Our two waiters Ivona and Petar were particularly noteworthy, a real asset to the hotel.

Amazing staff, good food lovely location as a whole for the family amazing and well worth the money.

So I will start with the good (and there are lots outweighing the negatives)….The hotel is in a brilliant location, only 15 mins walk to the old town but also pretty central in amongst lots of little beaches. The hotel itself was very clean and staff friendly. The food was fantastic varied each day for dinner (the soups at dinner and omelettes at breakfast were amazing!). Pools were very clean and water a really good temperature for the children and the water slides were good fun. The hotel also has a really nice chill out garden which unfortunately we only discovered on our last couple of days. Kids entertainment was okay but could have been a little bit more aimed for the bigger kids of a night time (the smaller kids seemed to be really enjoying themselves though). However, there are several areas that do need improving. Firstly we saw so many children slip next to the slides. Simply all it needs is a plastic mat laid down to prevent someone getting hurt. Most hotels we stay in with slides have these now. It really shouldn’t cost much. The hotel also needs to review the glass being used within the restaurant as it is too weak for repeated use. We saw glass broken in the deserts which my son luckily spotted and I also had a cracked glass with drink in. This needs an urgent review. My son also found a screw on the floor in the children’s area (which was probably just bad luck but shouldn’t really be happening). As mentioned the food was very good but the restaurant feels very chaotic and not spacious enough. When walking back to the table it felt like trying to navigate through a mine field with all the people in a relatively small area. Lastly, if you are going to advertise that guests can use the neighbouring hotels children's park then it needs to be that they have access. We got stuck both inside the park and outside along with other guests which was quite embarrassing as it brought attention that we were not actually staying there. Overall however a very nice stay and these are not complaints but more recommendations in areas that I feel could improve others stays going forwards and despite the negatives would 100% recommend to others!
