Ancient Sands Golf Resort

We had the pleasure of staying in a villa with a private pool. The villa was very spacious and spread over two floors, with a beautiful high-ceilinged living room, two large bedrooms and two spacious bathrooms. There was air conditioning throughout the entire villa. We also had a huge terrace and a pool with a beautiful view of the golf course and the lagoon. The housekeeping team was fantastic, and we were provided with fresh water every time they cleaned the villa. The hotel itself has been designed with great attention to detail. It is intimate, beautifully lit at night, green and has a wonderful atmosphere. Food was available practically all the time and was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all fresh, with a huge variety of options. Nothing ever ran out, and everything tasted amazing. The themed dinner nights were simply incredible. The transportation to the beach was very well organised. The beach itself was also intimate and clean, with plenty of space, large umbrellas and fantastic service. :) The surrounding area is beautiful, clean and safe. Quiet neighbourhood. Truly a special place. A big plus is the hotel app, where you can find all the information you need, including opening hours and the menus for every restaurant and bar. Excellent value for money. But the biggest thank you goes to the staff — such lovely, friendly, smiling and genuinely helpful people. They were always happy to help without even being asked, and nothing was ever a problem. It truly felt like nothing was impossible for them! A huge thank you to the chefs for the delicious food, the waiters for their incredibly fast service, the bartenders for the amazing drinks, the drivers for the quick transfers, the housekeeping team for keeping the villa spotless, and a very special thank you to the reception team for being available 24/7, organising a wonderful birthday surprise and arranging fresh meals for us at 1 and 3 a.m. :) There is honestly nothing I could complain about. Everything was perfect, and we were absolutely delighted that we chose this hotel for our holiday. It was a wonderful experience! ❤️

I have stayed with my family in the hotel and it was a beautiful experience ! We stayed at a 3 bedroom apartment it was very clean, tidy and equipped was all the things you might need in your vacation and the view from the terrace was amazing, the hotel itself is very calm and good for relaxing. The beach isn’t far from the hotel and there is a shuttle bus every hour to take you there and the beach itself has a bar where you can have snacks, drinks and get your beach towels, as for the pool the hotel has many of them and the main one has a bar where you can enjoy a drink after swimming 🏊‍♂️ As for the food it was probably the best part of the stay, the main restaurant buffet offers a wide selection of delicious food, desserts and drinks! Don’t forget to grab a drink at the mint bar and enjoy the animation team show after the dinner. Overall it was a great experience and a beautiful vacation and definitely we will return once again to this unforgettable hotel… and i want to personally thank some of the amazing staff of the hotel from miss Martha and mister Khaled at the reception to chef Ahmed Abdel Azim, chef Ahmed Abo el Maaref, chef Andrew (and all the kitchen staff) mr Kamal, mr Hany, miss Dina (and all the restaurant staff) and mr Mina and mr Samuel (and all the bar staff… truly the staff felt like a family rather than hotel staff which is a very good point in this hotel… i highly recommend Ancient Sands ❤️ Best regards,

Lovely from the get go . We arrived around 10pm on our first day due to our flight and staff were so welcoming and saved us some dinner. We were given free room upgrades and shown how to work the genie app by Karim which became very useful for asking quick questions or requesting things for our room . We used the main pool with the pool bar it had a relaxing atmosphere but also had some entertainment and music played . Mohammed the lifeguard was brilliant always there to help. Entertainment was ok . We noticed it was darts everyday around the pool which was getting boring when you expected it . On an evening there was a variety whether it would be a live singer , a circus group , dance group or hotel tombola or mr/ miss hotel competition. Facilities are good too there is free WiFi in public areas and the rooms , a convenience store on site as well as a bag shop where they sell clothes and watches . Cleaners for our room were very nice always left bottles of water and quick in what they do. We used the spa for a Turkish hammam and we had the lovely Sofia take care of us . She didn’t speak much English but she tried her best to make conversation with us and better our experience. For food options at the hotel you have the main restaurant above reception, piazza and crumbs cafe . We preferred the main restaurant however we didn’t have chance to go into the crumbs cafe. We used piazza for lunch twice and didn’t like it due to limited options , not keen on food and found the main restaurant staff to be more friendly, however we did use it once for dinner on the evening at liked the food menu then. In the main restaurant we found that it was the same foods throughout our stay over and over again but the food was a decent standard. Due to this we tended to eat out downtown for dinner. Bar drinks had a mixed opinion for my family , some of us enjoyed the drinks and could get a buzz whereas others drinking beer or whisky couldn’t so it depends on preference for yourselves . Bar staff were so attentive and friendly apprentice Samuel , Magdy and Meena were phenomenal! Your wish is their command so friendly and polite couldn’t have asked for better bar men . Location of the hotel is great , you can ask reception for a tuk tuk to take you downtown where there is plenty of shops and restaurants or to the marina where it is the same plenty of shops and restaurants . It’s easier to get a tuk tuk back from downtown of a night whereas it was difficult at the marina. Overall very nice hotel I would definitely recommend. The staff make the atmosphere and experience for it all.
