LionsDive Beach Resort

I came to Curaçao to celebrate a birthday and was really looking forward to relaxing. Unfortunately, my stay at LionsDive Beach Resort was one of the most disappointing vacation experiences I've had. The resort houses and feeds wild cats right on the property, so they're everywhere. They walked the paths, sat by the pool, and waited outside my room for food every time I opened the door. Not everyone is comfortable around animals, and I found it unsanitary and very uncomfortable. I couldn't enjoy the pool or common areas and didn't want to leave my room. When I raised this with management, I was told the cats are kept on site because there are mice on the property, and that guests are warned in the welcome email and on the website. They couldn't show me that email, and when I checked both my inbox and their website myself, I found no mention of it. So now I'm left with a property that has both a cat problem and, by management's own explanation, a mouse problem, with neither disclosed upfront. If you're not comfortable around cats, or rodents, ask LionsDive directly before booking or choose somewhere else. The island is beautiful and deserves better. It would have been a 5. No large mirror for the wife. The beach was awesome. The spa was excellent for massage( Michelle). The beach resort food was ok. The breakfast buffet was the favorite. The room was great and Ryan at Hemmingway was awesome. We will be back.

The lions dive resort was beautiful and the staff was amazing. They were so attentive and always offered a warm smile.

While the hotel property itself is still wonderful, the restaurants need to be able to serve customers efficiently at Hemingway and the food at Chill needs to taste good. Piazza is a nice and yummy place to eat. The spa needs a therapist who know how to perform the offerings or they need a new massage therapist.

This was our 2nd visit to Lions Dive. We returned because they have a great location, the rooms are great (we had ocean front) and cleaned daily. And the staff - bar none the friendliest group of folks - always eager to ensure our stay was going great. It's close to other amenities and they offer shuttles daily into town or to grocery stores. The beach is quiet, and there are 2 pools if that's your thing.
