Avila Beach Hotel

Very recommended ! Visited with a day pass for the beach. Good atmosphere. And super service from Shayron

This is the second time at this resort and it is spectacular. The rooms are quiet, clean and recently renovated. The food was excellent and the wait staff are friendly (and know multiple languages). There are plenty of beach chairs and a lot of areas with sun protection. The swimming areas are protected by a sea wall that still allow you access to the rest of the ocean. The free shuttle into town is nice and it is close enough to town to walk (about 15 - 20 minutes). The front desk will assist you with anything you need. The only thing they don't have onsite is a cash machine which is not a big deal since everything is cashless and you can charge your meals and drinks to your room. The rooms have a large interactive tv that allows you to look at your bill in real-time. We are planning to return next year!

I can’t say enough about the Avila Beach Hotel. If you are looking for a wonderful experience to refresh and relax before going out for some adventure, it’s first rate. The staff is an incredible. All of them are so welcoming and made the hotel a unique experience.

Our stay at Avila Beach was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Panoramic Suite and it was truly incredible—spotless, spacious, thoughtfully designed, and the views were simply breathtaking. Waking up to the ocean every morning was such a highlight of the trip. The entire resort is beautiful and very well maintained, and the front desk staff was always responsive, friendly, and helpful whenever we needed anything. It’s the kind of place that instantly makes you feel relaxed. If we had one small suggestion, it would be for the resort to provide a bit more information about the amenities and how everything works—maybe a simple map or quick guide at check-in. For example, it took us a couple of days to realize we could scan a QR code to order food directly to the beach, which was amazing and so convenient! We just wish we had known about it sooner. We also would have loved the option of breakfast room service or a little more guidance on ordering takeout from the restaurants on property. One other small note: the towel attendants only allow one towel at a time, which can be a little inconvenient when heading to the beach or pool. That said, these are very minor suggestions. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and couldn’t have been happier with the resort. We would return in a heartbeat and hope to be back again soon!

Relaxing stay, very quiet and not a party vibe which is what we wanted. Overall older crowdqt a small resort. Liked that it wasn't an all inclusive so we had flexibility to eat at various restaurants at the resort and around the area. Could walk to downtown (20 min) but would be a very hot walk, so we didn't do that. Taxi service was about $5/pp. Smaller man made beach with a lagoon made for easy snorkeling. Appreciated that we did not have to fight for beach chairs in the shade - there were plenty - even though the resort offers day passes to non-hotel visitors (they limit those). Renovated room in Blues wing was awesome (balcony too hot to sit outside in the evening but was nice after the sun went down). Beds and pillows were the best we've experienced anywhere which is what makes or breaks a stay for me. Staff was overall very friendly and accommodating.
