Thriller food is good and the viel at the pool als good thanks so much

When you arrive at the hotel, had to wait 30 minutes for check in as it takes time for staff to process your passports etc. Arrived before midnight, they have some late dinner til midnight, this is good as a service. We were sent downstairs from reception to get a drink whilst we waited as we had been travelling almost 11 hours by this point. I had 2 rooms as the rooms cannot handle more than 4 people, then you require either adjoining rooms or separate rooms which I had. You are taken by Golf cart to the room and luggage carried up to the room. We were on the 2nd floor so it was quite difficult to carry the suitcases up the stairs but staff helped. During the stay I had often problems with my keys, as I was about to talk to the Reception, one of the guest relations called Ella jumped in front of me to get a task done, totally ignoring that I was standing there trying to get my key fixed. She didnt care that I was waiting to be taken care of. The rooms were quite modern but sometimes its showing wear on the rooms even though its only been in their hands 1 1/2 years. The beds were good, the shower pressure was good and every day fresh bottles of water, but each room either had 1 bottle of Coke or 1 bottle of Sprite, not both. The staff that cleaned the room actually got irritated that I was still in the room at a certain time as they wanted to clean it. Food: The hotel has 6 restaurants, and 2 pool snack bars from 12.30pm. I tried all 6, the main one I went to was East West and Alfredo. The Sila Ali I think it was called was mainly Arab style food, the East West was mainly Asian orientated. The Sila Ali closed at 10 for breakfast, so you had to go to Alfredo which was open til 11. When we arrived we received none of this information, you had to figure this out from the App which you install. The food is mainly almost the same every day, duck, chicken and Beef with the same variations such as tagine daily. Omlette bar is always full, but was tasty. Be aware as a European they do not have anything pork orientated so breakfast meats arent the same and neither is their hot dogs which to be honest were poor in quality. The steak restaurtant you can book once a week, the app does not accommodate anything about 4 people so you had to go to Guest Relations to get it booked. The food was good for Egyptian foods, did end up with stomach problems after eating not fully cooked through Chicken. The pool restaurant was always the same, pizza pasta, burgers, one day chicken nuggets, next fish nuggets but you had to tell the difference which it wasnt labelled. Service: The staff at the reception area are overwhelmed, their processes are poor so it just looks absolutely chaotic. Below reception is a coffee area, the coffee was ok but not great, it was a hit or miss if it was cold. The waiters are literally waiting for you to take your last bite off the plate and immediately rush to remove it while you are still chewing. Trying to find a place in Alfredo or Sila Ali is awful, especially at breakfast time. You are almost fighting to get a spot and if you cant find it, you are sent to the other restaurant. The moment you show any dissatisfaction they are almost on top of you as the manager, is everything ok and you feel bad for feeling irritated as something. There are staff that really work themselves to the bone daily, the bar staff at the pool and running around the pool on a daily basis in 40c. The lifeguards start at 7am til 7pm. The Entertainment team This is probably the worst entertainment team I have ever seen in visiting Egypt. First experience was the olympics which they did, they actually drew a bikini on a child under 12. They are constantly taking pictures and sending back to their company to be used on their social media WITHOUT permission of parents or anyone. We had 3 pool parties. They tried a foam party with the pink party, the foam machine barely threw out any foam. After 30 minutes they shut down that pool and foam machine and moved to a different pool. They had a party in the main pool with blow up pieces but that was finished after 30 minutes, there was no flow to things. The entertainment team were not good, they couldnt capture people to do things and to be honest failed to capture my familys interest in activities. The singers were truly awful, 3 solo artists, one lady who just couldnt sing. The Queen of the hotel or lady of the hotel Im unsure what its called was probably the worst. They had activities for 4 women from 4 countries. In the end it was given to the audience to vote on the winner. As the majority of the people staying at the hotel were from an Arab country, it was obvious they were going to win which she did. I did ask if this hotel was orientated towards the Arab world, rather than European, the answer was it is orientated towards all, which is untrue as at least 75% were from an Arab country. The staff serviced mainly the Arabs first then the Europeans, to be honest it was an ok stay, but not spectacular. Probably the first and last time I will visit this hotel. Last comment, if you are at the main pool as the life guards for a Dont disturb and they will provide you with one so those who want to sell from the Spa or Diving etc wont disturb you! This was a life saver!

Super clean hotel with excellent service. Room mega clean. Food a dream and the service on the beach excellent. (Mustafa best man;-)) Very good management with very good employees. (Ali Maher;-)) We would always come back. So far by far the best hotel in Makadi Bay!!!
