LionsDive Beach Resort

Great atmosphere! Very accommodating and quick to resolve any issues. All 3 of our rooms were comfortable with great views. The resort is a lot bigger than I originally thought. We didn’t find the Piazza for the first few days, it’s tucked away near the lap pool that we also hadn’t noticed. The bars are a lot of fun, just remember cash for tip! I loved that they provided each room with a beach bag and reusable water bottles. Also, reef safe sunscreen is located near the beach towel pick up. I thought there was a playground but we never found one. The snorkeling is amazing and it’s such a safe area for the kids to swim and snorkel without the push and pull of waves.

Great stay! Good rooms, very comfy beds & sheets. Rooms being cleaned daily. Resort is great! Food is great! We’ll come back for sure!

Fast, friendly check-in but when we got to our Deluxe Ocean View room, we were looking down at a construction site. Yes, we also had a great view of the marina with the ocean in the distance but once construction noise started at 9 am, the balcony was too noisy to enjoy. The room was updated and spacious. Coffee pods were unique brand and absolutely wonderful. Fridge is really tiny. There was no top sheet on bed, just a duvet which was too warm unless you really cranked the A/C so we got one from housekeeping. Beach and water entry had many stones and bits of coral so need to tread carefully. Snorkelling was amazing. Water clarity was perfect, lagoon was fairly calm and the quantity and variety of fish was mind-blowing, especially when someone was feeding them from above. Imagine being surrounded by at least 50 fish within 4 feet. Plenty of palapas for shade but you need to put your stuff down before 8 am or you will be stuck frying in the sun. We had a coupon for a free buffet breakfast at Hemingway and while there was a decent variety, food was not hot and not particularly flavourful, except for the smoked salmon. Happy hour at Chill on Sunday was great, half price beer and the local Brasa beer is similar to Corona. Happy hour on the weekday was overcrowded, 10 deep at the bar so not worth it. We read the reviews on the resort restaurants and decided to stick to Mambo Beach, Boca and Greenhouse were our faves. Definitely worth the walk across the street to Reefs Cafe for delicious takeout. Free shuttle to grocery store and downtown was very convenient. The resort was full but no issues. Many kids at the family pool so we stayed at the beach.

Our second trip to Lions Dive Curacao in the last two years. Loved the hospitality, diving and beautiful Caribbean waters, reefs and beaches. Family friendly but suitable for adults who want live it up and party. Special shout out to Kimberly and Eldrich at the front desk who made the check in and out process very easy and relaxing.
