We had an enjoyable stay overall, although there are several points that future guests should be aware of. The hotel is beautiful, and we particularly appreciated the adults-only areas. Our room was spacious but felt quite dated, especially the bathroom, which clearly needs renovation and is not up to the standard expected from a five-star hotel. The soundproofing could also be improved. As this is a family-oriented hotel, it can become quite noisy, particularly with children and teenagers. The Wi-Fi is free, and coverage is generally good throughout the hotel. However, the speed varies considerably depending on the time of day, and the connection can sometimes be unstable. The service was generally very good. The waiters were friendly, attentive, and professional, especially the beach team and the staff at the Italian restaurant, who deserve a special mention. The Italian restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay. The main buffet can become extremely crowded at peak times. Unfortunately, some guests were impatient and regularly pushed ahead in the queues. At times, we also felt that guests who spoke directly to staff in Arabic were served more quickly, which created an uncomfortable impression of unequal treatment. To enjoy a calmer and more pleasant dining experience, we strongly recommend choosing the à la carte restaurants whenever possible. Regarding the food, do not expect European-style cuisine. The dishes are mainly local, but the overall quality is good. We appreciated the variety of restaurants included in the all-inclusive package, with the exception of the Japanese restaurant. Entertainment is one of the hotel’s strongest points. There are plenty of activities and shows for children. The gym is also very good, and the coach is highly professional. However, access is restricted to guests aged 18 and over. It would be great if the hotel organised fitness classes or weekly challenges to make even better use of these facilities. The water park is a major advantage for families. The hotel also offers activities such as horse riding, quad biking, and snorkelling. Unfortunately, the prices are extremely high and, in our opinion, greatly exaggerated. This was probably the most disappointing aspect of the hotel: we often felt that we were constantly being charged extra. For example, during the quad excursion, drinks were not included and cost $5 each. For a large family, this quickly becomes very expensive. Even with an all-inclusive package, freshly squeezed orange juice costs an additional $2. These repeated extra charges make the “all-inclusive” concept feel rather limited. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel, its beautiful grounds, the adults-only areas, the choice of restaurants, the water park, and the excellent entertainment. However, the rooms and bathrooms need renovation, the soundproofing and Wi-Fi stability should be improved, service at the buffet should be managed more fairly, and the hotel should seriously review the excessive prices of its activities and additional services.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Italian and Chinese à la carte restaurants at Mövenpick Waterpark Resort & Spa Soma Bay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food was delicious, fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Both restaurants offered an excellent dining experience, with a lovely atmosphere and attention to every detail. What impressed us the most, however, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, professional, and always smiling. The service was truly exceptional and made us feel very welcome and special. A big thank you to the entire team for making our evenings so enjoyable! ❤️ We highly recommend both restaurants and will definitely come back. A truly 5-star dining experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
