Avila Beach Hotel

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience at Avila Beach Hotel, and bartender Clyde was a big reason why. We were lucky enough to be served by him multiple days during our stay, and every single time he made us feel welcome, taken care of, and appreciated. Clyde was friendly, patient, generous, and just genuinely great at what he does. He went above and beyond for us, and his service honestly became one of the highlights of our trip. 1People like Clyde are what make you want to come back to a place. We will definitely remember the hospitality he showed us, and he absolutely deserves recognition for it.

We moved to this beautiful and historic hotel during the middle of our stay in Curacao. It is the oldest operational hotel on the island, according to its website, and being a history buff, I was fascinated by the numerous photos on the wall behind the check-in desk as soon we entered the lobby. The check-in process was smooth and seamless, and we were soon admiring the ocean view from our balcony. The resort features 2 beautiful beaches and a very large pool. It also has a hot tub that can be hard to find but worth the effort. There are some good on-site restaurants and also some very good off-site ones that are within walking distance of the hotel. We had no problem finding beach chairs during our stay and there are at least two bars near the beach. The hotel also has a museum dedicated to the island's connection to Simon Bolivar, which we were able to see by asking a staff member for access. Though small, it is packed full of interesting artifacts and photos. My only gripe is that the hotel did not have any wash cloths as the resort we were in at the start of our visit to Curacao did have them.

The service given for the brunch event celebration was awesome. Nyomi maduro is patience and serviceable Edmund is so nice is given the service Rebecca is attentive Angel is so nice to treat with and is fast arranging the things Everything was nicely done and the brunch was super nice and good.

Perfect location with an authentic Caribbean vibe. The hotel features two wonderful private beaches and two excellent restaurants. Staff member Luz Elena warmly welcomes all guests with a big smile at the entrance of the Blues Restaurant. A special and well-deserved mention also goes to Clyde, who is exceptionally customer-focused and oversees everything flawlessly. Constantly moving from left to right to make sure everything runs smoothly, he never loses sight of the guests’ needs. We will certainly return to this lovely hotel!

My wife and I had an amazing experience. The staff was extremely helpful and made you feel at home. Clyde was exceptional. He gave advice on things to do around town and made everything very convenient on multiple occasions. I wish I could remember the names and mention every staff member. They were all very helpful.
