Caramel - A Grecotel Resort to Live

We went back to the Caramel after having our wedding night there after our wedding at Agreco Farms in 2022. It was extra special as we bought our 2 year old son and celebrated my birthday and our wedding anniversary! The team went above and beyond to make our stay so special ✨ perfect place for our first family vacation to celebrate such special milestones

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Caramel for four nights, and from the moment we arrived, the staff were proactive, extraordinarily gracious, and highly professional. A special mention has to go to Maria, the General Manager, who was truly exceptional — one of the best hotel managers we have ever encountered, and we have stayed at a great many hotels over the years. From sharing excellent local recommendations for dining and shopping to personally making sure our sea-view room was perfect in every way, Maria went above and beyond throughout our stay. The pool area is beautiful, although we spent most of our time relaxing on the beach sunbeds. We also had an excellent à la carte dinner at the hotel - definitely try the lamb. One tip: be sure to ask the front desk to arrange a guided hike through one of the nearby gorges. We did a spring-water river walk that was absolutely glorious and one of the highlights of our time in Crete. A beautiful property made even better by genuinely outstanding service. We would happily return.

There are hotels you visit, and then there are hotels that become a part of your family memories. Caramel Grecotel is definitely the second kind. This was already our third stay at Caramel, and once again, we left with nothing but the warmest feelings and an enormous amount of gratitude. From the very first moment you arrive, you feel that every single person here genuinely cares about you. From the doorman and the housekeeping team to every waiter, bartender and receptionist — everyone is simply exceptional. They are professional, incredibly kind, attentive, warm and always ready to help with a genuine smile. Absolutely everything is handled with such ease. One call to reception — and whatever you need is brought to you. Whatever you ask for, they will do their very best to make it happen. And the most beautiful thing is that it never feels forced or formal. It feels sincere. We honestly have not a single negative thing to say about anyone. Every member of the team deserves enormous appreciation for the way they do their job. The Kids Club — absolutely wonderful ❤️ A very special thank you to Liza, who is simply incredible. She speaks five languages and has this amazing ability to connect with every child. You can immediately see how much she loves what she does. And a huge thank you to Maria and Eleni at the Kids Club. They took such wonderful care of our daughter, keeping her busy, happy and genuinely interested. She absolutely loved spending time there, and as parents, this gave us such peace of mind. The Kids Club is simply perfect. And then there is Maria… ❤️ I have to say a very special and personal thank you to Maria, the manager. Maria is one of those rare people who can completely transform a place simply by being there. She is an absolutely incredible woman — kind, warm, attentive, genuine and full of positive energy. Our whole family fell in love with her. I truly believe that so much of the atmosphere at Caramel comes from Maria. She has created something very special there — an atmosphere where people feel welcome, cared for and genuinely happy. She is a person with a capital P, and we are incredibly grateful to her for everything she does. Maria, I personally miss you already and absolutely adore you. ❤️ Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you did for us and for making our stay so special. A very special compliment from my husband My husband is, honestly, extremely difficult to impress. 😄 He has stayed at many Grecotel properties and many other hotels around the world, and he is definitely not someone who is easily satisfied. This was his first stay at Caramel — and even he left completely satisfied. That says a lot. Our family holiday was simply wonderful. We were happy, relaxed and genuinely looked after from beginning to end. Thank you, Caramel Grecotel, for another unforgettable stay. Thank you to every single member of your team, and especially to Maria, Liza, Maria, Eleni, Joanna and Sula. You are what makes this place so special. Caramel is a fantastic hotel, what makes it truly special is its exceptional team. Everyone we met was incredibly kind, attentive and genuinely passionate about making guests feel welcome and cared for. Very special thanks to Maria, the Hotel Manager, whose dedication to her guests is remarkable. Maria seems to have one goal: to make every guest happy and ensure that their holiday is as wonderful as it can possibly be. She is always present, always listening, and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. The food is excellent, at the restaurant à la carte, as well as at the main restaurant where the buffet is outstanding. I am not a big fan of buffets but this is one is remarkable. A special mention goes to the incredible chefs, whose talents truly elevate the dining experience. Caramel is also a place of pure beauty and relaxation. The “confetti” pool is absolutely incredible, a unique and joyful space that instantly puts you in holiday mode. And from the hotel, you can enjoy magnificent sunsets and sunrises, the kind that make you pause and simply take in the moment What also made our stay unforgettable were all the small, thoughtful touches throughout the hotel — those little attentions that make you feel genuinely cared for and turn a great holiday into a memorable one. Our heartfelt thanks also go to the entire Caramel team, and in particular to Lisa, Soula, Esperanza, Katerina, Christos and Michael, as well as all those whose names we may have missed but who contributed to making our stay so special. Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. Without a doubt, it is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect, with great attention to every detail. The buffet was outstanding, offering food of a quality you would expect from a Michelin-starred chef. The rooms were beautifully designed, immaculate, and extremely comfortable. We stayed here with our three-year-old son and had a wonderful experience. The hotel perfectly combines the elegance of a luxurious five-star boutique hotel with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Its beachfront location makes it even more special. What impressed us the most was the exceptional service. Every member of the staff was genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and memorable holiday.
