Before flying out I asked lots of people about what currency to take. We ended up taking Sterling It was no issue at all to use (as well as my credit card). The hotel has a company at night who do rides in the pool on bumper cars as well as the inflatable balls kids can go in on the water and they prefer Euros. We offered them GBP, but they were a rip off so decided against it in the end. £10 for 2 kids for 2 mins…. The hotel itself is lovely. They keep it very clean and tidy. It’s worth mentioning that the more you tip, the better service you get. The pool boys in particular will put your beds and towels out for you everyday without you having to get up early if you tip them. The people around the pool selling massages, fruit smoothies and trips can be a pain but if you ask for a red flag for your table by your beds, they won’t bother you. We did actually book with one of them who was lovely (Tarek). We did the trip to Orange Island, and my girls also did the sofa on the sea (you could also do the banana boat or parasailing). We had our breakfast in the small restaurant in the Solara. At night it becomes the Egyptian a la carte restaurant. The staff in there are really lovely. Sometimes there was a delay with getting teas, coffees, and drinks though as they like to serve you themselves. The main restaurant in the Alora is a bit manic in the evenings. Literally struggled to get a table some evenings!! We booked in to 4 out of the 5 a la carte restaurants and the Chinese was the best. The service in the Mexican was disappointing. We avoided the Indian as we had Egypt belly…..( I ended up getting meds from the pharmacy at the right of the Alora) The site could do with some more snack bars. You can have lunch in the Egyptian, the main Alora restaurant, or the snack bar but the snack bar is quite small and only offers a restricted menu. It’s also quite a walk away from the main pool. The beach is ok but not great. You need water shoes as it’s VERY stony. You can walk out quite far though. Entertainment is ok but not wonderful. We enjoyed the fire show the most. It’s nice that it’s down by the beach as it’s much cooler there. The animation team are lovely and don’t push you too much. The DJ is amazing! It’s safe to walk around outside and the 3 Pyramids shop across from the Alora is fab for dupes, etc. Just be super careful when crossing the main road. They are bonkers drivers! We paid to keep our room on the last day as we weren’t getting picked up until 19.15. It was 40 euros to keep it until 18.00. The transfer time to the hotel was only about 25 mins. We did our Visas online in advance to save any queues upon landing. You need to fill out a landing card on the plane before you land at Hurghada and a departure card at the airport before you leave. Hurghada airport was easy when arriving, but it takes ages when you depart. So many security and passport checks! You even had to queue again for the gates!!! Ridiculous! Separate queues for men and women too in case you need to be patted down. All in all, we had a nice holiday and would encourage people to go to the hotel. Any questions please feel free to Inbox me.

The Drinks: All-inclusive menu covers draft beer, soft drinks, juices, local spirits, and classic mixed cocktails (Mojitos, Tequila Sunrises). : Local spirits are standard all-inclusive quality; cocktails are fast and sweet, draft beer is cold, and imported brand spirits cost extra. Animation & Entertainment Daytime: High-energy team organizing pool games, water aerobics, beach volleyball, and kids' club activities. Nighttime: Daily mini-disco for kids followed by evening stage entertainment (fire shows, live music, belly dancing, and trivia).

The animation team is also one of the good things about the hotel. During the day, there are different activities such as water aerobics, games, sports and dancing. In the evening, they organize shows and entertainment programs. The atmosphere is fun and friendly, especially for families and young people. Overall, I really enjoyed the bars, cocktails and animation. There is usually something to do during the day and in the evening, so the hotel doesn’t feel boring.

We would like to say thabks for the hotel staff for the excellent hospitality. This hotel is amazing wr haf a great time here. Also the service in the restaurants, bars very kind and professional. The pool area nice and clean and the evening entertainment also very good
