Avila Beach Hotel

We stayed in room 290 ocean view blue wing. Hotel is gorgeous the beaches pristine and staff super friendly. We had an amazing a relaxed vacation will be back. One of the most relaxing trips ever loved Avila!

The hotel made a very nice first impression. The reception staff was friendly, the welcome drink was very tasty, and the bell captain was helpful. The room cleaning crew was also friendly, and both the room and hallways were clean. However, upon arrival, we did not find even a small 200 ml bottle of drinking water in the room, which was disappointing. We ordered food from the hotel restaurant to the beach almost every day. Delivery usually did not take long, but the execution was often careless. One time they brought the food without forks or napkins. Another time they mixed up the smoothies and brought strawberry instead of mango. There was no one to call, so I had to walk from the beach to the restaurant under the hot sun to get forks and napkins myself, and also to bring the wrong drink back for exchange. Beach towels are issued only one per card. Unfortunately, the beach was very windy, and it would have been much more comfortable to have two towels per person — one to lie on and one to cover yourself with while resting. The bedding sheets were perfectly clean, which I appreciated. However, the towels in the room were scratchy and had an unpleasant smell, almost like badly rinsed laundry. Unfortunately, there were no slippers or bathrobes in the room. When I asked why, one staff member replied that guests come only for a few days and still take them. Honestly, I found that answer strange. Slippers are usually one-time-use consumables and should be included in the room price, just like soap or toilet paper. Overall, the staff was pleasant and the hotel was clean, but the lack of basic room amenities, careless beach food service, limited beach towel policy, and towel quality were disappointing.

We spent 8 nights at the Avila in a two bedroom beach front studio. The rooms very very nice, clean and quiet. The sea view was breathtaking. From beginning of our stay until our check-out, we met highly motivated and very friendly staff members, especially Carina was always so welcoming at the breakfast. Speaking of which: The breakfast buffet offered everything one could ask for. To add, the lunch and dinner menu provided a lot of options. The food quality was always top notch. Given the hotel's great beaches, we spent many hours enjoying the warm waters snorkeling at the two private beaches of the hotel. The hotel is located 20 minutes in walking distance to the city center, which was great. On very hot days, take the hotel's free city shuttle service to and back from the city center. We will certainly go back to this wonderful place!

If you're looking for someone who is very helpful, someone you can be sure will get everything done, a man who always serves you with a big smile... then Clyde is the man you're looking for. A very friendly person, extremely helpful, and a person with a very warm heart.

The hotel and beaches are even more beautiful than the pictures! All of the staff are kind and helpful. We had a wonderful anniversary vacation! Shout out to Clyde, Lakysha and Yuninho for a great time at Caribbean Blues!
